This clip on tuner lives in my bass case now. I have, quite literally, an army on Snark clip ons that go with each of my instruments but this is the only one I have that can read the low strings of my bass guitar without blipping on and off and getting confused. In the past I’ve just tuned with harmonics, but that is not always reliable since as the strings age, the harmonic will get off-pitch. Just by nature, harmonics are just a bit sharp as well. The Lekato clip on performs flawlessly on bass. It’s rechargeable via a mini USB hub, which I love. The LED display is easy to read. It’s incredibly accurate. Most of all, it is easy and quick to use and fits in your pocket. This is the best clip on tuner I’ve had and is worth the money.Read more

I wouldn’t buy another one of these, and here’s why: You can’t avoid comparing this tuner with a Snark, since they are so similar. This one has two advantages- the part that you pinch to open the jaws has ridges, so it’s easier to grip, and it can be recharged. That’s where the positive things end. With a Snark, to turn it on you push a good-sized button that is front mounted and a different color than the body of the tuner. With the Lekato, the ON button is in back, is tiny, and it’s the same color as the rest of the tuner. Push the button on the Snark, it’s on. Push the button on the Lekato, and nothing happens because you have to push and hold it. If you accidentally push the ON button again, it changes to a different mode (set up for a different instrument). A second tiny same-color button let’s you select different tunings, but with the Snark you just tune to what you want and the Snark displays each note without having to put it in a different setting. The Lekato tried to do the Snark one better, but it failed to keep the positive things the Snark has.Read more

Most of the things this tunes does it does exceptionally well. It’s easy to read, holds a charge for two gigs, offers the most common tuning combinations and the price was great. If only once in a while it wasn’t difficult to set it back to guitar it would be all fives. For some unknown reason it will take itself off of guitar and default to just note. I have to fiddle with it for a few minutes to finally get it reset to guitar. I have two and they both do this so I know it’s inherent. I am very, very careful when I turn it on and off but there’s no correlation between my actions and the self-changing. Still, it’s well worth the money and I don’t really need it to tell me which string I’m tuning.Read more

I have used a number of different tuners over the years, including a Prodigy clip-on and some pretty large and relatively expensive ones, the kind with the metal needles and all those bells and whistles they used to have. I didn’t try any other mode than chromatic, which I think is what any experienced musician would use. This one is a small device but the display is very easy to read due to its vivid colors and it turns to just about any angle. To test this device I first tuned my greek bouzouki with my old tuner and then with this one. I was surprised to see that there was an offset in some strings but not in others. That means one of the two is inconsistent in its dynamic response across frequencies. But nature knows how to pick resonances and my instrument never sounded as full and strong as when I used this little tuner. So this has got to be the correct one. Another nice feature is good time averaging. My old tuner with the needle was just too sensitive. If the tone of a string changes as it vibrates over time, as they sometimes do, the tuner was trying to follow every little Herz of fluctuation. This makes it hard to tune, especially in a noisy environment. This one didn’t show the fluctuations, it showed one constant value and it was the correct one for tuning. Pretty good! Therefore, I recommend it strongly.Read more

I really like the larger face on this tuner. The color of the tuning increments is bright, and clear. The size of the tuning increments makes this unit much easier to read than many other tuners that have the narrower smaller size increment markings. I compared the accuracy of this unit to a Peterson Strobe tuner, and it was spot-on with what the Peterson indicated. I also really like that this tuner is rechargeable. That is one less device that will require me to purchase batteries. I have only had this tuner for a short amount of time, so I cannot speak about it’s longevity.Read more

I purchased this nearly five months ago. What attracted me was the rechargeable feature. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and own other tuners by Snark and Yamaha, and though I have had those for years, the prospect of not having to replace batteries prompted me to buy this one with its convenient USB cable. What a mistake! It seemed to work well until today. I was sitting on the couch, and as I tried to snap it on my guitar’s head stock, it fell to my wooden floor–something that has happened dozens of times with my other cheaper tuners, which have stood the test of time. We are talking about a three-foot drop, if that. This one, however, is now useless. When I turn it on, all I see is a diagonal line, as though it were cracked internally. The outer portion is intact; I’m glad I wasn’t on a gig. My return window closed in July, so I wasted my money. I hope I can help someone else avoid this fragile garbage. I’ll stick to the tried and true.Read more

I was using ear fret method of tuning and a cheap little battery operated tuner I got as part of a package. I did not realize until I started using this tuner how off I was on my tuning and how much time I was wasting trying to tune by ear or using a cheap tuner. Tuning my nylon string classical guitar with this tuner too 2 minutes and tuning my steel string acoustic to Drop D took 3 minutes. They sound great. It was not the strings or anything else that seemed a bit off it was the tuning, This is a very good tuner and being able to simply power it on a simple usb outlet makes it even nicer to use, It looks and works great and is very easy to read and use. I highly recommend this tuner.Read more

What can I say except “I love this tuner”? I’m glad you asked. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the item as soon as I pulled it out of the box. It looks and feels like it was made of quality material. It also has a nice weight to it. It doesn’t feel cheap at all although the price itself is low. The screen is very vibrant pleasant to look at. The letters themselves are very easy to see and read. I also believe the tuner to be even more accurate than my previous Fender clip on tuner that I recently broke.. The 360° rotation is an excellent feature plus the amount of resistance you feel when turning it feels very satisfying. Last but not least, its rechargeable! Those circle batteries other tuners use can be hard to find and cost more than you’d like. Not to mention it came with a proper length micro USB cable! Those last few features I mentioned aren’t even features I was aware I was lacking before but I’m more than happy to have them now. Tl;Dr: buy this tuner , you won’t disappointedRead more

Very accurate and battery last long. Also being rechargeable is a big plus. No more wasting money to buy replacement battery which needed to be replaced often on my previous tuner. Only complaint is that the same buttons is to open/close and chage settings which can be confusing/annoying sometimes.Read more

This is a really nice tuner. It would be better if you could adjust the pitch A440Hz to perhaps 442 (for european instruments) however it seems the pitch is fixed at A440. Thank you seller!Read more
