Very sticky 3M tape, easy install, bright and all same consistent coloring, not patchy. Had trouble syncing with the app. On,off,on,off,on,off,on didn’t reset the lights for syncing to app, it’s was actually “Hold down ON button for 5 seconds” Thank goodness I saw that option on one of the other lights I was going to buy to replace these. Worked like a charm! No marking on exterior packaging indicated it was smart lights so I had my doubts they sent me the right item, but the instructions inside confirmed they were smart lights. Terrible instructions didn’t have much information. But this smarty figured it out! So happy bc it would have been a pain to remove and return. Definitely recommend you sync to app before install. I only checked consistency of lights and they were working. Works on Tuya app with Alexa/smart device voice assistants. Remote is okay…my few complaints on the remote: 1) Seems the preset remote color range doesn’t match hues of colors of buttons on remote but the app has a huge range of color and setting; 2) Remote settings Fade, Smooth, strobe and flash are just too fast. But in the app you can customize the speed, colors, and breathe.Read more

I received the lights pretty fast, the next day, everything came in working order, no physical damage or anything. When putting the lights up, I thought I was going to run into the problem of having too much left over. But I guess the two spools aren’t the same length, because one spool spanned across 3 walls while the second was just enough to finish my room with a little left over that I decided to let it hang behind my tv. The lights are actually pretty bright, for a bedroom (in my opinion) they illuminate my whole room even on the darkest red. I can’t seem to get the app to connect though. ☹️ Which is a huge loss for me because, not only was I looking forward to being able to customize the lights. I wanted to be able to set the lights to music which now I realize you would NEED an Alexza or google home thing to do so. I don’t like that the remote has to point to the sensor to work and has a limited color selection but with the app only working for 2.4G WiFi, I have no other choice but to use the remote

I’m giving 5 stars because they work decently enough and there’s no irredeemable flaws. Keep that in mind because theres a lot good and bad to talk about with these guys… PROS: -The app is pretty solid. There’s a colorwheel for picking colors of your own, preset “moods”, fuctional “music” option as advertised, as well as (personal favorites) a timer and scheduling option for your lights. -The timer and scheduling options so far have remained strikingly accurate to actual time. These things turn on at 10 sharp every single morning for me without flaw. -The colorwheel selection is pretty vast and pretty accurate once you figure it out. -I love the double plug ins/cords. This one’s more simple but I still really appreciate the split of two light strips in sight rather than having to thread the whole roll of lights through crevaces I’m not going to see. CONS: -The dimming feature leaves a lot to be desired. The lights dont go super dim at 1% and they only seem to dim noticeably every 25% (which is only 5 brightness options really) – Connecting the lights was quite difficult. Its a wifi and Bluetooth based process that I figure someone whos not as tech savvy w could get deeply frustrated with and quit. -The lights scream on certain settings… The most noticeable one for me is pure red at 20-30% brightness. -I wish there was an RGB sliders setting in addition to or rather than the color wheel. It can get a bit hard to navigate the colorwheel precisely and I wish there was an easier way to fine-tune the colorsRead more

The green LEDs don’t work at all, which I didn’t notice when I tested them before putting them up. None of the green colors work at all (might as well have turned them off), there’s no distinguishable difference between any of the red/yellow/orange colors, and the white is a purple color (see picture). The instructions for connecting the lights to the app weren’t very clear, but I realized after a couple of attempts that the power needed to be disconnected (off) and reconnected (on) instead of pressing the off/on buttons on the remote. Once connected to the app, the “smart” features worked well, excluding the color settings with any green hues.Read more

My son loves these lights. It is nice he can control with the app. The one complaint I have is that the sticky back is so sticky that it will remove your paint. So be sure it is where you want it before you go crazy! We have a few spots of paint and dry wall I will he to touch up because of it! We ended up sticking command strips cut lengthwise on the light strips instead of using the sticky backing under his bed so that it is easier to move the bed and lights for cleaning purposes. I’d say they are not meant to be repositioned at all once placed.Read more

I bought these, they did not work. I replaced them, it did not work. Either Amazon is sending the wrong Wi-Fi disabled devices or there’s something wrong with them. I cannot get these into pairing mode, no matter how many times I follow the instructions. The apps troubleshooting only works to contact help if you have the device added. This is ridiculous. The box I received both times for the replacement and the original don’t even have the same Wi-Fi or Google logo as this one. My guess is Amazon is screwing up here, but it’s also possible that this is just crap hardware. Either way, there’s a million devices on the market. Don’t get this one.Read more
