1. To install on wood, first insert the stainless steel screw into the plastic hook hole, and use a drill/screwdriver to screw the screw into the beam or wooden board.
2. Installed on the concrete wall, the outdoor light string hook is equipped with a plastic expansion hose. Pre-drill a 0.23 inch hole, put the expansion hose into the hole, then insert the screw into the plastic hook and screw it into the plastic expansion hose.

I bought this product with the idea I’d quickly install permanent hooks for my Christmas lights. WRONG…very poor quality screws…about half of the screw heads stripped out causing me all kinds of issues! I’m HOPING the actual installation of my lights works out better…and the fasteners last…if I have to remove the fasteners I’m going to have a real challenge. I have thought about pre drilling the screw holes but that really is ridiculous. For the price I paid there should have been better quality screws.Read more

These are so cheap. While they are easy to install, it is impossible to open the clip wide enough to insert the wires of the string lights. I spent 10 minutes trying to clip my lights in to cover a 20-foot strip of my house and was still struggling. I didn’t even bother to return them, just threw them away. DO NOT BUY!!Read more

The screws are stainless steel which is good. This means it will not rust on your paint over time. The plastic hooks are strong yet flexible. I can bend them and they will go back to their original shape. Very impressed by them. These will last for many years from what I can see. I’ve had a huge roll of outdoor strip lights that has been sitting in a box for over a year. The hanging hardware which came with the roll did not work on my wood railing. These clips are perfect and they hold very securely even on this large gage silicone encased lighting. Now I can just clip these on and start screwing it to the railing, awesome clips! Wish I found these a year ago. You get screws with these that appear to be stainless and plastic wall anchors I won’t be needing. These are sturdy, I was able to open them up and slide them over the light strip, they stay securely on the strip so I can put all the hooks on first and then just screw them in. This is a great product, I will be needing more. Highly recommendRead more
