Nice little play fridge. I choose this specific one because Hape is one of my favorite toy brands and due to the ice machine. My son loves to get ice out of our real ice machine so I thought this maybe a hit and it is. I can always count on a nice cold and refreshing beverage when I stop by his kitchen for a delicious plate of felt fish and wood cookies. I didn’t check the size so I was a little disappointed it wasn’t a tad bit taller but it’s not a deal breaker. I paired it with the ikea kids kitchen which is taller that the fridge.Read more

Like all Hape products it appears to be of high quality. It was easy to put together. There are not that many pieces and the directions were clear. It is small, perfect for a toddler, although I will probably keep the wood ice cubes away from my granddaughter for awhile. The wood feels pretty porous and I think will pick up finger prints etc. I am tempted to spray some kind of varnish on it but that probably negates the whole non toxic thing I like about these toys.Read more

I wish the ice cubes were painted but I’ll do it myself once it gets unwrapped for Christmas (was in a hurry and totally didn’t think to do it beforehand). I have three major complaints. 1. Poor quality control; had random tiny dents, scrapes, dirt smudges, and chips off the paint. 2. This thing is TINY. My three and a half year old towers over it. He’s a whole foot taller than the top of the fridge, and he’s barely an inch taller than other 3.5/4yos. 3. Only half of the pieces are made of real wood. Lots of hard cardboard pieces. Definitely NOT worth $100. I’m really annoyed and strongly considering returning it. I don’t know if I expected better from Hape, but I’m definitely not happy that I spent a hundred bucks on this tiny thing, and the time and the bullding it. My advice : Invest in something a little more expensive that’s hand made from Etsy. I wish I had…Read more

First – most likely amazon related: The first two boxes of this refrigerator I received were badly beat up, with missing parts, and it also looked like the parts were used. Second – the corners aren’t well rounded. I see many here also have a similar setup with the ikea kitchen sink, it’s unfortunate this refrigerator isn’t rounded like the ikea products in safety. Third – not very sturdy. Ultimately I am happy with it, but not happy about the quality control of amazon.Read more

I definitely received someone else’s unboxed item BUT it is otherwise brand new, no damage, and nothing missing. I think they probably just looked at assembly and decided to return. The pieces are not labeled, but the pictures are easy to follow. It is super cute and will be great for imaginary play. I squealed over the tiny wooden “ice” blocks. We do a lot of “build your own” at our house, so putting kids toys together is not daunting – if this sounds like you, you’re in the right place.Read more

My 4 and 1 year old love playing with this little fridge. It’s small, I can easily move it room to room. I don’t like huge plastic space takers. A note on putting it together, one of the pre drilled holes for the bottom door looked as though it wasn’t there (I almost returned it thinking I couldn’t attach the door) but it was covered with the layer of white paint so just had to poke through that to access the pre drilled hole.Read more

I bought this for Christmas and I’m glad I did. It works well and stores her play food so it’s not scattered around the house. It wasn’t easy to put together and it does require two people. To put it together it requires patience and being okay with starting over if the pieces don’t fit exactly. It’s very important to make sure you align the pieces properly. Once this is done it does look great. I used it to combine with our play ikea kitchen set so it’s nice that the colour matches.Read more

It arrived faster than I expected it to be. Bought it because my daughter wanted a fridge because of cartoons that she watches aha. She loves it! The only issue i has was that I couldn’t screw in one screw because the threads didn’t connect in the hole, but it’s still sturdy and didn’t make much of a difference. As well as the instructions weren’t easy to decipher, but then again, I’m not a handy woman.
