Received it few days ago, been using it in my smoothies and cleaning out some parasites. I originally gave this to my chickens because they were not laying, this is a great quality product, its clean and has no flavor(very good sign) . This Harris brand is a good one and it was the best price. Compare my pic of the pump and the bag. the bag is pretty big. The little duster pump it comes with is bigger than i thought, really nice to spray on my flowers ofter they have water on them so the powder sticks. I have used this for my cat who gets tumors and after mixing this with her food after about a month, the tumors fall off, i have been doing this with her the past five years and she still catches mice and rabbits and squirels and she is 18 years old and runs like the wind.. I originally gave this to my chickens because they were not laying, now they lay, it cleans out the parasites. I have quite a bit of experience with Diatomaceous earth, and I can say that this is a great quality product, its clean and has no flavor(very good sign) If you like my review, please click on the yes so I know my reviews are helpfulRead more

I was at the end of the rope on what to do about our flea infestation. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat is constantly coming into contact with neighboring cats – that coupled with the unusual heat we’ve had this summer – seems to have exacerbated our flea problem. I’ve used the awful and toxic flea bombs – on several occasions, have used the expensive flea sprays, used a variety of medication on my cat, and have given my cat several baths – which if you knew my cat – you would know how dangerous that in itself is – because he hates water. After extensive research I came across this product, and what first grabbed my attention was the fact that the “food grade” is not toxic to humans or pets. I have a child in my home and was fearful of introducing anymore chemicals into the home; I also was fearful of putting more toxic chemicals on my cat. I treated my entire home with this stuff, along with my yard and the exterior of my home (window sills, entry ways). Now…..this stuff is really – really messy. I wasn’t sure that I could handle white powder being everywhere but I was desperate to see if this product was effective at killing fleas – as it claimed to be. I sprinkled this product in the interior of my entire home, and didn’t touch the product at all and let it sit overnight. (Around 17 hours) When I got up the next morning, I put a pair of white socks on so that I could see whether or not any fleas jumped on me. At first I was horrified as I literally had hundreds of fleas on my socks. I was discouraged as I first thought that this product was ineffective – not realizing the fleas were actually scrambling to stay alive. Prior to using this product – I had never seen that many fleas in my home. Seeing that many fleas made me realize just how effectice the product was as it drew the fleas out of the carpet as they were trying to get away from the product. I vacuumed up the product – vacuuming my entire home – and didn’t see anymore fleas. Later that evening I vacuumed again – even the hardwood floors – and have only seen a total of two fleas. I understand that I need to vacuum – vacuum – vacuum. I still haven’t let my cat back inside as I have to treat him again. At present I mix this product with his cat food to help treat him from the inside – I also rubbed some of this product into his coat. This product has been extremely effective – I’m embarrassed to admit that I don’t usually write reviews – especially not this long. But because of how impressed I am with this product and how effective it really is, I wanted to share this information in the event it helps someone else.Read more

I’m SOOOOO EXCITED about this! I have been using it for 9 months in my artwork. Then it felt as if something, maybe God, kept bringing it to mind. After hearing about it about 4 more times I dug in to research it. I started taking it immediately and gave it to my dogs. Both of my dogs are 15 and they both almost died about 2-3 months ago at different times. My pain in my wrists and hands went from a 9 to a 3 in 4-5 days, I’ll take it daily. My dog Sabian had the death look in her eyes and everyone told me to prepare my heart. When my dog Oscra almost died instead I was in shock. I hadn’t prepared my heart for that. When I found the all the info on the diatomaceous earth I was hopeful. It worked so fast! My dogs, one of which could never climb one step, is now running and jumping up the 2 steps coming into my house. Within 2 days I noticed how much energy I had. I kept getting compliments on my hair and skin looking so good. Day 4 I got soooo much relief in my joints. My joint pain went from a 9 to a 3! I bought 60 lbs to give away! I gave away my 1 st 4 lb bag within the first week so I’m hopeful that we are all on our way to healing. My body is detoxing but at a tolerable rate. It is easy to do life with this. It may change after I’ve been on it a bit longer. This is week one. I’ve never had anything I’ve ever tried work this fast. Just don’t breathe it or let your animals breathe it. It you or your animals are sick, sprinkle castor oil in their kibble then the diatomaceous earth, mix it up so they can’t breathe it. For people, just put a teaspoon in tea or coffee 3 times a week. The castor oil does a “seek and destroy mission” on any viral infections. So if you try it…you’ll know really fast if it works. My pain went from a 9 to a 6 in my back from the castor oil. Then I fell down a flight of stairs. I use about 1/4-1/2 tsp of castor oil to the same amount D.E. for my 10 pound dogs. I don’t measure, I just guesstimate it. My dogs like it and they have gotten so much better than I’ve ever seen them. Bless you in your process. This is an amazing product! Wow!Read more

Rescued a 5 week old kitten that has fleas. Gave it a bath with dawn and apple cider vinegar but didn’t want to keep bathing it because it was so young. Also didn’t want to put pesticides all over it either. So I decided to try DTE … would highly recommend it for fleas. Treated the room with the light dusting along with the kitten. Left DTE in the room on the carpet for a week and went to bathe the kitten again. Only found one flea. Treated The room and the kitten again after another week…zero fleas!!! Going to dust the room the kitten stays in and the kitten for another week just to make sure eggs and larva are dead but I’d say this stuff worksgreat for fleas. Didn’t have to subject my household to chemicals either.Read more

We had a problem with larder bugs in one room, and couldn’t figure out where they came from or how to get rid of them safely with a cat and a ferret in the home, then I remembered my first year college biology class where we discussed diatomaceous earth and I thought I’d see what’s available. Sure enough, I found this bag of Harris DE, that comes along with a duster, which is a nice help. When it arrived I set up and loaded the duster, and applied the DE along the baseboards of the affected room, creating a barrier. I checked a few times over the following weeks, and only found one larder bug, which was a vast improvement. I reapplied again after about 3 weeks, and saw maybe 1-2 more, but none since. I think our problem is gone, but we live in an old house, so who knows. I’ll keep sweeping up the old DE & re-dusting every few weeks, but it’s clearly working well. It also hasn’t bothered my ferret, who’s been determined to check out what the stuff is. I thought the dust would bother him, but it didn’t even make him sneeze. My mom is going to try putting some on the soil on her tomato plants to keep the slugs off too, so we’ll see how it works in the garden.Read more

Awesome for killing pests. Had an on going problem with those bugs that curl up to a ball, applied this to the perimeter of the house and the next day swept up 20+ of the suckers. Only thing is the included applicator blows the dust everywhere which takes forever to settle. Next time I apply it I plan on just using a small shovel and sprinkling it so I’m not covered in a tornado of fossil dust.Read more

Purchased this product after researching its benefits for parasite and worm control in my dogs. Have been using it (addition to their diet) for several weeks with no noticed side effects on my dogs other than it appears to be effective and I believe is helping to eliminate their worms!Read more

I use diatomaceous earth to manage an ant issue every year. It usually costs me a fortune (and that wasn’t for food grade quality). I am very happy to have found this brand and this quantity at a manageable priceRead more
