Fantastic – plenty ‘DisplayPort to HDMI’ adapters (millions) for sale everywhere, but it is VERY difficult to find ‘HDMI to DisplayPort’. (I.E your video output is HDMI but your monitor is DisplayPort only). I am able to connect my ASUS motherboard (onboard video) which ONLY has a HDMI output to my ASUS PG278Q monitor. The only downside with this adapter is I’ve noticed that if I use the power button under the bottom/front of the screen to turn it off; when I switch it back on using the same button I get no picture. (You need to either disconnect and reconnect the adapter or unplug and replug the monitor from the Wall). This is more of an inconvenience than anything and I’m not sure what causes it. (It might be something to do with a non-standard frequency being used I.E something other than 60hz or 120hz etc due to the adapter being “active” – maybe it isn’t detected). However, power cycling always results in it working perfectly again until you need to switch off. (I’ve found myself leaving the screen on overnight sometimes due to laziness because of the inconvenience).Read more

I bought this product twice because I google searched for days to get the console to output 1080p 120hz on my ASUS VG248QE but like I said. It only outputs to 1080p 60hz. Will update review when I receive my HDMI Female to Female Adapter and use the PS5’s HDMI 2.1 cable on one end and on the other end I will use this active display port adapter. IT WORKS Xbox One X|S Xbox Series X|S Review update: Bought a Series X. Works flawlessly with my Asus VG248QE. Also got it to work with my PS5 with an HDFury DrHDMI product. If you don’t want to buy another pointless monitor knowing full well your monitor is more than capable of 120hz then I highly recommend this product if you just use an Xbox. If you just use a PS5 buy this Active Display Port adapter and the DRHDMI and google the reddit guide. Review will be updated to Five Stars.Read more

I used this to connect my Xbox One to my computer monitor, which only uses Displayport. I can’t feel any input lag, although I feel that darker colors sometimes look a little washed out versus when I use the same monitor with my computer. It’s not noticeable all the time, though. For sound I used my headset through the controller. The USB power is required for this device, but I just plugged that in to an available port on the Xbox. So far it’s been great!Read more

The adapter worked as advertised and matched the PC resolution to the capabilities of the Dell display as expected. As long as there was a signal present at the output of the computer there was no complaint. HOWEVER, as soon as the computer monitor output went to sleep the adapter stopped passing the EDID information from the display back to the Graphics card in the PC, and then the PC resolution would change to another (higher) resolution that the monitor would not accept. This causes an error message to show on the display and the display would never go to sleep. A mouse movement to wake the display would NOT bring the monitor back on. The only way to get the monitor back was to cycle the power on the monitor. I bought another brand unit for the home PC to monitor that does not have this issue; I will keep this unit in my kit bag for a rainy day.Read more

Oculus claims that there is no adapter that can be used to connect Rift S to HDMI… well, this is the adapter!! I am excited to announce that it works great. My HP gaming laptop with GTX 1650 graphics card only has HDMI output and no Display Port. This HDMI-to-Display Port adapter works flawlessly. Picture quality is excellent, no artifacts, frame rate is great. And I can’t be more happier about it….. You guys should tell Oculus to include the link to your adapter on their web-site. Pictures attached.Read more

The adapter arrived very nicely packaged. The adapter is very well made with the hdmi adapter side a black aluminum housing protecting the powered conversion chip. Keep in mind, this adapter is ONLY for an hdmi source (dvr, laptop computer, etc.) with a DisplayPort input (monitor or input to a recorder, etc.). A DisplayPort cable (DisplayPort plugs at each end) is required to connect the adapter to the input side. It will not work from a DisplayPort source to an hdmi input, don’t even try it. Benefi Makes an adapter for that situation also. I know that because, I bought that one first thinking it was bi-diectional . . . It isn’t! The adapter works well with 4k, 30Hz video. My DVR doesn’t have 4k, 60 Hz to confirm if this works or not. The one thing that needs to be improved is the USB port hookup. Most DVRs only have one USB port on the back which is reserved for a wired/wireless mouse/keyboard connection. Luckily, the front of my DVR has a second USB port for connecting a USB drive for downloading video from the DVR. That means for the times I need that feature, I have to find a monitor hdmi port (ie disconnect one already in use, hence the need for the DisplayPort adapter) and find/relocate an hdmi to hdmi cable to connect the DVR, then relocate the USB mouse/keyboard connection to the back of the DVR where the DisplayPort adapter was previously connected. Not difficult but a PITA if a separate hdmi cable is not readily available, or if this situation comes up more than once. Benefi needs to have the USB connection as a “Y” cable with power and data going to a second USB receptacle. Only power should be needed by the adapter, not data, so the data lines would be a straight pass through. A separate USB hub would have to be purchased/re-purposed to fix this, but updating the adapter to eliminate this need would be the best approach for the customer buying this adapter.Read more

Works with a hdmi to display port. I bought another cable but specifically must be bidirectional for the monitor to work. This one works great, I use it with my ps5Read more

Getting PCs to connect to displays using some sort of converter is always troublesome, especially if there is any form of ‘active’ conversion required i.e. one port standard is not a strict superset of the other. In my case I was trying to attach a Dell widescreen display with a DisplayPort to a Dell laptop with only HDMI ports. Note that this is HDMI->DP, and not DP->HDMI. Unfortunately it did not work, but I have no reason to believe that it is the adaptor that is at fault here. As others have already said, your mileage might vary.Read more

STOPPED WORKING. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I got this so I could plug my PS4 Pro into my AOC G-Sync monitor (which only has DisplayPort input). It works great. Previously, solutions to this issue cost 3-4 times as much as a minimum. HOWEVER: A few weeks later, my experience became just like others’: it became flakey and then unusable. Adjusted from 5 stars to 1.Read more

The product does exactly what you need it to: connects an HDMI output to a DP monitor input – provided a USB power source is at hand. In the case of connecting a PS4 that’s not a problem. Everything works as it should. The only downside is the price for this type of connector. DP to HDMI connectors are far cheaper and numerous. This is one of the more reasonably priced options and I’d recommend on that basis. Misses a 5 star rating because of the price, though.Read more
