Though we bought this leash in March 8th, we started using this in April only. After using hardly for 15 days, we started seeing signs of it falling apart. The bungee mechanism inside the leash gave up and it’s now a six foot leash without any elasticity. The outer covering got a loose thread and before you know it, the leash is unravelling liked any knitted sweaters. Though the leash is comfortable to hold and that’s the reason I will give the comfort 5 stars. Looking at the reviews I had high hopes. I have previously purchased leashes from another brand on Amazon, and even with all their reviews and ratings, they kept breaking where the clip attaches to my dogs harness. Then I found these leashes and they have solved ALL my problems! I have two Siberian Huskies who LOVE to pull, and I need an EXTREMELY sturdy leash, not just for myself, but A. so I can have max control over my dogs, and B. to ensure their safety. These leashes are heavy duty, and the locking mechanism on the clip makes me feel 1000x safer than the previous leashes I was using. I absolutely recommend this leash!Read more

Please, for the literal sake of your dogs life, read this before buying. This “secure” leash is terrible. The portion that’s supposed to slide over and lock the leash closed slides down. The first time it came unclipped, thankfully we were still inside, I assumed it was something I’d done wrong. Maybe I didn’t secure it correctly. The second time, just now, almost resulted in the loss of my dogs life! It came off again, this time outside, my dog, a newer rescue that still spooks easily, took off running towards a busy road terrified by all of the noises he kept running. It was a miracle, truly, a miracle he wasn’t hit by a car. Thank God I was able to get him before he ran back out into traffic. I was in tears. It was a terrifying incident that could have ended so badly. Once inside I inspected the leash and found the problem, the sliding clasp is loose, therefore it easily, with no effort, pops off the dogs collar or harness. He wasn’t pulling hard at all both times it came off. Matter of fact there was no tension on the leash either time. My point being, if you’re buying this leash to rely on it to keep your dog nearby and safe DONT! Some people have well trained dogs that won’t take off when off leash. But, if you’re like me and have a younger dog that doesn’t listen well or spooks easily, please, please don’t buy this leash. Even if it’s 1 out 100 leashes that’s faulty and has this problem, it’s not worth the risk. It’s poor quality and you cannot trust it to stay clipped and keep your dog safe! I’ve got a 106-lb Great Pyr/Lab mix who is leash reactive and can/has pulled me over on many occasions (I’m 5’5″). This leash gives me great control of him, and he generally ends up snapping himself back if he charges towards a car or barks his face off at one of his neighbourhood enemies (he’s generally very well behaved, but when he decides to charge…it’s a force to reckon with.) I adopted him in Sept. 2015, and this is the first leash I’ve bought that gives me such great control on our walks. I also love the carabiner closure.Read more

Unfortunately, this product did not meet expectation at all. I have a 100+ lb lab/pit mix who is a lunger/heavy puller and I find that the “anti pull” system actually works against you when the dog is a heavy puller, it almost gives the dog more ability to drag you, vs. pulling it back or resisting the pull. Since it is labeled for use on large dogs up to 150lbs, I would say it is not worth the money. It is not as great as advertised. I’m sure it’s a perfect leash for light pulling dogs who are of smaller statue with less muscular build than a pit. But this is by no means a leash for a muscular, large breed dog.Read more

This is the 2nd one I bought – now have one I can leave in the car plus one at home. The leash has been dragged through the brush and mud when I have let go of the dog and still looks and works great. Shock absorbing feature is great for when dog sees a squirrel or whatever and bolts. I like the extra handle area closer to the dogs neck for when I need more control. The catch is cleverly designed so it stay on well. The seat belt feature latches into the seat belt on my car but tried it without the dog in it. Note that the reflective threading on the lease isn’t adequate for night time walking – you need some reflective material on the dogs coat.Read more

I really liked this dog leash is very strong and it has a part that stretches and helps a lot when my 120 lb German shepherd decides to pull a little bit. It’s better for your hands and arms because it doesn’t have that tight pull of regular leashes! It feels very well made and every part looks of high quality. It has diferent hooks for diferent uses. The only thing that would make it better is a thicker rubber for grip close to the end to handle the dog closer to you. The one it has is a little hard to hold on to. But is better that nothing at all. Very well thought but it needs a little improvement. I highly recommend this product and if your dog tends to pull a little you will definitely appreciate this stretchy leash!Read more
