A few months ago, the largest framed picture in our house (about 65 pounds) randomly fell from the wall in our open stairway. At 3 a.m. in the morning. The glass on the picture broke and the frame had wedged itself in such a way as to completely block the stairway to the second floor…plus huge gouges in the wood railings, newel post. The picture had been in the wall for almost a year when this happened. We cleaned up the mess (our second stairway came in helpful for this), broke out some vintage Scotch, and went back to bed. $175 worth of museum-quality glass later we were afraid to hang the picture again, since we could not figure out why it had fallen from a sturdy hook sunk into a wall stud. After mentioning this to a neighbor however, we think the picture fell because of heavy construction that was going on right across the street for well over a year. The vibrations from the heavy machinery were awful, and it would make glass and dishes rattle…now that the construction is done we are hoping this three-prong hanger holds up to its promises. So far so good, seems to be working. If it happens again I’m going to attribute the event to something paranormal.Read more

I purchased these to hang heavy antique regulator wall clocks. At first I was a bit skeptical that they would work (they are rated for 100#), but after inspecting the material and looking more closely at the design and how there are 3 nails held in place at a precise angle to spread the load and transfer it to the drywall with little risk of pullout, I’m confident that it meets the intended purpose and will securely hold a heavy object. I give it 5 stars.Read more

I was looking for a nail that would be easy and sturdy. I have large pictures and an old home. So I tried several different nails and well if you are a perfectionist like me, (which I hope you aren’t) you may have created bigger holes than you wanted in several different spots. Yes, I measured (for those who thought I just nailed random spots), but you know sometimes it just is off, lol… even after measuring. Also certain nails even ones with extra support, I’ve learned, aren’t meant for certain type of walls. First home issues. That said, these nails are the best nails ever made for heavy frames. really for anything. I love them and super simple to install. They even look cool with the gold tipped nail heads. I’m a girl, just saying. BUY THESE, no other nail will do!Read more

I used to just use a wall anchor with a screw to hang pictures. That worked, but if you needed to remove the anchor, it left a hole that’s tough to just fill with plaster and get a good finished result. These leverage small pins at an angle to hold the frame on the wall. If you need to remove it, just pull the pins and even paint is enough to fill the pin holes.Read more

I usually buy another brand picture hangers but gave these a try because I couldn’t find the size I needed when I was ordering. I was pleasantly surprised, these were more cost effective and much stronger. The nails don’t bend at all when installing hook as I have experienced with my usual brand I was hanging art that didn’t necessarily need 100lb hangers ,but I like that the three nails anchor nicely into the dry wall and hold my large canvases securelyRead more

Wanted to hang a fairly heavy expensive mirror.. in reading a lot of reviews of various hangers I chose these based on comments that they were not damaging but worked well. I especially liked that I could customize the total weight (instructions included) and opted to install the hangers with the ability to hold 100 pound for extra security even though the mirror was much less than that but wanted to feel secure that it would pull off the wall. So far so good
