I bought this to build a washing station for camping, drawing H2O from a 5-gal jerry can. Works great. Good flow. Just what I’d hoped. WIRING NOTE: hook up the 12v + and – to the BROWN and BLUE wires. The yellow wire doesn’t appear to be connected to anything, as I discovered when I cut it open (shown in pic.)Read more

I’m using this in a home-built swamp cooler i made so i could cool my rig on solar. It pumps a more than sufficient amount of water through the whole system. That’s about 2 feet up a 1/2″ rubber tube and then another 10′ or so of 1/2″ PVC and all the water need to come out the jets onto cooling pad uniformly. Just eyeballing things it appears to put as much water out on to the pads as it pushes without anything on it at all so it sure ain’t weak. I’d suggest some pretty good filter mesh in such applications though because the impeller looks fragile and i don’t know how resistant it would be to clogging. I just wrapped some of the blue cooling pad stuff around the base with a zip tie. Anyhow i just wanted to give folks an idea of performance. I didn’t know from looking at the flow rate if it would suffice or not so if you can picture a swamp cooler capable of cooling a 30′ RV then you have a good picture. Good value for the money.Read more

I bought this pump for pumping winterizing antifreeze out of a bucket into a boat motors raw water cooling system. Honestly I just built this tool and only shop tested it so far. This pump is really the most important part and it seems to pump the 600 liters per minute it claims and I assume it would pump up vertically 5 meters as well. If not it would be very close. It’s quiet if that would matter to you, for me not so much. Also I saw in the description and I read in another one’s review that the yellow wire does not need connected. The brown wire is to connect to a 12v positive and blue wire to ground/negative and yellow is unused. I may upgrade to a bigger pump but that is no indication that this pump is not worth or not good for other applications. Don’t expect it to pump water to extinguish a house fire or you’ll be disappointed. But to use for a fountain or fish tank I would definitely consider using this pump.Read more

This tiny little pump moves a lot of water. I have it hooked to a 40w solar panel that pushes 2.22 amps . Although the pump is rated for 1.2 amps it runs fine directly. (Maybe not for long I’m not a wiz at this stuff.) I put a battery in parallel but don’t leave it there for long because it will overcharge. This is a test set up. I left the pump hooked up to the battery w/o sun/solar. It continued to pump a little water even at 4 volts left on the battery. The pump had clogged initially so I cleaned it and put a better filter around it. This is to be expected. I am very pleased with my purchase!Read more

The flow was fine at first. After 10 weeks, the flow suddenly became very slow. I opened the filter box where the pump lives and found a fine muck, but not too much of it, had made it past the filter. The pump was running noisy. I flushed the hose and the pump, confirmed the pump was flowing, and put everything back together. Now there wasn’t enough pressure to lift water 1 foot.Read more

I am using this pump to empty water from a 5 Gallon Plastic Hedpack with cap to my aquarium. This makes water changes much easier. HiLetgo pump fits in the small opening of the container. I just sit the container on floor and let the pump do the work. The pump needs a power supply so I used “12V 3A Power Adapter, COOLM AC 100V-240V to 12V 3A Power Supply Adapter” This power adapter comes with screw terminals to make wiring easier. I wired in a switch for pump control.Read more

The description states “Please don’t work for 24 hours. This pump is intended for use with water only!” What this apparently means is that you can’t use the pump continuously. I did; the first one failed after 37 days. The second failed after 18 days. When it works it works fine.Read more

Bought this with a speed controller for my laser cutter, and this thing has worked great so far! (only ran for about 30 minutes) No crazy squealing/scratching/crunching you often hear when you buy a pump from an online source, this thing runs pretty quiet for the amount of water it’s pushing. Mind you it’s only pushing water through a 40W laser, I haven’t had any complaints so far! Seems to cycle water through without any issues, I’m also hoping to use the speed controller to test the flow of coolant to see what the difference is with different speeds.Read more
