I was a little intimidated at first with these no tie shoelaces I ordered for my son. I didn’t really know how to begin. Let me tell you, these are truly very easy to add to any shoes. My son has a hard time with motor skills and can’t seem to grasp how to tie a traditional shoelace. Grab one string. Lace the shoe up how you normally would.(that is where I was confused before I knew how easy this could be. I figured there was a special way to lace these up.) After you have the laces up to the top of the shoe, cut the strings the same length. Leave enough room so you can add the lace lock. Once you have the desired length, add the lock to the end. It clasps down so there’s no chance of it coming off. You only need two but will recieve four. I guess in case you need extra. Now, when I pick up my kiddo from school there’s never any loose shoelaces anymore. They stay locked in place all day. I like that there’s plenty of colors to choose from. I ordered black because that was the same color as the original laces. I highly recommend!Read more

The laces installed easy enough but they don’t perform very well. To start off the locking/tension mechanism, if you want to call it that, is fairly useless. It’s the Achilles heel of this product. You depress the button to loosen the tension and slide down the laces to keep them tight. However, within 10 or 20 steps/stairs they’ve loosened up again. Very little effort without pressing the tension device slides it down the laces. Basically, they suck, unless I happened to get two bad ones in my package. The second problem is the plastic ends, which clip on the ends of the laces to keep them from fraying. They’re very noisy. They click and clack against each other as you walk. Maybe okay for a kid but not an adult. They should have been made out of rubber or rubber coated plastic to eliminate/reduce the sound. I wouldn’t buy them again and would not recommend to anyone.Read more

I purchased these no tie shoelaces in reflective bright orange to use on a pair of women’s Asolo Thyrus GV hiking boots, size 7.5M. This was my first purchase of this brand since these seem to have the longest length out of most other brands of no tie laces & I wanted to make sure the length would fit the boot (other brands I have used are: Stout Gears, EZlaces, Boom Laces & Lock Laces). Indeed, compared to all the other brands I have tried previously & that are listed before this sentence, I had plenty of spare length after threading the laces the length of the boot. These are a nice thick lace (I would say a little thicker in diameter than Lock Laces), have a good reflective capability and were easy to install. I’m not sure if the spring clasp will have the same holding strength as the Lock Lace clasp does but I think the overall quality of these laces are good. They also came with 2 spare caps (so 4 caps total) that cover the cut end pieces of the lace.Read more

I love these laces. I now use them on all my shoes. The laces are rubberized so they make the shoes much more comfortable. They stretch a bit. I love the way you adjust the laces with the lock down push button gadget.Read more

I have been wearing BioFit sneakers for probably 9 years (same pair) I use a wheelchair so it isn’t like I put a lot of wear and tear on footwear. It was time to replace them, however, my old pair of sneakers pre peripheral neuropathy are Nike Healthwalker VII+ I’m not sure why we kept them but there they were in the closet. Instead of buying a new pair I figured I’d swap the insoles and shoestring replacement. I need an easy way to put my shoes on and my BioFit sneakers had a velcro strap. After putting these on to replace the shoestrings it has actually made the Nikes easier to put on and take off because I don’t need to get my hands involved in the process. That is a MAJOR plus!! The installation was overall pretty easy sans when you get to the point of putting the cap over the cut ends, trying to snap that thing together was a huge pain in da booty. Once everything is together you really don’t need to touch them again though which like I said is fantasticRead more

Oh my thank you who’ve decided to put these out! My fave Keene shoes had these, but the last pair did not sadly. When I saw you could make ANY shoes like this, I quickly ordered a set to try it out. Works beautifully and makes me so happy as I have a high arch and boney point to the top of my foot, making many shoes with regular laces somewhat uncomfortable, adding these flexible and tie-less laces is so wonderful! I have already purchased an additional set for another pair of shoes! Definitely will be a repeat buyer!Read more

Followed the instructions and it was pretty easy to install on my daughter’s athletic shoes. The lacing holes on the shoes were really tight for the cord so I wrapped the ends with tape that helped me to pull the ends through the holes more easily. The end caps were slightly difficulty to clamp shut as the fit was quite tight but I think the trick is to align the cords perfectly within the holes. I had to trim the cord ends before placing them in the end caps because they were frayed from me pulling them through the too-tight holes prior to wrapping them with tape. Be sure that the “teeth” of the end caps are secured or it will eventually fall off! I actually have enough cord left over for another pair of her shoes but I lack the other hardware that’s required. Oh well. Perhaps they can serve as backup laces?Read more

Not that I’m lazy, but I have been looking for some kind of laces to put on my tennis shoes so I could just slip them on and off. I tried other, rubber lace replacements and ended up going back to the regular shoe laces. Then saw a deal on these and decided to give them a try. Let’s just say I am very happy with these. I came back and bought a second pair after the deal expired for a second pair of shoes. These work great and tighten up perfect. I don’t feel like my shoes are too lose or about to come off. Time will tell if they last but right now, I am very satisfied with these and would highly recommend.Read more

Bought these as I’m forever changing footwear for dog walks / work etc and make things a tiny bit quicker & easier. Went for the bright green due to black walking shoes and the current darkness when I’m walking the dogRead more

My daughter hates wearing shoes. Maybe it’s her free spirit. Maybe it because her shoes are from the clearance rack at Kmart etc. Whatever the reason, getting her to learn how to tie her own shoelaces was doing my head in… Stress no more I tell you – These things are amazing. She has caught her fingers in the ‘clip’ mechanism more than a few times, but thats a small price to pay for finally getting her to Private School on time, and in shoes no less… Winning !Read more

I bought a couple of these for my ASD son as he has a real issue with learning & wanting to tie shoe laces and they look great. They give his shoes a very cool high end updated look. In fact I love them so much I just bought some for my sketchers! They’re really easy to put on each shoe and the clip at the end makes it look really tidy. Definitely will buy again for him (& for me!!!) when needed. Highly recommended!Read more

So I bought a pair for my 8 year son who has difficulty tying laces. They lasted less than 2 weeks – the fastener fell off one shoe, and so did the other piece to tighten the laces. I’m going to have to buy a new pair just to replace those pieces that fell off and got lost. Otherwise worked well.Read more

The clasp is junk, doesn’t hold at all on one and the other is really weak. The molding around the button catches on the side and the spring is too weak to hold the laces in place. For $10 I expected much better quality…they’re completely useless. I already cut the laces so I doubt I’ll get a refund. They’re like dollar store garbage but cost $10. Look elsewhere.Read more
