What good is an instrument that will not stay in tune? I can’t even get the thing in tune (and I’m an experienced guitar player). This thing is a toy and not something to be used for serious learning. I suggest people look to purchasing a name brand like Cordoba and spend $150-$200.Read more

Recieved the Ukulele today and it is beautiful. Love that it came with tuner, strap, extra strings and case. The only thing that is concerning to me is that where the frets are they are sharp and are rough. It def could cut someone. I may have to contact seller and ask about this. Im just concerned about little hands. but otherwise beautiful and I am excited to practice.Read more

I ordered this for my son, who is a senior in high school and taking ukulele for a music credit. He would come home from school and practice a couple of times a week. Shortly after we bought it, he had some difficulty tuning it, but worked through it. Last week he picked up the uke after not using it for a bit and the bottom piece that attaches the strings to the uke completely split off. There is no way for us to even try to fix it. I was hoping I could return the product but it’s been too long. I know this wasn’t expensive, but I would look to purchase a different product that will last longer. On a side note, my son did take care of this. He kept it in the storage bag it came in, and it was tucked on the side of his dresser so he wouldn’t have any mishaps with it. Very disappointed with the quality.Read more

This was one of the cheapest ukuleles on Amazon at the time of my purchase. It was intended as a gift to a young child as a beginner instruments but I ended up having to purchase a different instrument as this one was not giftable IMHO. This ukulele has so many problems I don’t know where to begin. The finish quality is horrible. There are rough patches and even areas where the stain and finish are completely missing. The action is very poor. Nut is high, so it would be difficult for a beginner to play even simple chords in the first position. Intonation is poor to begin with, I don’t think the frets have been placed exactly where they need to be. The extremely high saddle makes the intonation even worse. By the time you get to the 12th fret, it’s off by almost a quarter tone. Basically, any chord that includes an open string sounds out of tune. The factory strings are also very poor quality, and keep stretching and falling out of tune over a just a few minutes. This may be normal when you first tune a ukulele with new strings, but the same behavior after several days of use is unacceptable. Basically, if you are looking for a cheap toy for a young child for pretend play, it may be a good deal, but as a musical instrument, it is worthless.Read more

I thought it was great at first. It doesn’t look super cheap. Then I realized one of the frets was too high. When you tried to push a string down on the frets above it, the string would always hit the high fret and you couldn’t get the right note. I returned it for a new one, which doesn’t have any issues yet.Read more

UPDATE: I’ve had this uke for a while now and it continues to look and sound great, even though I’m clumsy and often bump it into things. My brother is a professional guitarist and he has an ukulele as well, but he frequently borrows mine because, according to him, it sounds way better than his. So, now you’ve heard it from a beginner and a professional–this uke has a great sound! Also, as expected, the A string is no longer a problem. I tune all of the strings every day before playing and the A string now stays well tuned through my whole practice session! — Original review: I’m not a professional when it comes to how an ukulele should sound, but in my opinion as a beginner, it sounds beautiful! I had to make sure to tune it every day before and after practice, as I heard you should do with new strings? The A string used to give me problems going out of tune every few minutes, but it’s gotten much better since I’ve been playing every day.Read more

I only received this ukulele last night, but I’m incredibly impressed with it! It arrived a day later than anticipated, which is a bummer, but it came! I like the weight and sturdiness. I half anticipated a dinky plastic instrument for the price, but it’s definitely not. Very happy with my purchase. I am also a Nubie to ukulele’s and don’t have much to compare to, but for a first ukulele, I’d recommend this for anyoneRead more

I bought two of these to give my kids for their birthdays. The uke itself is decent quality-really good value for the price. It’s perfect for my young kids who aren’t always careful with their things. I marked it lower on giftability because the gif bag that comes with it is very flimsy and tore with just a few uses. Otherwise, high marks for this product if you have a tiny budding musician in your life!!Read more
