If you’re a cat lover like me then you know that you would do anything for the furbabies. My cat Worf was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease about a year ago and I have tried everything I possibly could to help him. I tried him on different medications that were prescribed by his doctor as well as the prescribed food. Didn’t help. I tried giving him supplements. Nope. I tried giving him food with nothing else added. Didn’t help at all. He progressively got worse and worse until he was almost a bag of bones. I was so worried about him. I did some research online and found that raw food works best for cats with IBS. I was skeptical but he has been on the food for about a month now and he has put all of his weight back on. I am so grateful for this food. Thank you so much for giving my kitty his life back!!!!!!!!!Read more

Unfortunately, I stopped my Subscribe & Save order for this. I get 2 bags a month and noticed last month that there were very few raw pieces in the first bag. Second bag, same. My cats reluctantly ate it. I thought maybe it was a bad batch. This month, 2 bags and again both have very, very few raw pieces and they are dark yellow and small. I went to the pet store and grabbed a bag and it was just like I remembered. Tons of raw pieces and they are light yellow/off white. Something is definitely different about the Amazon stock.Read more

I received the product June 13. I began feeding to my cat within a week. The product was kept in a Tupperware container. Yesterday she started vomiting shortly after eating her food. This happened 11 times over 2 days. This cat is 1 year and has never vomited. Before I took her to the vet, I changed her food and she stopped vomiting within 2 hours. Maybe it should be refrigerated? It was in an air tight container. Not sure but it would appear that the product went bad :(( in less than a month.Read more

My cat is very fat( think 13 lbs bowling ball) , so I put her on a strict diet and changed her food to this one, a way better quality food than the purina one she was eating. I wanted to switch her to raw food, but time and money are a factor, so I decided to try the raw dehydrated food first, and since this had a format she would be familiar with I opted to try it. From the beginning, my cat has been angry about her diet change. She didn’t eat for several days before finally caving to eat this one. Now she tolerates the kibble portion, she doesn’t like it still, but WILL NOT eat the nuggets, which is the reason I wanted to buy this food. Whole, crushed, wetted, she will not eat those boosts or the mixers I bought as treats and toppers. She pushes them out of her dish, all over the floor. In summary, this product is fine, it is a good option for those who want to switch their cats to a healthier diet, but my cat absolutely hates it. She eats it, but with zero joy and complains the entire time. She has lost weight…but because she only nibbles at this food when starving because she has no other option.Read more

Have been feeding both my cats Instinct Raw Boost for about 3 years with no incident. However, according to my calls directly to Instinct, in January, both cats started throwing up. I called Instinct and tried switching the flavor from chicken to Instinct’s other flavors, Turkey, Salmon and Duck, but after several meals, again, the cats continue throwing up. They are fed approximately one tablespoon at a time, on a schedule. We do not leave food laying around (i.e.: free feed). It started with the chicken, so we switched to turkey. Then we tried salmon and finally the duck. After several feedings, each flavor stopped staying down and being thrown up, within an hour of eating. If they were eating too fast, they would throw up immediately after eating. If they were sick, they would be throwing up the canned Instinct as well, but they are not. They do not have hairballs (SHD), as the only thing that comes up is the food itself. There is nothing else but kibble present in the vomit. At my wits end…Read more

I found a piece of plastic stuck in a kibble when my cat almost finished the whole package…… I am so shocked and sad because Instinct was one of my favorite brands for cat foods. I bought this on July 1, 2019. If you bought this food around that time, stop feeding your cats for their safety and health.Read more

This cat food is really the best I’ve ever used. I’ve had 4 cat’s in one home (2 are my adult daughters)… 2 are seniors and 2 are younger than 3 yr. They are all healthy and happy. Very few instances of throwing up, one of the older kitties has a sensitive stomach. They’ve got silky fur and lots of energy. My only con to this particular formula is the size of the bag. It only comes in a small bag… So there’s no volume discount and I’m constantly buying a new bag.Read more

We tried this food because our cat was shedding a lot, gaining weight, and throwing up frequently with our previous food. Since transitioning to instinct raw boost, she is starting to trim down, has a much healthier coat, and hasn’t thrown up once. Additionally, she is shedding less. Although all of these things may not be down to just this food, but we are grateful for the benefits we are seeing and will continue to pay more for a really great product.Read more
