I normally do not write reviews but in this case I am extremely happy. This item did EXACTLY what I expected. I moved in to a typical commercial carpeted office that smelled of smoke, plastic (totes, you know that diaper pail smell), and god knows what else. One room was about 200-300 sq ft and the other about 400 sq ft. I purchased and returned four different units from Lowes and Home Depot costing between 150 and 300.00. After running each for about a week the smells still lingered. Mainly the new filter smell masked the odor for the first two days then the original odors started to linger again. I thought I was going to have to remove the carpet and any other fabric. I remember my parents had something similar to this years ago and it worked well. After an hour on max, in each room with the door closed, it took out everything. There was a heavy ozone smell which dissipated in about a half hour with the original odors gone! I keep the ionizer on most of the day with the ozone setting on low for about an hour in the morning on days I have clients in the office. To me this keeps an internal office with no windows pretty airy in my opinion. If you are a smoker, do not waste your time with any other air filters that cost two to three times as much. If you have allergies or are in a dusty environment that requires a HEPA filtration option, then by all means spend the money. But if odors and smoke is your target this small box does the job. Only thing to be cautious with this unit is it works EXTREMELY WELL. The downside is if you or your clients are sensitive to ozone you need to think ahead of the game with this. Only use the ozone setting when you need to eliminate hard to remove odors. Running on high for two hours with the room closed and UNOCCUPIED (including pets) should do the trick. I personally leave just the ionizer/fan running throughout the day with the ozone function off. The directions are pretty simple to follow but remember everyone’s sensitivity to ozone is different. Keep this in mind if you are using this in an office setting.Read more

An unfortunate rat died below my guest bedroom under the house. I believe it was a feral cat who eliminated the poor creature as I do not keep poisons. At any rate, there he was. I could see him, but I could not reach him (back problems), though I tried. And I tried. And I considered cutting a hole in the floor just to remove him from under the house because the smell was so awful. But, I remembered I had this delightful machine I use once in a while for the aroma of dog, which some uncultured guests find oppressive. I used the machine in the room most effected by the decomposition of the rat below the house (45min, then tapering off in steps for 15 min). This vanquished the smell completely for a day and a half. I used it again after someone was able to remove the rat. The smell was completely gone in 30 minutes. I will sing this device’s praises all day and night. The value is great. Material quality is not actual wood. It feels like a particle board with a veneer, but the particle board is not what is taking the stench out, so… yeah. Just don’t go into it expecting wood. I’s not. But, it looks great and, more importantly, does what is claims to do. Jury is still out on durability. I am concerned about the particle board as I live in a high humidity area. I already scratched the veneer by bumping the device into the side of a shelf on which I am storing it. If you have a stink (or recurring stinks), get this. I had a different one with higher ratings before this and it shorted out after 3 weeks (4 uses at 30 min). The one featured here is fantastic. Amazing. The smell of dead rat (memory eternal, little guy) is NOTHING for this device to conquer in 30-45 min. You’ll be glad you bought this.Read more

I love what this machine does as far as reducing odors around our litter box. BUT. I have purchased 2 in the past 2 years…the last one on August 2017 and it has died just as the previous one did. I will NOT be fool enough to purchase another one.Read more

This is the third air purifier of this type I have owned. It works just as well as the more expensive models. The only complaint I have is that the ozone generator is way too strong even on the lowest setting. They should have specific warnings with the unit as it can give you ozone poisoning if you are not careful. I only use the ozone function when I am not in the room. It is very effective at dealing with tough odor problems. The ionizer works well and has no negative effects. I often use this function in my bedroom while sleeping at night.Read more

I’ve had this for a week and so far it’s working wonderfully. I put the ozone setting on 2 (one dot above “low”) and the ionizing setting at the middle and we run it for several hours at a time while we’re home. I wouldn’t suggest putting the ozone any higher than 2 if you’re going to be in the house while it’s running because the ozone can irritate your lungs. Some things to note: 1) To use this to purify the air in your entire home, you need to set it up close to your air intake of your AC and leave the doors of all of your rooms open. Our AC intake is in our hallway, with no outlets near it, so we aren’t able to do that. Instead, we move it around the house every couple of hours to treat each room. We leave doors open to any rooms nearby where we’re treating and it does help those rooms too, just not the whole house at once. 2) Please, please, please follow the cleaning instructions and be diligent in remembering to clean it. These things pull the dust from the air, which accumulates on the back and on the filters. Dust is very flammable. These things can also create static. One little spark is all that’s needed to ignite the dust. This happened to a family member of ours who had a similar unit from a direct sales company several years ago. We haven’t had to clean ours yet since we’ve only had it for a week, but just as an added precaution we don’t run it when we’re not home.Read more
