I bought several of these (not on Amazon) last Christmas and were satisfied with them. Everyone I gave them to loved them, adults as well as kids. I first saw a different brand of these and the ratings were so-so. I looked for others and came across this brand. While they are not perfect in audible quality (shouldn’t expect perfection in a fairly cheap toy), they are much better than the last ones I bought. I’ve found that the speech repeat is much better understood if you speak slowly and clearly. The review page wants a rating for volume control. Mine did not come with any volume control. Overall, these are still much better than previous models. (NOTE, an additional bonus: my dogs are afraid of them. Now I know how to keep them out of certain areas!)Read more

I bought one as a Christmas present for my friend’s toddler. He loved it and so did her other toddler, so I got them a second one so they wouldn’t fight over it. It repeats what is said in an amusing high-pitched hamster voice. It’s addictive, even to adults! Hard to put down and really engages whoever picks it up. I gave this to my girlfriend so our dogs could play with it like in the video. After the thing said a few words or whatever, one of the dogs picked it up and promptly tried to tear it apart. Dogs should be supervised with this toy. Otherwise, it is everything as advertised. You can’t help but laugh at it. It lost a * because they did not include 3 AAA batteries. If someone got this as a present at Christmas, he or she may not have been able to use it because there were no batteries. Come on, throw 3 cheap AAA batteries in the bag.Read more

Dont listen to reviews, this hamster does not repeat what you say, it just makes a mumble noise and shakes at whatever noise is in the vacinity. Giving to a 3yr old, so im sure she will get a kick out of it, but probably get very bored of it, very quickly.Read more

I purchased this for my grandson who will be 3 in October. As soon as it arrived, I opened it, and placed the batteries in it to see how it worked. Oh my goodness, it is hilarious! I could not stop laughing and I am 57 years old! He is going to love this toy, and grandma is going to buy one to have at her house for when all the little ones come over. a friend had something similar to this so i wanted one cuz i thought it was hilarious. bought 2 of them for my college aged sons to keep them company. it was fun to listen to them speak back but the feedback loop seemed busted as it would only pick up part of what we said or not at all. then all of a sudden it would speak out of nowhere as it started to move up and down. we laughed but thought it was too risky to keep cuz if it went off in the middle of the night we’d have a heart attack. ordered another one from a different company. hoping that works better.Read more

It is a squealy and annoying toy. It has a sharp squeal and voice. It hurts my ears. My child turns it off. It does repeat but the high noise is extremely hard to handle. I love how it moves though. Almost real life. My 20 mo old has thrown it down on a concrete floor many and many times and it surprisingly still works great.Read more
