I’ve been using an old fashioned hand can-opener for the longest time. At the prodding of my wife (who does most of the cooking), I decided to give this a try. I was honestly surprised at how well it works. The first time I used it I thought I had done something wrong because it appeared the can hadn’t been opened. I didn’t realize it was opening the outside edge (I’m used to the hand crank opener which opens the inside of the lid and leave a rigid sharp cut). Nice clean, goes all the way through, and then lid then just pops off. Love it.Read more

This item was a little heavier than I expected. This is not a problem, but a bit of a surprise. This can opener is so easy and dare I say fun? Place it on top or the can, push the button and walk away. Push the button again to release and voila! Done! I love this thing. I plan to buy several as gifts for my loved ones. I can barely get this stupid thing to even open a can. You put it on the can, hit the button, and it just spins and spins and spins and then is almost impossible to turn off! I’ve had to go back to my faithful handheld can opener! I would have returned it, but my husband threw away the packaging without asking me! Definitely a BIG waste of money!Read more

Just received (nice lavender color more than purple), just put the batteries in (not supplied), and the opener was on. My advice? Keep your fingers clear of the blade even when installing the batteries. I’ve not used the opener yet but I’ll update my review when I do. 09/25/19: Have used it just twice so I cannot speak of battery life but I’m happy with this purchase. Very important to get the opener correctly set in place (I had to make two attempts my first go round). Also found that the lid might need a little pressure to lift up so be extra careful especially with cans containing lots of liquid (think soup) else the liquid will go flying. Overall? So far I’m pretty happy with this opener and definitely prefer it over my previous manual opener.Read more

My wife has osteoarthritis and this gadget is a game changer for her. I also have a “trick” right wrist that can be aggravated operating a manual can opener. We’ve opened all sizes of cans with it without issue. The only negative I can offer is the fit of the battery cover is slightly (0.5 mm maybe) misaligned requiring more force than I’d like opening/closing the cover. Hopefully it doesn’t become an issue later on after multiple battery changes. For now we love it!Read more

purchased due to broken elbow and received 6.11.19. Battery install with one hand was easy. First can it didn’t work. But same issue I would have with my manual OXO and Kuhn Rikon, if the can label is too close to the lid lip it interferes with blade contact. pulled the label away and it worked. 2nd can the label was already wrapped to expose the can. only issue is that my manual openers have a pincher like addition that grips the lid to remove it. With one hand and the vacuum sealed contents, it is a bit more challenging to open. I would recommend this!Read more
