So recently I’ve noticed a dirty, moldy smell whenever I turned the AC or heater on and I asked my dad how long it was since he changed the cabin filter and he told me he didn’t know the car had one so I decided to buy a new one and I’m glad I did and best of all is that this Cabin Filter is washable unlike the others. The installation was really easy as well on the FJ Cruiser, just had to look up a few videos on youtube and in less than 2 minutes I installed the new filter.Read more

I am not a fan of K&N air filters for engines, but the cabin filters are another story. I have a 2003 4runner and most of the aftermarket disposable cabin filters are to restrictive for the climate control fan. No point in having filtered air if you can’t get it to blow on you and cool you down. The filter is a little pricey, but very well made and it fits perfectly. It should easily last 5 years if you clean it properly and that makes it worth the price. I am used to cleaning my home electrostatic air filters anyway. This filter is less restrictive than your typical filter, but the electrostatic charge that builds up will catch small pollen dust which is the bain of my existence. I try to check mine at least every 6 months especially if I am drawing in fresh air and not using recirculate.Read more

I’ve always loved K&N filters! This is no exception. As soon as you pull it out of the box, you feel the heavy duty quality and understand why these can last a lifetime. I highly recommend this and all K&N products. I replaced the in-cabin filter with this K&N filter as well as the engine filter on my 2004 4Runner Sport with the K&N option. I always place the sticker that comes in the box, right on or near the filter housing. Its a great reminder to clean and service the filter periodically. Don’t waste any more like looking or researching, just buy this filter. You’ll love it!Read more

I have owned several K&N filter products over about 10 years, and they are always durable and easy to maintain. They are also priced high because, I guess, they won’t need to be replaced. PROS: Well built and direct fit in my 2006 4Runner CONS: Expensive CONCLUSIONS-RECOMMENDATIONS: The original price is high, but it pays for itself within a couple of years. I have not noticed any post-installation odors, as has been mentioned in a few other reviews. I’ll buy one for my wife’s RAV4 next time it needs a new cabin air filter. I am happy with this product and recommend it.Read more

I like the concept of these reusable filters and took the leap. I’m impressed at how heavy duty they are but that’s about it. Although step by step instructions are included, they point out not to break the clips that hold it into place, impossible, as this filter has zero give. The absolute worst thing about the filter is that it stinks! Not a fresh air type of stink either. It’s a new plastic/chemical smell that is just downright awful .Read more

I love the filter. And it fits in the cradle perfectly. But… when I close my glove box with it installed, it causes some ressistance. Which can cause the latch to jam. When I take the filter back out… the glove box works perfectly again. I’m still using it

Fit nicely in the cabin air filter housing. One thing I have to say is that it wasn’t fully square shaped. It was bent inwards on two sides. This can allow air to flow in the gaps from the housing. Next time, please make it stay it’s square shaped. Update: the filter made my motor make loud sounds. Not sure if it’s because of the bent-ness allowing debris to pass through the filter. Any case, I’m returning the filter. Changed back to paper and it doesn’t make as loud of a noise anymore. Not even sure if I will want to change the motor to fix the noise problem that did not exist before this. Lexus 2007 vehicle.Read more

Installed perfectly. Haven’t ran it yet to give it a long term evaluation. Got tired of replacing paper ones for $20 a year so within 3 years it should pay for itself. Great! The air flow it noticeably better. That has to be easier on the fan motor. Unless it is quit hot the lowest setting will often be all that is needed. I have one in all the cars and I’m really quite pleased with is product. I have not yet cleaned one so unless it falls apart when I do or is not as good after the first cleaning I’m saying five star product!Read more
