So I read all reviews before buying just to see if anyone post as “construction area” but I did find good reviews. So for the first day of using them felt comfort in the way I handle different objects. Which found it did it job. I’m in plumbing and we solder alot and handling heat. Thumbs up. Now I core holes on wall got all wet still handled it tuff work. And lifting iron and cast iron well no tear. So for first day I got to say survives. I’LL post after for updates. The only thing I would say if you have always wore medium size well I would get small cause they are larger so large would be xlarge. So it’s been awhile now still love them they are comfortable to my heavy duty job but I do have to say gloves do wear out as they are supposed to. For example a couple days back I was picking up sharp steel studs this time it poke thru. But overall great pair of gloves.Read more

We live in CO, which is ground zero for those evil, pokey thistles. Additionally we have an amazing rock area that the house makes us keep…yay. so, each year we end up spending countless hours being poked by thistles. These were amazing during our last round of weed pulling this year. Pros: 1) leather. These hold up to heavy jobs, and I wasn’t poked once by a thistle. We have some pretty big ones, so they are definitely good! 2) color is good. Just like the picture. No errors in stitching, and the quality looks good. I anticipate these will last and not rip, etc. 3) the size large is good for large women’s hands. I have really long fingers…about the size of an average sized man’s hand in length. If you have larger hands consider sizing. This is a good size for most people. Cons: I don’t have any. Price and quality is right!Read more

So..I ordered about 5 other so called “thorn proof” gloves..these were the cheapest and work best! I just wish they made them long enough (to your elbows) so that you don’t have to worry about getting snagged by a blackberry vine. Still will give them 5 stars as they aren’t advertising them specifically as thorn proof or pruning gloves.

I’ve paid a lot of money for decent work gloves so, at $9.99, I wasn’t expecting a lot. This pair of gloves exceeded my expectations and, after looking at them, my other half is asking me to order him a pair. In particular I’m impressed by the magnet built into the glove. This comes in very handy for us as we’re in the process of building a cabin and adding on to a garden shed. This leaves the screws or nails at the ready for me. Particularly handy when you’re on top or near the top of the roof! As a woman, I find most glove don’t fit me right as they’re made for men. I usually wear a woman’s size medium and these fit me perfectly (size medium). Not too tight and not too big. The mesh inside help prevent my hands from sweating and also prevents chafing from direct contact with the leather. The light elastic banding along the wrist help to prevent things from falling into my glove when I’m working . There’s a lot of saw dust around when you’re building a log cabing and it seems to get everywhere. I won’t say I didn’t have ANY at the end of the day but, definitely less. Usually I have to stop and empty my gloves several times in a day. With cheap gloves you’re also not really sure what leather they’re really made from. I’d say these are legitimately cow hide just as advertised. They don’t have a nasty smell, give you a good grip, and appear to be every bit as durable as the gloves I’ve paid twice as much for.Read more

I purchased small gloves. They are too large for my wife, but fit me well I tend to be between a small and medium size in gloves. I haven’t used these gloves enough to speak to durability. I have used them to rake leaves and carry firewood and they don’t show any signs of stress. I generally used Lamont leather gloves from working clearing briars and brush. These gloves are not as thick as the Lamont, but they are sufficient for most work, and much more comfortable.Read more

I do a lot of gardening and go through gloves quickly. These gloves are thicker leather than others I have found. Question above about water resistant… they are leather, they get wet… that’s ok. If I want waterproof I wear rubber gloves. Where other gloves last only a few weeks before holes in the finger tips (which I sew shut to extend their life on my sewing machine) They have lasted several months! As far as size goes… I’m a woman with very small hands so these are a little large (size small) but this is not new for me so I’ve learned to make do since the options are limited in a good work glove. They are a little stiff at first but work in. I’ve had other gloves that were really soft but they don’t last. So I do recommend them. I am always ordering ahead one pair.Read more

I bought these because I have a rose bush and a holly bush I needed to trim back and those thorns are evil. These worked perfectly even when I grasped the thorns pretty tightly. I’m impressed! For the women looking to buy: In terms of fit, I’m a tall woman with a bit larger than average hands for a woman and the medium fit just right. If you have small hands, the medium would probably still work. They’ll be a little large, but not like the average man’s work glove.Read more

We recently purchased property overgrown with blackberries. These are fantastic at protecting my hands from the thorns! I had a stick or two from really large thorns, but these gloves still saved my hands from the pain I would have felt without them. They’re holding up well considering the abuse they’re getting. I bought three pair, two medium and one larger size. They fit my husband and son perfect. For me they’re pretty big, I typically wear a medium, so I would go with a smaller size for next time. I still highly recommend these work gloves, overall.Read more

If these were intended for gardening then I think they would be ok until you face thorns and rose bush branches, since the leather is somewhat thin but very stiff, and they offer next to no insulation from the cold plus the seams are rather thick and tend to catch under your fingernails. I ordered a very similar pair of gloves last year containing a fleece lining and the difference in comfort and finishing is very notable. These gloves are rough and ready for painting, maybe heavy carpentry, shovel work, digging etc, but for my job in a cold storage warehouse they are cumbersome, and restricting, cold and fairly uncomfortable over long shifts, therefore I ditched these and went back to warm knitted company issue gloves again after just one shift. Only 5 out of 10 on the gloveometer I’m afraid.Read more

Thought I would give these a try as an alternative to those cheap part-leather Rigger gloves. I measured my hand according to the photo in the listing and they are 22cm, in between the medium and large sizes. My fingers are longer than usual, so I went with the Large size. The fit has been very good for me, with the fingers been not quite long enough for me (but I’m used to that). They come up slightly higher on my wrist than a Rigger glove and fit me a lot better. The whole thing is genuine leather and there is some stretch in all directions because of this. Because there is no cotton reinforcement or other stitching the leather should deform slightly to fit me even better as I use them. There are loose bits of leather on the inside (see photo), not a problem as such, but they do remind you these are fairly cheap still! However, I have not seen any issues with the construction and they provide the protection I was expecting from sharps edges of stones and bricks. Would probably buy again actually…Read more

These came quickly. They fitted really well as I had folowed instructions and measured my palm width. Have used them cutting back nettles and stingers and not a thorn or a sting! Next job will be pruning a berberis. Love that the thumb is flexible because of clever stitching. Would definitely buy again as good quality at a good price.Read more

A bit small for my 27 year old son – who has small hands for a man, but fine for me size 7and a half glove size – if a bit long on the fingers. Work well v thorns and also scraping bits of moss of concrete – if you’re trying to do that at 6am in the morning without disturbing the neighbours.Read more
