It is nowhere close to 90,000 lumens. Its about 10% brighter than my 800 lumens streamlight. I have a 1500 Lumens micro-flashlight with a single 18650 battery that puts out more light. However, I wanted a flashlight that could be recharged with a USB cable (wish this was USB-C) that had a strong battery life and could be used in a pinch to charge my phone. For the money, it fits the bill so far, but time will tell with the battery life. Hopefully with 10000 mAH batteries and the low lumen output of this flashlight that it will last quite a while on a single charge. For reference – The eye piercing, cornea melting, light up the whole roadway like an airplane strip HID car headlamp produce an average of 3500 lumens. I see advertising like this a lot on Amazon. They have some light that looks like it can light up an entire cornfield and act as a portable Bat Signal. A lot of products say they’re the brightest and put out X amount of lumens. Well…this one is the real McCoy! You could easily use the low function for everything and be fine. ** BE CAREFUL WITH THE STROBE ** Even if you’re not looking directly at it, it’ll still mess with your eyes a little. The side light (I think they call it COD) is pretty handy as well. Could easily act as a road flair if needed but also good for daily use. I bought this for my car but used it when I was out in Joshua Tree camping. Really glad I had it because it was DARK! What can I say, you can probably purchase an equivalent Fenix that is fully waterproof for 10-20 times the price. I have no doubt that it would be a better and more durable product, however my experience owning this light for a month has been great. When you consider the price, spectacular. In flood light mode anything within 20 feet is as bright as daylight, I like the fact that you can focus the beam, of course as most of us already know, focusing a Cree type light all the way results in the non-uniform pattern that matches the Cree circuit. A sad experience. Got the light, used it once after charging, and then it quit. The package that I recieved looked like someone had already tried and rejected the light. I keep reminding myself to purchase expensive genuine products, And then I am fooled again by very cheap Asian products. The website makes this much worse, by offering high profit sponsored items first, and even offering them again in the margins while you are tring to find the best genuine product. products arrive, and they may be exactly as pictured, but too small in scale to use. Or, they arrive after spectacular claims, only to fail at the main task of the device. in this case, this magical device that could do so many things failed to create light. i looked through the giberish that comes with the attempt at a flashlight, in case there was some mention of another very important thing that i was not doing. but, amidst lots of warnings, there is no information about actually turning on the flashlight, or using the complicated switch. It is such a waste of time. do not purchase this. get a streamlite, or another quality brand.Read more
