This valve replaced the original water valve on a Kenmore Refrigerator. The valve was easy to install and is working perfectly. Tip: if your ice maker is not working properly and you observe build up of ice on the tray or a stuck tray, the problem is that the auto fill valve is not shutting off completely. So don’t do as I did, and replace the ice maker. To test, shut off ice maker, completely dry the ice tray, then lay some paper towels on top of the ice maker. If the towels get wet, you have proven the the water valve is leaking and needs replacement.Read more

Part is installed and working properly, however, the install was a little more complicated than “plug and play” The original unit had a deeper threaded area where the incoming water line installed. In my installation, the copper stub extended too far past the compression collar bottoming out on the fitting and preventing a tight seal. cutting and re-terminating the copper compression fitting solved the problem, but was an extra trip to the hardware store for parts.Read more

The model number on the part that was delivered did not match the model number in the ad or that I ordered. The OEM part must have been replaced with an equivalent part. In any regard, the valve works just like the old one, and after a bit of manipulation of the mounting bracket, it fits in the space perfectly. Make sure the icemaker’s water inlet tube in the back of the freezer is completely clear of ice before connecting and operating this valve, otherwise water will spray out the back of the freezer when it tries to fill.Read more

This was an exact replacement for LG refrigerator. Installed it with in 20 minutes tops and is working great. Just make sure you use Teflon tape and keep a replacement nut handy. Ours leaked but is good now.Read more

The new valve was the same as the old valve with the exception of the support that attaches to the refrigerator was different. This made it a little awkward to install and a tight fit. The valve was shipped by Seneca River Trading, they did a great job processing and shipping the order quickly. I received the item within 3 days with standard shipping.Read more
