The products (once you get the ink flowing) look fantastic and are very vibrant. However when trying to erase it simply does not. Just the white came off most of the way but there are still faded lines. There is an insert with the box that disclaims you must “prime” chalkboard before use, otherwise staining will occur with no further instructions on how to prime. After google searching how to prime a chalkboard I used a regular piece of chalk to color all over the board and then wipe it off with a towel, it still stained. 🙁 the picture shown is after 10 minutes of erasing using methods of scrubbing with wet papertowel, dry papertowel, coloring over with both a marker again and a piece of chalk then erasing. We will need to buy vinegar to see if water and vinegar will work to remove the chalk next per google instructions.Read more

These colors were vibrant and made a beautiful sign. I had initially thought I would not erase and keep this as a permanent sign. The kids had other ideas, and I knew they would end up coloring on it. After taking photos to preserve the memory, I thought I’d try and erase it. I didn’t hold out much hope as many reviewers said not to leave it on for an extended period of time. It has been on for five weeks and came off easily with four dried up alcohol wipes that were rewet with water. No prep was done to the board prior to decorating to ease the erasing as that wasn’t part of the plan. Very happy with this product. I’ve used these probably 10x in the last month to do the drink specials and they’re already running out. The colors are good, though, and they’re mostly opaque. They do tend to leave a white shadow on the clear acrylic light boards after erasing. It comes off with isopropyl alcohol and some elbow grease… Not sure why they’d do that, though.Read more

Was really excited to find these here, and the price was good. The colors are fantastic In my opinion. However, these are incredibly difficult to wipe off. I didn’t realize the instructions on the box that says that you should prime the board before using these. If you do decide to go with these definitely prime the chalkboard (whatever that means) Otherwise you’ll probably have to use a stronger agent because a wet paper towel, a wet paper towel with Dawn, and vinegar did not work. I haven’t tried alcohol yet but I will because I cannot write/draw anything because there are so many layers already on the board.Read more
