Liquid Stands Piano Keyboard Stand – Z Style Adjustable and Portable Heavy Duty Music Stand for Kids and Adults (Fits 54 – 88 Key Electric Pianos)

(10 customer reviews)

Adjustable height and width to fit most keyboards: Our universal keyboard stand is fully adjustable, allowing you to properly align your piano, DJ mixers, turntables, synths, and midi keyboards. Liquid Stands’ keyboard stand is compatible with all major keyboard brands.
Play while seated or standing: What makes the Z style electric piano stand so versatile is its ability to adjust to both the musician’s height and the piano’s width. With this stand, users will have the option to make music while standing or while sitting on a bench, seat or stool.
Weight limit of 250 pounds for the heaviest keyboards: This stand’s heavy-duty construction supports the heaviest musical instruments and gear. A Z-style stand offers more stability and is less likely to tip than common X-style stands. Great for use on stage, at home or in the studio.
Includes headphone hook and anchoring straps: Each keyboard stand includes four adjustable feet, anti-skid foam pads, and a headphone hook. Also included are two anchoring straps that attach the keyboard to the stand for extra stability and protection. Great for musicians on the road or kids just learning at home.
Easy to set up, transport, and adjust dimensions: The height of the stand adjusts between 22.5” and 33.5” (in 1.5” increments); the width adjusts between 22.5” and 33.5” (in 2” increments). Set up and break down takes less than one minute and your stand can be packed flat for transport to gigs.

As the headline says… Sturdy Stand. Easy assembly. Has leveling feet. Highly adjustable height and width. The leveling feet is an important feature in my opinion. There is no guarantee the floors you plan to use this on will be level. The other heavy duty Z stands I saw on Amazon did not have leveling feet pads. To me.. an automatic disqualification. Just think of that annoying table at the restaurant that you need to put napkins under one of the feet so your table is not rocking back and forth while you eat. Now imagine how annoying that will be if that is your keyboard rocking while trying to play it and having to stuff paper under the legs. It is heavy construction compared to the X style stands. To me that is a bonus. I don’t mind it being 3 pounds heavier and for that having a solid, stable base for the keyboard. Giving it only 4 stars, not 5, as mine arrived with a pretty sizable dent on the backside of one of the legs. It does not affect the function.. but I like ‘new’ to look new. It is not worth the bother to pack it up and send back so I will live with it… but a little annoying. Was not scratched, so not sure if it was packaged that way from the factory or happened in shipment. Purchased for a 77 key Yamaha PSR EW410 keyboard. That keyboard just arrived and it fits with no problem. Again.. the stand is highly adjustable both height and width. Hope this helps in your purch decision. If you appreciate the effort of the review… give it a thumbs up. Cheers ! +++ Update ++++ Wow.. what customer service !!! The vendor must be paying attention to reviews. Unsolicited from me (again.. I was just going to keep it and live with the dent) they contacted me and offered to replace the stand. So the stand itself is a solid 5 rating. Given the vendor support.. wish I could give them a higher rating than a 5. Go with this stand.. Save your time… No need to look further.Read more

Feels sturdy. I decided to pay the extra money for a Z frame over an X frame for our keyboard because we have young children, and I didn’t want the keyboard falling on one of them because, for example, a toddler tried to use it for support when learning to walk. It definitely feels like something that won’t fall over because a 1 year old holds onto, so I’m happy there. (In fact, while I was typing this, I caught one of my kids sitting on the frame! Obviously, I told her to sit on the bench, but the frame didn’t react under her weight, which is great.) It was easy to set up, and it has been easy to adjust the width and height to accommodate our bench. I notice on the widest setting, it doesn’t feel very stable, and the height bars get wobbly quickly. But I was able to open it wide enough to slide our 29 1/2″ duet bench under the keyboard without compromising stability. My only real disappointment is that (and this is my first time buying a keyboard frame, so maybe this is normal?) there isn’t much keeping the keyboard from falling off the top of the frame except some thin pads that arrived packaged as stickers. My preschoolers have a bad habit of leaning on the keyboard, so it tends to slide around a bit (or a lot!), and I have already caught my youngest picking at the stickers. So far, the keyboard has moved around on top of the bars, but it hasn’t fallen off. I hope it won’t. When my oldest (10yo) uses it, none of these problems are issues. My only concern is how it will hold up to the attentions preschoolers/toddlers who often have to be reminded many times before they learn to treat something with care.Read more

I purchased the Yamaha P45 piano keyboard and needed a stand to go with it. The keyboard itself sits quite high. I originally purchased the stand that was listed as the item frequently purchased with the keyboard and, while the height of it could be adjusted, it didn’t adjust low enough to comfortably play the piano. After measuring and researching, I found this product and the height can be adjusted to very comfortably play the piano, it’s perfect. The only suggestion I have is to include adhesive Velcro to attach to the base supports and underside of the keyboard for additional security. It does come with adhesive pads that attach to the base supports which helps to keep the keyboard from sliding around.Read more

It would definitely be this one. The Plixo is sturdy, well crafted, and very simple to put together … 20 min, tops. I dod a lot of “window browsing” on the internet and on Amazon in search of a perch for my new Behringer DeepMind 12 Synth, and even toyed with a dual keyboard stand since there is another M-Audio Axiom 61 Key MIDI controller; but decided on a stand for a single synth. At roughly $69, this keyboard stand was a rough one to pass up, especially with the pricy and rather awkward double X folding keyboard stands which I am sure are fine; but, to prone to tipping for my taste. After all, this is not being moved a lot since it is a hobby and not gig related gear. That does not mean that the stand is heavy … it really isn’t. The DeepMind 12 is far heavier than the stand. The stand in the end run was a perfect choice and one where my decision was based on previous owner’s experience written up on Amazon. I am sure that there are several lifetimes in store for this easily adjusted keyboard stand. Simply love it!Read more

Study, stable. Far better than the “X-frame” stands. Does not jiggle or wobble. Does not hit your knees when you are seated at the keyboard.Read more

I have owned a couple keyboard stands in the past – both were X-frame style (that fold like an “ironing board”). They were always wobbly. This stand, however, with it’s H-frame design is INCREDIBLY stable. The crossbar ensures that. You can level it to perfection at each foot adjustment knob. It extends wide enough for an 88 key keyboard to sit with no fear of it falling off the stand. This stand has a supreme quality of build. Very impressed. Light weight, but not wobbly – even at full height extension. Perfect welds at the joints. Heavy duty adjustment knobs. I have absolutely no issues with this stand. I’m 6’3” and my keyboard is at perfect height when the stand is fully extended. I have a Yamaha P-125 and this stand is a perfect fit for it. The straps work perfectly to secure the keyboard to the stand with a few turns off the thumbscrew. Great product!Read more

Read more

I’d heard and read reviews on the ‘X’ type stands, and they seem to be notorious for wobbling and a general lack of sturdiness. The last thing I wanted was a wobbly stand under my keyboard while learning to play it. This one looked good and the reviews were favourable. Delivery took a little longer than I’d hoped for, but I suspect that it was customs at the border holding it up. Gotta make sure it’s not a WMD, you know. While assembling it, I noticed 2 of the plastic collars on the tube ends were cracked. Functionality was not affected, this stand is awesome, but I didn’t think I should have to accept a brand new item with broken parts, so I contacted the seller. They were very quick getting back to me, and subsequently sent out two replacement collars right away via USPS. Two weeks later I had not received them so I contacted the seller again. Upon tracking investigation, it was determined they were lost, or stuck at the postal facility, Another set would be sent out right away. Three weeks later again, still no shipment. Contacted the seller again, and again lost by USPS. I thought the Canadian postal service was bad. The USPS takes the cake. I suggested to the seller that it might be a good idea to try an alternate method, so they shipped a third set of collars via FedEX. I am happy to report, I received the collars yesterday and have replaced the cracked ones on my stand. Very happy with this awesome stand, but what it truly awesome was the level of service the seller gave me in replacing defective parts. They went above and beyond as far as I’m concerned, especially since the broken parts were cosmetic, and had no affect on the functionality of the stand. The USPS should be ashamed of themselves.Read more

Read more

I bought this to replace an X stand that wobbled too much, hoping that with so many good reviews saying it’s sturdy, that it wouldn’t wobble when playing. However I am disappointed. It is true that this stand is very sturdy-feeling and easy to assemble, however once I put my 88-key Roland digital piano on it and played, I noticed it has some side-to-side wobble. Not a lot, mind you, perhaps no more than 1/4″, but enough to be noticeable when playing more advanced pieces. The problem, as I see it, is that this stand has only 1 horizontal bar, which gives it more wiggle room than if it had 2 bars going across. However, this design also allows it to be very compact when packed up, so it’s a tradeoff. It is very disappointing to me however as someone who prioritizes a rock solid stand. It’s a pity because I really do like the fact that it comes with a headphone hook that mounts on the underside, which I haven’t seen on other stands in the past.Read more
