Tried to use this on a pedal rated at 500ma, red light blinked on power supply, slow blink. Pedal never booted up, tried a boss adapter rated at 500ma and the pedal worked great. The power supply is rated at 850 ma, but couldn’t produce 500ma. maybe I just got a bad one, but with limited sockets on my power strip. I just switched over to this daisy chain. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D9FP8LK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3A00RPL943XFO&psc=1 Neewer Pedal Power Supply Adapter 9V DC 1A Tip Negative 5 Way Daisy Chain Cables for Effect Pedal for 2$ more, it will power at least 2 of my pedal at the same time without noise or problems. I know the Newwer Pedal power supply adapter works, i tried it out this morning.Read more

I don’t understand why when plugged into the amp it rings with static like am touching the end of audio cable with an electric current. It powers my mini amp, but does not allow me to hear the strings on the guitars because of how loud the feedback is through the amp while plugged in. Update: the seller contacted me offering a full refund and acknowledged that there are some items that are defective. They also requested I take the review down, which I wouldn’t be able to do because reviews are what make customers and consumers have an open and honest conversation about their products. I’m hoping the refund is not conditional to me removing the review, but I’ll be back to update that here as well.Read more

The basic rundown here is that you have a slender wall plug with a sideways orientation. So, take a look at the power strip it’s going into and make sure it’s a logical fit. Some power strips turn the plugs sideways or another direction to help on their own. Next, you have a very long cord. I am using this on a pedal board, so I would have preferred less excess, but to be nice they include a velcro strap to bundle the cable in the way depicted in the product image. The most vital feature that drew me to this power adapter, is the L shaped plug that goes into the unit you are powering. I use this on both a Boss bass overdrive pedal, and a Biyang reverb pedal. It was beneficial in both cases to have the L shaped plug, because these pedals put their power input on the back, causing up to an inch of wasted space using a standard strait style power adapter. Both my stomp pedals have had very little exposure to power adapters, so the power port still has a snug feel. Having the L-shaped end makes me feel very secure that these fresh power ports won’t soon become wobbly. Anyone who has had any kind of guitar pedal or small unit constantly having the power plugged and unplugged…they get wobbly fast, which eventually leads to the power cutting out. While the plug does insert with the right amount of snugness, I will just add that there is a bit of chrome exposed, when the plug is inserted. It does not insert flush to the plastic part of the plug. This is no big deal, but just something to note and expect when you are buying a power adapter that is not designed specifically for just one unit or brand. Lastly, I will say the grade of wire used is pretty thin. This does make it nicely flexible, but I am curious how it would hold up over time, after being exposed to a bit of heat, and a few yanks, like you would expect to encounter on tour (if you don’t have a pedal board, which you should totally have). Hopefully this answers every possible question you could have, except if it works on my your gear in particular, but that is just something you will have to read and confirm. It works perfectly with Boss and Biyang pedals.Read more

We live overseas where the voltage is 220V. We specifically bought this for a piece of audio recording gear and chose it because it was dual rated. We tried it in a few different plugs in the house, because it was clicking when we first plugged it in and we thought there might be poor wiring in that room. After it was plugged in for maybe a minute, it clicked a lot then tripped the breaker. We won’t be using it again. Consider a different brand if you’re using it for higher voltage.Read more

I own a Casio CTK-4000 keyboard. It requires 6 (SIX!!) D batteries to operate, but luckily also provides the option of using an AC adaptor. The AC adaptor that came with the keyboard ended up with a bent prong that would no longer fit into our outlet. As I tried to unbend it, I heard a cracking noise, and one of the prongs became loose. I no longer felt comfortable using that plug due to safety concerns. So I decided it was time to buy a replacement plug. After watching a YouTube video, I knew what to look for and came across this adaptor. It had other good reviews, it was priced very well, and it seemed like it would fit my needs. I was a bit worried the plug might not fit into my keyboard, though, as I didn’t think to measure it ahead of time. However, when it arrived, it was a perfect fit! My keyboard powers up, and I can rest easy knowing I’m not going to be blowing through 6 batteries that will probably cost me more to replace in a month than this plug cost. I also like the indicator light on the plug that lets me know when it’s on. I’m very pleased with this purchase, and my kids are happy they can bang away on the keyboard once again.Read more

These are perfect for cheap pedals and older 90’s stuff. I have three with no problems so far, just order a fourth. I own a small studio and I’m constantly going through 9v adapters so even if these work for a year it’s gonna save me a ton … I’ll just order up more! Now this being said I absolutely would not power a drum machine, synthesizer or anything larger than a pedal with these. The current draw simple is more than these can provide.Read more

Was very loose on my keyboard, I was very disappointed. It states in the description that it will fit my keyboard but it did not. However returning it was a breeze! I walked into UPS, let them scan the barcode on my email, handed the item and walked out with a receipt. About an hour later I had an Amazon gift card with my monies returned to me. I was expecting a refund to my bank but oh well. I will be using it on Amazon just not here.Read more

Bought this for a digital delay on a second pedalboard to run separate from my One Spot daisy chain running 4 dirt pedals and a reverb. It’s quiet, doesn’t introduce any hum and works as it should. Like others have said, it feels kind of light duty (cable and plug end) but it’s secured to a power bar on the board and the cable is mounted and routed properly under the board. Only had it a month, time will tell, will report back if problems arise. Bought this instead of the Planet Waves unit at the same price, since it had a fair amount of negative feedback (too bad cuz I like D’Adarrio/Planet Waves American Stage cables and strings) Not sure if I’d use it on my main live board but good for a backup and secondary light use board. Probably fine for home use though. Gave it 4 stars because it hasn’t proven itself just yet…Read more

I wasn’t sure this would work with my Boss RC300 and GT1 because I tried so many power supplies I had around including old boss adapters that had the right polarities power and specs on them but still would not power them up. Only the Boss PSA120s would work and to replace it was going to be too expensive. Well I am happy to report for others looking that this is the cheapest working replacement I could find. Cable is a little flimsy so I hope it has a long life despite it, but so far so good. I do love that the cable is long because on stage I don’t like to have a power bar near my set up. Only took one star off for cable feeling a bit flimsy but for the price 5 star so far…Read more

It was much smaller than the original item I bought to replace this, but it working just fine. It doesn’t appear to hum, and it works. It shape also means you can plug it into a power bar, without losing other items.Read more

I like almost everything about this adapter except for the power cord which is a bit thin otherwise it does the job. The red light that shows it is power on when plug in is also a plus. Delivery was on time. I recommend this product.Read more
