MAGIC CAT Solar Mole Repellent, Ultrasonic & Solar Powered Gopher Repellent, Waterproof Sonic Groundhog Repeller Rodent Gopher Deterrent Vole Chaser for Lawn, Yard & Garden of Outdoor Use (4 Pack)
$50.39
π‘ Safe & Easy to Use: Forget the harmful chemicals, poisons, and traps typically used in households, all you need to do is inserting this device into the ground by making a pilot hole and turn it on. This sonic mole repeller stakes is 100% safe because it drives away moles, voles, gophers, groundhogs and other burrowing rodents without using any chemical ways but just an unpleasant sound which is transmitted at regular intervals, which do not harm people and kids or pets like cats and dogs.
π‘ Effective & Wide Coverage: MAGIC CAT gopher ultrasonic repellent emits 3-4 seconds of low frequency pulses in every 30 seconds, which penetrate through the soil and discourage them from entering the protected area as moles are sensitive to sound and vibrations. Since burrowing rodents like moles, voles, gophers, and groundhogs are common throughout USA, it is a effective way to deter them from destroying your outdoor areas such as lawn, yard and garden. (The coverage is 40ft. in diameter.)
π‘Solar-powered Device: A solar cell in the top part charges the built-in rechargeable battery so as to ensure the durable operations day and night. The solar panel can convert sunlight into power then stored in the rechargeable battery. A installation location that can be exposed directly to the rays of the sun has to be selected for optimum using effect. Keep the solar panel clean cause a dirty panel will reduce the available sunlight for battery charging.
π‘ IP65 Waterproof Level: MAGIC CAT solar-powered mole repeller can be used outside such as lawn with a waterproof level of IP65. It can be washed by water or rain directly. You can insert the spike until the cap is flush with the ground cause it could be a tripping hazard if it is above the ground or insert the spike into the ground to prevent hitting by a lawnmower. But if there is water on the ground, please insure this unit is at least 2 inches above the ground to prevent submerge.
π‘ Energy-saving & Eco-friendly: MAGIC CAT solar rodent repellent outdoor ultrasonic is equipped with an rechargeable battery that can be fully charged with sunlight in 8 hours under strong sunlight. Buildings or other obstacles that will cast shadows on the solar panel have a negative effect on performance, unfavorable weather conditions such as clouds, rain or snow also cause loss of performance. It can be used for about 3-4 days after fully charged, which is energy-saving and eco-friendly.

UPDATE June 12, 2021: The repellents have been running in our back yard for a week. Since we started using them, we got the impression that the activity of moles has increased. Now, everything around the repellents is dug through and out by moles. They do not repel moles for sure, and might even attract them. Total scam. Returning them today. =============== I just do not get it, why does this company has to mislead the customers even in the description of the merchandise which they sell? Judge yourself: description on Amazon and specification in the manual included in the box: 1. Amazon: “MAGIC CAT gopher ultrasonic repellent emits 3-4 seconds of low frequency pulses in every 30 seconds”. Manual: “sonic pulses emitted 2 seconds in every 30 seconds”. 2. Amazon: “Wide coverage range, distance between repellents 70 ft”. Packaging box: “Effect area: diameter of 40 ft”. This means, 20 ft radius of circle where it has impact, or 40 ft or less between repellents to provide adequate coverage. Not 70 ft. This is a little frustrating. At the very least, one needs twice as many of them as one could have guessed based on description published by the seller on Amazon. Anyhow, each repellent comes with a fairly tiny solar cell (a little over 1.5″ across) able to feed 50 mA of current into a 1.2 volts, 80 mAh Ni-MH button battery which provides power to the buzzer, which is indeed specified to buzz at 400 +/- 50 Hz. The sound is audible but not loud and not disturbing even when one stands next to the repellents. For what it is worth, this combination of solar cell and battery capacity means that the battery can be fully charged in under 2 hours in direct sunlight. IP65 (waterproof) rating is confirmed in the manual. The manual is included and is written in a decent English (and it is better than average). The unit is made by Shenzhen Vission Technology Co., LTD in China. Packaged well. No assembly is required. The units themselves and the box in which they are shipped are much smaller than I thought, but I guess they do not need to be large. It will take a couple of weeks to validate if these repellents are efficient against the moles which live in my area and dig through my backyard. I will update my review at that time. Installation is very easy in soft soil, requires a small amount of digging to create a hole for the stick on which repellent sits in a harder soil.Read more

This is a very good-looking, very easy to install sonic spike which seems to the job. Since I inserted some into the ground, the gophers I am trying to get rid of have not reappeared. Apparently, the intermittent beeping sound seems to bother them enough that they want to leave. Only time will tell but I remain hopeful. I particularly like the fact that there is an on/off switch.Read more

After unboxing, all units looked fine. I let them sit in sun for half a day to charge completely. Then when I installed them in ground, all worked fine except 1. It would not even turn on. Took the bottom pole off and saw there were broken parts inside. Hopefully seller will see this and send me replacement, then I’ll update review. Update I’ll change to 3 stars, was reimbursed $10 for broken one Update 2: did not scare away groundhogs at all. Straight to trash canRead more

I live in a mobile home park infested with moles. I read the reviews. Same thing for me. I tried products like Gopher Gasser, Victor Mole Repellent and and Tomcat Killer. These products work but not permanently because the moles come back with their relatives and friends. Then I tried Magic Cat. I noticed the tunneling in our flower gardens immediately stopped after I put these things around our garden. Why waste a good thing! I ordered eight more. I now have 16 of these irritating things buzzing away in the ground which is harmony to my ears! “Knock on Wood”, looks like the moles have relocated permanently some place else. So far so good and if true I will save a boat load of money on mole repellant. About using Gopher Gasser bombs. Just for grins when I lit a couple of Gopher Gasser bombs into a mole I forced air into the mole hole using my yard blower. Wow! The smoke from the bombs came up threw the grass revealing where the mole runs were. This was so entertaining to watch I stuck a bunch more Gopher Gassers in the same mole hole. Then I saw how the smoke traveled under my neighbors drive way and came up on his side. Apparently the mole runs went went under my neighbors mobile home too. I melted the blower nozzle doing that but it was worth it for what happened next. My bad? My grumpy neighbor came out wondering why all his smoke alarms were going off!Read more

I was slow to review this product as the reviews were all written when the product was received and I never felt that there was any concrete information on how the product worked. I did not see results for the first two weeks, but slowly, it appears that the moles have left or have moved to another area of the yard. I tried poisons before and had no luck at all and it seemed that the moles only became more aggressive with their tunneling! The units have continued to work through rain storms and extreme heat and the noise is noticeable but not aggravating. I rated a four because the instructions to install are horrible and give very little guidance on where to install to get the most from the product and process of burying the stake is a bit of a mess in hard soil, I had to use a pressure washer to create the hole to place the item in the ground.Read more

I have a groundhog hole under my deck, not sure if it is still there, and chipmunks running wild – at least 5 chipmunks holes. This product is easy to put into the ground and sturdy. There is a on/off button. Once turned on, it makes a high pitch sound. So far haven’t see the chipmunks. Time will tell if they will disappeared.Read more

I have used solar critter ridders years ago for moles in my yard successfully. This year my yard is overcome with voles. These were easy to place and seemed sturdy. As soon as I turned then on, they started emitting sound that will drive the critters out of my yard. I used a long flat bladed screwdriver to make an initial pilot hole for insertion and placed them low enough to mow over, yet above ground level to avoid any pooling rainwater. I really like the style as it is much smaller than those I used years ago. These blend right in and can be mowed over eliminating having to take them up each time for mowing. Great product!Read more
