This is seriously the best flavor of instant ramen out there. I know what you’re thinking: I ate these in college. Why would I buy them now? Well.. I always ate the chicken or the beef because I didn’t even know a pork flavor existed. I saw these at Walmart a couple months ago and decided to buy a couple to keep for a cheap lunch when I’m hungover. I am so glad I did. They are the most superior flavor of the Maruchen family. It doesn’t taste like instant ramen: it has a delicious umami flavor that can be enhanced with fresh add-ons, like herbs or garlic. It has more complexity than beef or chicken. Since I do not live near a Walmart supercenter, I was so happy to find these on Amazon at a reasonable price. Now I won’t run out for a while! I know, I know.. instant ramen?! REALLY? But yes. You probably haven’t had the pleasure of trying the pork flavor and you’re really missing out. It’s a great comfort food once in a while ;)Read more

Maruchan is the best name in ramen noodles and nowhere else can you eat for about 50 cents. I have two of them for a full meal. On sale, I thus was having a good filling meal for about a buck. Maruchan noodles are soft and the spice packet, mostly soy sauce, is perfect. Some tips: heat in the microwave for about 7 minutes for one or 8 minutes for two. Heat up in the black plastic composite tubs you get with most frozen food. They are a perfect fit for the ramen noodle square and even have the water fill line (if they don’t, fill to the top of the noodles with water.) Important step: once wet, turn the noodle square over before cooking to have top and bottom wet. Cook, add the spice packet goodies, mix, and enjoy. And for the $5 to $10 you just saved, splurge on dinner…Best of all, these products are shelf stable, which means winter or summer, you can keep them in your desk for months, awaiting lunch time…Read more

I ordered a 24 pack for $26.99. It was completely my choice so I’m not using that to give a low rating or anything but it is price gouging at it’s best. lol But I love the pork flavor so I was willing to spend a good few dollars for a pack of 50 cent noodles. I got it super fast and everything looks like it went fine. 5 stars because these noodles are the shiiiiiiiiiiii. Cut up and fry some pork belly and throw that in with some green onions. Honestly the best ramen you’ll ever eat.Read more

Great googly moogly. This stuff is made of unicorn tears and rainbows. I had just put on a pot to heat up some water for some maruchan chicken ramen (I mean, it’s okay. Oritental is also dang good) and I had checked my orders on Amazon. It said my pork ramen was delivered today! So I made a trek to my mailbox (I live in the boonies) and it was well worth it. 5 mins later, I am scalding my mouth trying to eat this mana. It’s amazing. And my new favorite flavor. Needless to say, don’t listen to any doubts. I have no ragrats.Read more

I received old worn out packages of noodles with holes in it, like the package was not properly stored or taken care of. It definitely doesn’t seem edible and it’s not eligible for return.Read more

Pork Ramen is arguably the Holy Grail of Ramen. For reasons that will confound scholars for centuries to come, you cannot find pork flavor in the store. When I found out pork flavor was available through, I felt much like Tom Hank’s wife must have felt in Castaway when she found out he was still alive. I was thrilled, I was happy to see Pork Ramen, but I had moved on…I had let it go. It arrived in my building lobby, a simple cardboard box full of throwback happiness. I nailed the noodles-to-water ratio on the first try and had a bowl with an icy cold Mountain Dew. It was like being magically transported back to college and for a moment, if I closed my eyes, I felt almost as though I were sitting in my dorm room in the shadow of a loft bed, playing Starcraft online…and in that moment…I was made whole.Read more

Ramen is a lunch I have a few times a week and Maruchan is a familiar brand to me. I figure Pork would be a good flavor to buy and I have to buy most on Amazon, so nice to find different flavors here. This is a tasty flavor. The flavor can be a bit light, but if you add less water than the package says, its more flavorful. It was a nice, salty, pork taste. I like to add things to make the soup more filling, like meat, eggs and veggies. I added some leftover pork tenderloin, an egg and broccoli slaw mix to the soup this time. The cooked pork enhanced the flavor of the soup and made it a more satisfying meal. Adding things makes it a bigger meal. Ramen by itself is not healthy, but it’s an easy and tasty lunch. I recommend slightly less water than directed( the package indicates to add 2 cups, I use about 1 1/2 cups or even 1 1/4) and whatever additions you like. The package arrived quickly and in good condition. Would order again and recommend the product to others.Read more
