This toilet seat is a great idea for households with small kids (and small bathrooms)! I love the built-in child-sized toilet seat, as it makes it so we don’t need a separate potty chair for little ones. The shape of both seats makes them comfortable for adults and children to sit on. The soft-close feature of the seats/lid is very slow, but it’s a nice feature (it prevents a lot of toilet seat slamming). The only thing I dislike about this seat, is that it is smaller on the toilet bowl than my previous seat. This makes the seat not as comfortable for larger adults (it doesn’t look as good as my old seat, as it doesn’t cover the entire bowl). Since I’ve had these seats on all my toilets, I have had several friends with small children ask about and purchase them also! Overall, I recommend this product. It is a good quality seat, especially when compared to the other seats of this type that are available. Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!Read more

Had this seat for 2 years and it was great because our house is small and the integrated potty seat is so convenient. After one year, every time my daughter pulled down the toddler seat, the whole thing would completely come off and I had to run in to help snap it back on. Finally, another year later – we NEED A replacement!! After trying three similar seats, I decided to go with this one again for the following reasons: 1st one had a tight fit no problems, it was also sturdy but not super thick like some others (easthetics), and the slow close lid! HOWEVER, once installing the new seat, I quickly realized the hardware is different and no matter how much we tighten it the seat still moves around significantly. Very dissapointing. Ended up going with another option that is NOT slow close but has very heavy duty, full chrome hardware …and it is a great tight fit! Also, the toddler seat is MUCH more secure – it will never pull off as with this one. In fact, of all the one’s we tried… This seat had the worst toddler seat in terms of attachment to the regular seat. It was a decent seat for a short time. Second time around, not at all! It’s definitely not worth the money!Read more

The seat seemed great until purple discoloration appeared on the seat after cleaning. First it happened with Lysol spray, and then it happened again with Clorox wipes. I reread the product description on Amazon and saw they recommend using mild soap and water to clean it. Who has time to prepare a mild soap and water solution just to clean a toilet seat?? When I pay over $40 for a toilet seat, I don’t expect common household cleaning products to discolor it! I have successfully use Lysol and Clorox products on toilet seats (and countless other surfaces) for years, and this is the first time I’ve had a problem. I am very disappointed in this product and wish I had just purchased the Bemis brand seat we have on our other toilet. The discoloration is difficult to see in the photo, so I circled the area where it is most prominent. For reference, the seat I purchased was listed as: MAYFAIR 188SLOW 000 NextStep2 Toilet Seat with Built-In Potty Training Seat, Slow-Close, Removable that will Never Loosen, ELONGATED, White.Read more

**FINAL THOUGHTS AT BOTTOM** We REALLY wanted to love this and I feel like it is on the road to being great but needs a few things addressed and we would have loved to know not just what we were gaining but also and maybe equally important, what we had to sacrifice. The Bad (for kids): The magnet latch system while creative is hazardous and counter intuitive. This seat is not built with adults in mind (more on that soon) and is likely only something you are purchasing for the singular purpose of weening the littlest version of yourself off the diaper and onto an easier and more enjoyable go. Therein lies the rub, as the rugrat seat is NOT soft closing and is ALWAYS attached to the lid (assuming you use the lid). The magnet is strong, toddlers much less so and it takes a good bit of effort to pull down the kiddy portion and to hold it and manually set it down whilst not slamming it or smashing digits. SHOCKINGLY this mag seat has led to smashed fingers, banged heads and arms and an overwhelming apprehension and fear for the potty. He won’t use the toilet unless “his” seat is already down and that is completely not the direction we intended to go. The Bad (for adults): I want to meet the engineer who designed this and know if they used it, because it is uncomfortable bordering on painful to sit on the adult seat. Perhaps if you don’t use a toilet stool or have a strong pain tolerance then this could be a non-issue. If however, you have family coming for a stay, just be prepared to give up your private commode. Both seats are flat (so that they fit nice and tidy) but we DEFINITELY would have opted for thicker profile with an ergonomic design. The good: -Install was easy breezy but the design of the lid (like most) has limited positioning capability so it could be challenging if you don’t have a standard toilet. -The materials they use are sturdy, soft close works like it should and color is spot on -The child seat is perfect, IF your kids aren’t too big. Our 3t kiddo that is 4t tall with a 3t thin waste fits just right. I see it more of a potty training seat that will need to be upgraded as he grows…which can’t come soon enough. **FINAL THOUGHTS – AFTER WEEKS OF USE** I removed the toilet lid, which although not an elegant solution, was most certainly a practical one and that solved a bit of the problems. We’ve had a bit of fun letting guests use the toilet and have found it really speeds up their process, followed by complaints of numbed legs, and bruised tushies. This too shall pass and we look forward to a day where both our wee ones can sit on an adult seat, or next evolution of child ones.Read more

It could be amazing. This is our second one, because the first was so cheaply made it scratched, didn’t clean well, and the attachments broke after a year. They don’t quite fit right. And it’s not just our toilet, a few kid’s shops and play places where we live use them and have different toilets with the same problem. For the cost I expect much better quality.Read more

I had to rig the install a bit because the seat kept sliding no matter how tight I screwed the bolts. Excellent quality, heavy duty materials, great magnetic feature for the potty. Easy to install- overall excellent product. Potty seat stays up when lifting and putting down whole seat for men, easy for 2yr old toddler to put down potty seat. We love it.Read more

We just installed this today and love it! It was easy to install and feels much more heavy-duty compared to some of the cheap toilet seats we looked at in our local stores. Our 2-year-old is potty training and has now declared she only wants to use the “big potty” instead of her little potty chair (yay, less cleaning!). The potty part sticks to the lid with a strong magnet and is not slow close (but the lid and main seat which are heavy are slow close…no more slamming!) but when you close the lid it sticks back in place which is great. I love that the potty seat part is removable when we no longer need it or need to do a deeper clean. Highly recommend!Read more

After purchasing countless potty seats after potty seats we decided to screw all that and get this toilet seat. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. – My oldest kid loves it because no more sitting on “baby” potty seats – Adults can simply lift up the kid seat part and there is a magnet that keeps it secure. My kid has no problem putting the seat back due to soft close feature. – Minimal and discreet way of having potty seats. – The toilet seat is made of solid, durable material. No cheap thin plastic here. Your bum will be happy. Everyone’s bum will be happy!!Read more

Very pleased with the quality and function. Our 3 yr old and 6 year old easily pull down their seat and get on with no sliding. Inner seat magnets to lid and stays out of the way. The plastic is heavier and more durable. We would buy this again.Read more

Fantastic seat! Super easy to install, quick release to clean easy, without unscrewing. The small seat can be removed easily when training is done. My son loves it, he has his own “big boy” seat. He helped install it and loves to use it. I recommend this to anyone that is toilet training. The portable seats don’t fit snug and slip and wobble and it makes some little ones nervous, not an issue since we bought this seat.Read more
