As a streamer, this thing is invaluable. I have never been a fan of seeing all these people talk into their mics with these awkward pop filters clamped onto their mic stands. Sure, if you’re a vocalist who SINGS into the mic, I can see the need for something like that….but for the rest of us, you don’t need that goofy looking thing. Sure, I guess to some people it makes your mic setup look “studio quality” but let’s face it, it’s not needed. This cheap little foam cover does everything that pop filter can do and just slides over the mesh on your YETI mic. 10 seconds to install and you’re done FOREVER. No adjusting it or moving it around like pop filters, just set it and forget it. This is coming from someone who bought a fancy pop filter for their last mic and got tired of dealing with it. When I got my YETI a few months ago, I wanted to test this thing out and it worked like a charm. Never again will I mess with a pop filter when you can just put a foam windscreen on. Another thing that people fail to realize with pop filters, is they only protect your mic from wind in ONE DIRECTION. Depending on where you record/stream at, weather and stuff, where your AC vents are, and even ceiling fans…those can mess up a mic with pop filters. Ceiling fans blow air down or pull it up, pop filter can’t block that. AC vents blowing down damn sure pick up extra wind sound. How do you avoid that? Get this windscreen! It blocks wind and air from EVERY direction and I’ve tested it with box fans in the room to see if it could.Read more

I bought this product in 2018 for my Blue Yeti microphone and was pleased with it. I’ve bought some new Rode Podmics lately that are a larger size than your typical mics that don’t really require a windscreen on them, but I like the look and feel of the windscreen, so I took the windscreen that I bought from this seller in 2018 and put it on one of my Podmics, which fit nicely, so I figured that I would reorder the same windscreen from this seller so they would match on my new mics. I’m sorry to say that they do not match. I’ve included pics of the old 2018 windscreen and the new 2020 windscreen that I just ordered and got in the mail. The only resemblance between the two is the fabric they were made from and the color. The new 2020 model is much smaller and about one inch shorter than the 2018 model. For now, I’m just going to put the new one on my mic so that my guest mic will be covered completely with my older windscreen so that it looks as professional as I’d hoped it would have. Needless to say, I’m not happy with this purchase at all. I made sure to reorder from the same seller as before so that I would get the same product that I was happy with, but apparently they must have cut some corners for production costs when manufacturing these. Either that, or the seller has a new distributor and it’s not the same item manufacturer that I purchased from in 2018. I know that it doesn’t seem like such a big deal, but for what it is, $6.99 is actually rather expensive for this product, seeing how I could buy this from another seller for 1/3 the price. I figured that I would give this seller my business again since I was satisfied previously, but I can’t recommend this item any longer, at least not in it’s current form. :(Read more

listen to the bad reviews.. it is NOT worth it!. my came in a air vacuumed bag that messed up the product. the foam is super thin and not cut even. the only part that was remotely thick was the very tip on the top which doesn’t help with a yeti… this is the first review I have ever made and I have to say im not happy with the purchase.. they might as well just stick the thing in a plastic baggy and slap the sticker on it, then ship to me.. the packaging could be amazons fault, im not entirely sure. Now I’m not a “professional” who knows what a high quality pop filter looks like. This is the first time I have ever bought one and I’m just getting started with getting into video editing and recording, so I would imagine if you were looking for high quality, my opinion might not be the best one… But, that being said, what I got in the mail was fairly strait forward. No rips or tears or anything. I wouldn’t know what a high quality pop filter would feel like but this feels fine to me. It fit my blue yeti just fine and for what I need it for, it does the trick. For the price, this is totally fine, and my audio sounds great to me. I might want to get something better at a later date when I actually know more specifically what I am looking for, but if your someone like me who is just trying to get started I don’t see why this wouldn’t work for you.Read more

I don’t know wether it’s amazon or the company who makes this, but they package it by creasing it and putting it in a bag. Don’t really know why they would do this, other than to cut costs (?). But for the time being when I had a blue yeti (sold it and got a new actually good microphone), It looked fine and hid some grille dents I had on my yeti from it falling off the cheap boom arm I bought for it.Read more

Item works great, Will keep your microphone clean. Doesn’t slip or move once on the Blue Yeti microphone. Takes away a lot of harsh noises such as: Mouth noises, Breathing, High pitched syllables and background noises. Also this product makes editing the sound easier as it takes away a lot of the problem noises you’ll get without having this item. I was directed to this mic cover for my blue yeti, I stream video games regularly and to improve my microphone quality I bought this product. It fits the blue yeti but it’s quite a tight fit and doesn’t always cover the whole of the top of the microphone and I find it sometimes slips upwards leaving the bottom of the microphone exposed. My microphone cover also came creased/folded meaning there’s a sort of dent imprinted on it due to it Being folded in a certain way it is unlikely that it will go back to normal. This fits perfectly on my Blue Yeti microphone. I use a pop filter too, but wanted the extra screening with this, as the Blue Yeti can pick up sounds that you can’t even hear yourself. I haven’t tried using this alone, but it seems to help alongside my pop filter.Read more
