I needed many safety pins for a (hopefully) one time replacement of a long zipper in my fox costume to position the zipper for (hand) sewing. I used the next-to-smallest size in this kit for this purpose. This is the first time in over half a century of life that I’ve experienced bending a safety pin like a pretzel when placing it. (photo 1) I also discovered a number of pins of that size unsuitable for use “out of the box”. (photo 2) The fact that these pins deform so easily attests to the metal’s lack of spring and excessive ductility. I can’t speak to the quality of any but the second-to-smallest size in this kit but would not expect a significant difference in other sizes. For relatively few uses and in lightweight material these pins should be just fine. Next time when buying safety pins I’ll be seeking quality not quantity though. No issues with my order – just wanted to share that the sizes are larger than I expected. I suppose I thought they went from XS – L but they actually go from M – XXL if that makes any sense. Photo with my hand for size reference.Read more

Bought these to close that embarrassing button gap at the bust that happens with some blouses no matter how perfect the fit. Every. Single. One…of these pins that I tried has barbs or a rough, pitted surface at the point that snags the fabric, or can’t even be pushed through the material (see pics). I damaged a chiffon blouse trying to get just one to pass through smoothly, snagged another, and bent two more pins trying to push them through a lightweight cotton shirt. These may have their uses, but for almost any application a pin needs to actually pierce and smoothly pass through whatever you’re pinning. As pictured, the rough point is present in all the different sizes. Can’t recommend.Read more

I like the amount of pins you get and the way they have them organized by size. Why only 3 stars? because they bend very easily. I am hanging clothes for my daughter that we sell at consignment, and they have to get thru jeans and these bend each time. i wouldn’t buy them again.Read more

Disappointed. Decided to spend the extra money on these because it looked like they were separated and the packaging could be re-opened and closed. But when I recieved it, I realized that it’s not a container that can be opened and closed. So really defeats the purpose of them being separated. Once opened, pretty sure I’d have to move to another sealed container. For this reason, I will be returning.Read more

These are safety pins – they open, they close, they’re sharp. They are well manufactured and variety of sizes are included. I didn’t count them, but I have to assume all 300 are there. There was only one in the pack that was defective – no closure portion connected to the pin part – but I think that’s a very acceptable ratio. The packaging is secure, but not exactly convenient. It’s two separate pieces stapled together. Once you open the package, it can’t be closed again unless you add some tape or something. I transferred mine to a separate container so they wouldn’t go all over. BUT… there was no claim of a re-closable package, so this shouldn’t be an expectation of the buyer. Just a caution and an opportunity for improvement. Buy with confidence.Read more

I haven’t had to purchase safety pens in a long time, there was always one in a drawer somewhere if I searched hard enough until there wasn’t. I like these because the case is compact and keeps the pens separated. They are also sturdy and just the right amount of variety of pens. You can turn the case upside down and the pens remain contained.Read more

I bought these pins for pin basting a quilt. They were very hard to work with! The smallest 2 sizes were so flimsy that they just bent. With the 3rd size, I was able to use somewhat…about 1 out of every 3 was so dull, they wouldn’t even go thru the top layer of cotton fabric. Some of them were rough tipped so that they snagged the material. I am very disappointed and would have left no stars if that were an option.Read more

Small businesses are based on large dreams, says the Thank You note. Cannot but agree. Pricey , but good quality and quantity. I still wish I could go to the street side vendor and buy an assortment for five rupees (though not in this much quantity). Safety pins are always needed, especially when you can’t find them! This big boxful of them will do well to end that frustration for a long time.Read more

– Instead of compartment it came in bulk, we have to sit and separate – there are no 6 varieties as called out, I could find only 4 – they have given rusted ones too Overall disappointed with the productRead more
