My mini dachshund had a terrible itchiness all over her little body. It was so bad that she lost some of her fur. I took her to the vet and they gave her meds that ended the itchiness, but after the meds were gone, she started itching again. This is the second product I’ve tried, and I’m so glad I did. When I see her scratching, I apply the product to the itchy spot, rub it in well and make sure it gets through her fur and onto her skin. Go against the grain of the fur to make sure it reaches the skin. It stops the itch almost immediately. Her fur has grown back and she and I are much happier. I’d definitely recommend this product. I also recommend that you get the one that’s in the round tin. You’ll get much more for your money. I got the one in the tin that also came with the kind that looks like a chapstick. My dog chews all the hair off his butt. I put this on and his hair has grown back. He hates it though. I’m not sure if it’s soothing the itch or if he hates the smell/taste of it. He runs if he see me pick it up. Either way, he is not half as ugly as he use to be
