Game truly implements favored elements from past games of the NFS Franchise. The atmosphere gives off the Underground2/Carbon vibe, with aggressive police hunting you at night far superior from Payback and NFS 2015. Car variety is vast and will suit everyone. Customization is in depth with various body kits, featuring a dark story mode that returns to its roots of police vs street racing. The gameplay provides a sense of speed again as it did in Most Wanted ‘05, and AllDrive is a blast to play with friends. This is the masterpiece product of Most Wanted ‘05 + Prostreet + Underground 2.Read more

The pinnacle of racing games was midnight club dub edition.. There were more options to customize in 2005 than there are nearly 15 years later. It’s embarrassing. This NFS game is just like the past 2 or 3 in the franchise. Nothing special. Graphics are pretty good, that’s the only upside. It’s like buying the same madden game over and over with nothing new being in the game (not a coincidence that EA is involved in both games lol). The music is downright TERRIBLE. Almost every song on this game is spanish. You can’t even pick what songs you want to be played, you just have to skip them one by one. Since almost all of them are in spanish, it’s not worth skipping every song just to play the few that aren’t. Overall, it’s embarrassing how a game in 2005 is so much better than a game in 2019 backed by EA. Wait until it’s on sale if you’re going to get itRead more

Firstly I’ve been a fan of the NFS series for years now and it’s been pretty disappointing the past few games. Heat finally feels like the game we’ve been asking for. Graphics look super crisp and HDR adds extra depth and better highlights. Tbh night looks a tad bit better, but dusk/Dawn during the day looks really pretty. You have more customization option in how your car looks, sounds, and how it drives. The driving takes a little getting used to and after fine tuning a bit my cars drive exactly how I want. They have gotten rid of speedcards so you can just buy new parts as you unlock them. Cops are back in free roam and honestly they aren’t to hard to escape. The story isn’t anything special but no one is buying a NFS game for that. All in all if you’re a fan go ahead and buy this game. I believe it’s the best NFS out of the current gen games.Read more

I understand a new game will have glitches, but to glitch when buying your first part for your first car in the story mode? Garbage. Also the handling of the cars is laughable. Pretty sad how the best NFS game that will have ever been on the PS4 was the 2015 edition.Read more

I read tons of reviews before I purchased. I honestly think what people fail to remember is this is not a hardcore racing game or simulator. It’s simply entertainment. I’ve owned a few Need for Speed games over the years and have enjoyed them all. Same lgoes for this one!Read more

I haven’t played a racing game since Midnight Club 3, which was the PS2 days. But after watching the gameplay for this, I decided to get this game and was glad I did. It reminds me of Midnight Club, with its nighttime visuals and music in the background. The only thing its lacks is more traffic, more things to do, and being a car game, it can be repetitive at times. I’m more likely to play this game until the end of the year and trade it in after beating the story line and getting bored playing the same races.Read more

Need For Speed has finally redeemed itself for this generation. While I preferred the racing/gameplay in Most Wanted and Rivals, Heat is a step in the right direction– from the self titled release (2015) & the abysmal Payback (2017) . There’s enough story here, but not too much thank goodness. This is an arcade racer that’s fun to play, and addicting to get into. Heat makes a gameplay twist in by dividing the racing between a Day & Night cycle. During the Day you compete in sanctioned street races to earn cash money. During the Night you race against your competition to earn Reputation (and Heat level against cops). Reputation is needed in order to purchase parts to further develop your ride, and then you’re able to spend the cash you earned during the Day race events. It’s a different approach, but I think it works & it keeps the game from getting stale. EA seems to have put NFS back on track (pun intended) with this title, and there are no micro-transactions or loot boxes to hinder progress this time around. This is a game worth picking up and having some fun, especially with friends online in a crew. EA has finally gotten their head out of the proverbial sand, and has given us a worthy NFS title to finally enjoy. Two thumbs up!Read more

I knew I would love this game from the moment gameplay arrived this year. I love the old school feel, from the huge car selection, to the vast open beautiful world in the day time, to the night underground type racing. Cops are back and better than ever! People complain about how they can’t escape them, but complained in 2015 about cops being too easy and now they’re on a most wanted level. You cannot be dumb and try to outrun them in a slow car, you need to wait until around Rep 25-30 to go into Heat 4-5 to escape safely. I love the tension while driving at high speed at night in H5 with an alert saying” Rhino Incoming” or seeing a group of Corvettes behind me trying to ram my car. Recently, I bought a ford raptor and tuned it up to make it into a cop smasher, and got my Subaru wrx sti off road to bring the cops in the mountains and have fun with them. Game is a blast to play, the music in the daytime is fun to listen to, but night time music is where its at. Definitely get this game if you like intense cop chases, and fast cars.Read more

The game is great but way too short for the price. It took me only a week to complete the story by only playing after work after that it’s just grinding if you want to finish it at 100%.Read more

Simply put, best NFS of the decade. Check the reviews on Youtube. I’m a huge fan of Most Wanted (2005) and the Underground games, and this one really hits the spot. Nice customisation options, good story mode and immersive police chases. Oh, and for the ones wondering how you’re supposed to end up a police chase, have you ever tried to use jumps?Read more
