I have had my Noco for over a year and finally had to use it today. My model of car is notorious for being a battery-drainer and I knew there would come a day I needed it. It is Christmas Eve and today was the day that I found a dead battery (of course, on a day I am not about to go get a new battery) but it was exactly zero problem because this Noco had me up and running in mere seconds with an instant start! It holds a charge a long, LONG time and I have only freshened up the charge every 4 months or so, whether it needed it or not since I hadn’t used it. Even before I needed it I was impressed enough to give one to each of my adult daughters this Christmas and now I have 100% confidence that if they are ever stuck they can get going immediately! No more stringing jumper cables between stranger’s cars on a dark night, no trying to remember the order of connection between cars, no fear of just getting out there and doing it themselves. Everyone should have one of these in their emergency roadside kit!Read more

Had high hopes. I had the unit for a few months and kept the battery charged then it hit, dead battery..I tried to jump my Silverado for it’s first use hooked it up I hit the key and nothing! I let the unit charge the battery for a few and still nothing! I checked the Noco unit and it’s indicating that the battery on the Noco is dead! I didn’t even get an attempt to start from my truck and the Noco boost is dead. After a quick jump from another car I got back on the road took the Noco unit home and tried to charge it. 2 days of being plugged in the unit is still showing less than 25% battery it refuses to charge. I’ve determined it’s not reliable enough at this point to try a replacement. I would highly suggest you look up this unit on YouTube as there are several videos showing issues with this product.Read more

Drained the battery on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner (4 liter V6) from listening to the radio, to the point it wouldn’t start but windows and radio still worked. Thought it was a good chance to try the jump pack. Hook it up, fully charged, and all LED’s indicate it was ready to go. Didn’t do a thing, was basically no different than not having it hooked up. Fortunately found this out shortly after receiving it, so it’s going back. Disappointed but not entirely surprised.Read more

One of the Top 10 greatest vehicle gadgets I’ve ever purchased for any car or truck I’ve owned. A must have especially for roadtrips and or if you have an older battery. Bought this for our 4th Gen Toyota 4Runner. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to use this for six months every time we started the truck as the battery we wanted wasn’t available. Kept the NOCO charged properly and it never failed. DRIVING TIP. buy one of these for a long road trip. Also, buy one for everyone you care about that drives, especially if they drive at night or when the clocks change and it gets dark earlier in the evening, late afternoon. You won’t have to worry their car battery died and they’re sitting in a parking lot or side of the road. It’s also great for an emergency charge of your phone or other mobile device. It also has a nice bright LED lite and LED flasher. However, I’d recommend NOT getting into the habit of using it for your mobile devices as you might just need it one day to jump start your car and might not have recharged it in a whlle. Buy another type of extra battery charge for your mobile and entertainment devices. Use this just for emergencies. They have small amp models and larger ones too. With this type of emergency device, bigger is better. Get at least the 1000 amp, I’d love to test out the other products NOCO makes. This one is spot on perfect.Read more

I bought this unit September of 2017. It failed just outside the return period from Amazon. I connected this unit to jump my car and heard several unusual clicks followed by a very bad smell. The unit was hot and left it alone until it cooled down. Based on all the glowing reviews I’m surprised this unit failed so soon (2 months in on the 12 month warranty). I contacted the manufacturer. They told me to send it back to the retailer instead. I contacted them a second time where I was told to ship it to them with proof of purchase (not a big deal). The manufacturer currently has the defective unit. I’m hoping to get a solid replacement unit like everyone else and at least get my shipping cost back as its under warranty. Not to mention other manufacturers would send a pre paid shipping label for warranty exchanges at no cost to the customer. I’ll update this review once I see what the manufacturer does.Read more

So far this is an awesome find. 7,000 joules and 1,000 amps. Heavy duty clamps. The cords are short but the unit is so small and lightweight that I could put it right near the battery jump hookups. My 5.3L V8 had a very dead battery. Nothing would light up on the dash. There was not even a hint of the engine trying to start when I turned the key. The NOCO initially would not work but then I read the instructions which said that for safety concerns it looked for at least 2V or it would not engage. I used their manual override and then the car started right away. The battery was so dead that I had to hold an elevated engine idle for a while. This shows how dead the battery was, but the NOCO did the job. Very impressive. It only weighs 2.6 pounds which is about one-tenth the weight of equivalent battery jumpers.Read more

My Ford Focus 1.6 MK3’s battery was completely flat during the covid-19 lockdown as I didn’t drive anywhere for a few weeks. The battery was so flat my car couldn’t be unlocked using the key fob. I followed the instructions of the NOCO GB40 by charging it fully first before connecting it to my car. On the press of the power button once connected with the leads to my car battery I could hear some clicking noise while the power LEDs were lighting up. I tried my car 10 seconds later and it started it first time. I don’t normally write reviews but thought I’d give some feedback in case anyone has doubts if it works.Read more

I ordered this to jump start my BMW 2.0l – not a large car. First of all, it took ages to charge using the USB cable – mostly because the cable was defective and kept turning the unit off. Once the green light was lit, the unit was attached to the battery but the ignition only clicked, and it completely failed to start the car. The boost button didn’t work either. This particular unit is defective or, as other reviewers have said, the GB40 is under-powered and just not up to the job of starting an average car battery. I tried it several times – but it just doesn’t work. In the need I borrowed a neighbour’s jump starter (to get the car to the garage) and it started the engine within 2 seconds, first time. So, my conclusion is that this NICO jump starter is not fit for purpose. It left me stranded. Also the USB charger is rubbish. It needs a proper wall charger. Also the USB cable is flimsy and the starter cables are short. Although this would not have been a problem for me. The main problem is that, after waiting for this charger to arrive in eager anticipation (having read so many positive reviews) it didn’t work, and is a massive disappointment. Therefore, sadly, I cannot recommend it.Read more

I work as a mechanic in the engine department at bus shop. so, I am always dealing with dead batteries. I bought this primarily for home use but, I took it to work to give it the ultimate test. I had a bus that I had cranked the batteries pretty much flat on and I hooked it up to try it out. this thing blew me away. this bus has 3 large 12v batteries and a 6.7 litre diesel engine. it gave me 2 5-6 second cranks on an engine that I had just put in and was just priming up for the first time..i would say the 1000 amps is pretty accurate. it was down to 50% after that. start your car No problem.my boss was so impressed he bought the 4000amp model for the shop. takes some time to charge just uses usb . slow charge is always best, works like a deep cycle. the clamps and cables are heavy duty to handle the load.

The media could not be loaded. Kept in car fully charged, first time used it went bang and blew up, had to kick it off the car, only used on a citroen berlingo, unbelievable for the price of it

Positive: Bringt ein 12 USB Lader mit. Sieht gut aus. Hat vernünftige Klemmen für die Autobatterie. Eingebaute LED Leucht. Read more

Very good buy. the only thing I can’t say at this time is how well it holds it’s charge over time, only had it 3 weeks.Read more
