Size and configuration of your stove and the size of your pots determines if this works for you. I have a six burner gas stove with a griddle in the middle that sits above the counter top . This was too small for the large frying pans I use. It was not tall enough (I thinkk the photos in the ad distort the size of the product relative to the pan. In the ad you don’t know if it is a 10″ fry pan or a 6″. As you see in the photos, if I placed in level on the stove it was very close to the pan. If I widened it up then it would be tilted part on and part of the lip of the stove which made it unstable. If you had an induction or radiant heat range with a flat glass then it would sit flat and stable and might be a good choice for you. As an alternative I have usedSurface Saver Tempered Glass Cutting Board, 20 X 16-Inch, Clear permanently to protect my backsplash. They come with lovely patterns too. I have also used thin cookie sheets propped up on the side to defer splatter. YOu also have to remember that this will need to go get clean and handwashing is recommended, no diswasher. So, this was too small, too constricted for my stove and frypans and required handwashing. I think it might work well on glass top stoves.Read more

Just for clarification- all those most popular reviews for this product that are listed that complain about sharp edges are many years old- the product that is currently sold has rounded edges- see attached photos. This product works pretty well, feels a little flimsy but it is lightweight and gets the job done. For the price ~$7 you can’t complain. The only suggestion I would want is for it to be a little taller since some oil droplets can still make it over the edges when searing/frying.Read more

This was a minor add on when purchasing a temporary cooking surface during kitchen renovations. It was inexpensive so I thought “why not?”. It’s been such a useful tool. The temporary kitchen is in our dining room on a large table. This splatter guard has been worth even the small cost – protected not just the surface around it but helped serve as divider. I like things tidy especially when living in chaos.Read more

This is my new favorite kitchen “gadget”. I loved it so much, I bought a second one. I bought it for the purpose intended…..to wrap around pans while cooking so that grease splatter does not travel to walls, counter tops, other burners and so on. I also use it outside on my stainless table when I am cooking outside. It protects the siding of my house from any splatter. The product is nonstick, as advertised, and hinged. It is flexible, so I can adjust it as needed around my pan or griddle. It stands well around cookware, just as the picture displays. Clean up is a breeze with the nonstick coating. It lays flat when not in use. This is the nice feature of the hinged design. I don’t worry about grease getting through the hinged area. It is pretty tight. Of course it is all metal, so I don’t worry about it getting hot being close to the cookware. My home stays much cleaner thanks to this handy splatter guard! Love it!Read more

flimsy and small than I excepted. I would go to dollar store buy a foil pan and fold the shape as this one, you will get the same results and save money.Read more

Nice idea that MAY work if you have the right stove-top set-up. My stove – a 5-burner Gas Stove Top. The Norpro 3-Sided Splatter Guard helped a little bit when I fried things but my other burners got in the way. Still, there WAS less clean-up afterwards. And that’s the main aim, right? It is dishwasher-safe and that’s convenient. Handwashing it is easy, too. It DOES GET HOT if placed too near the frying pan so be careful with that. If you have a flat induction cook top, this may work even better for you. By the way, this gizmo dents easily so store it carefully if these things matter greatly to you, even at this modest price point. I’m glad I bought this. It’s useful enough and I use it now & again. Simply HAD to try it and see if it worked. It sort of DOES if used just right. Thank you for taking the time to read this review – I appreciate it!Read more

Two dents one on the front panel and another in another place on the back panel. Packaging fine. So disappointed. Now: report > print return label > repack > drive to lockers > put back in locker. All that return work and no compensation and it’s not my fault. Quality of Amazon needs to Improve.Read more
