I was surprised at how pleasant the scent was, and truth be told – it actually works! The mosquitoes love me, like literally LOVE me and this spray kept them at bay. 5 stars will buy again!!Read more

I’ve used this product before, but ordering from here the liquid comes out opaque milky white in big drops, so it doesn’t disperse and it clogs the spray nozzle. I contacted the company that manufactures this product, and it should not be like this. Highly disappointed as I loved this product, but obviously these batches being shipped are highly inferior and possibly tampered with since there is no safety seal.Read more

While it works OK, the pump tends to get harder to use as the bottle gets used. Also, the spray covers a small area, so it takes multiple sprays to cover the area (your legs, for example). This product: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N9J3P7K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 works much better! There’s no pump, & the spray comes out much-more powerfully, covering the same area as this one with fewer sprays. Recommended ONLY AS A BACK-UP to the one listed above! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!Read more

Worked like a charm! Visited a humid country with plenty of mosquitoes while pregnant and trying to avoid Zika. I sprayed liberally throughout the day because of reviews mentioning it wears off easily and didn’t get a single bite the whole 10 days I was there! Also, truly scentless, which was a beautiful blessing to my currently extra-sensitive nose and gag reflex.Read more

Pros: small bottle is great for traveling, love that it is chemical free, love that there is no strong odor Cons: does not repel ticks, my bottle did not spray…it just leaks the repellent and I have to rub it on and it makes a mess!! Overall I really wanted to love this product but will probably give something else a tryRead more

Let’s be real with this review: bug sprays without DEET or picaridin aren’t as effective or as long lasting as those with DEET or picaridin. This is a fact. On to this bug spray. The active ingredient in this spray is p-Menthane-3, 8-diol (also called PMD). PMD is found in eucalyptus oil in small quantities, hence the botanicals name. However, the bottle (and this page) clearly state that the compound has been derived from other sources (pine oil); this does not change the effectiveness. Pros: – Repels mosquitos decently well for up to 2 hours after being applied to the skin – Will not dissolve your clothes/shoes/plastics like DEET – Safer for aquatic animals/creatures than DEET (and probably picaridin) – No strong smell (it does have a slight rubbing alcohol scent that goes away as soon as it dries) – Dries quickly – No greasy/sticky residue Cons: – Does not work nearly as well as a DEET or picaridin based bug spray – Not suitable for deep woods/back country – Last a very short period of time (it is pretty ineffective at the 2 hour mark) – Pump spray applicator does apply as evening as an aerosol applicator – Only 10% PMD, which is fairly low. Repel Lemon Eucalyptus insect repellent is 30% lemon eucalyptus oil, which is about 65% PMD; that means that, in total Repel Lemon Eucalyptus insect repellent is 19.5% PMD to OFF’s 10%. CONCLUSION: This is a decent “natural” bug spray; it works fairly well to repel mosquitos, without leaving any bad odor or sticky residue. That said, it doesn’t last long (it’s pretty ineffective after about an hour and totally ineffective by hour 2), and it doesn’t work as well as picaridin or DEET based bug spray. Additionally, there are better PMD based bug sprays; look for one that is 30% lemon eucalyptus oil/~19% PMD. Overall, though, this spray works well enough for me when I take the dog out for a walk in the evenings in my suburban/urban neighborhood. If you are doing to be doing anything in the woods or back country, get yourself a picaridin based bug spray. DEET is another alternative, but it leaves a greasy residue on the skin, can dissolve plastics (including elastics/synthetic fabrics on clothes), and is highly toxic to aquatic animals.Read more

Love this product. No scent or sticky feel, and it actually works against mosquitos. Also seems to keep sweat bees and “noseeums” at bay. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t last very long and because the price is high given the small amount of product you receive. We typically need to reapply within 30 minutes, which gets expensive. Wish I could buy this by the gallon and refill all of the tiny bottles. (We live in the southeast, so it’s very hot and humid in the summer, and sweat might reduce the effectiveness.)Read more

I love this stuff because I am a mosquito magnet and the bites last for a week on me with intense itching (if not treated with rubbing alcohol immediately) This stuff works and I can get two solid hours before reapplying but I do put it on heavily. It’s expensive and the sprayer is poor. However, I don’t stink all day because I went outside to water the plants! if I plan on showering after, i use something else that’s cheaper and sprays better, albeit stinky. I recently bought another brand in a plastic blue top big spray bottle and the sprayer was awesome. I’m going to save that bottle to refill with this stuff.Read more
