I ordered two of these (studio and signature) and both of them are what I can only assume are used reeds as the boxes were open!! This was supposed to be new. I’ve seen other reviews with this same issue! This is a highly personal item that goes in your mouth!! How do people keep getting used reeds!? This is disgusting and wrong. I PAID FOR A NEW ITEM!Read more

Légère reeds have won me over… a very trained ear can tell the difference but it’s barely worth mentioning for all the gains. Being able to pick up any horn without a bunch of prep and consistent, much longer-lasting reeds is worth the premium.Read more

Poor quality and overpriced. The package also seemed to be opened before. Seller did not address the issue in the proper manner neither.Read more

Very to set up on mouthpiece because you can see right through it, and so you can align the reed perfectly. It is always consistent. Perhaps a bit more “brassy” than cane, but I’ve found it perfect for practice.Read more

Easier smoother for beginners. Sound quality are the same as the cane made ones. Feels different though. Just expensive for such a small piece of plastic. I thot it’s a genuine Legere brand, just don’t know why listed as Other.Read more

Great reed. You don’t have to wet it, and it compares to a good cane reed. And if you get the wrong strength, you can return it to Legere for a replacement. It’s a one shot deal, though. Check the Legere web site to determine what strength will work for you.Read more

Its is just to soft. I couldn’t do a scoop or a vibrato on anything from a middle F# to a B. If you are a beginner, and looking to start playing synthetic reeds, this is great. I’m advance and it is just to soft for my liking. I reccomend a signature series 2.25 or a 2.5.Read more

For those that can blow stronger reed might try 2.5 or 2.75 or higher. 2.0 can blow “The one you love” perfectly fine. Tried “Baker Street” loop for 3 min straight no problem, even “Flight of bumblebee”. My finger can’t keep up though but the reed can and by now I play for about 30 min right out of the mailbox. One of this reed is equal to the price of 3 Vandoren reed that you’d spend weeks conditioning to play like that right out of the box.

Really love this reed, it is always the same , no playing no fading away, no harder than normal. This is excellent for an intermediate such as myself. I think its probably important to experience a natural reed a few times but once you start to notice the reed and how it affects your playing its probably time to change. They are easy to keep clean wash and dry in seconds. lasts ages. Cant think of anything negative to say.. Unless you dont like the tone then these are a must.Read more

I was rather cautious about going for a synthetic reed, but after a lot of research settled on this one. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I am rather old and only took up the sax four years ago so I am not giving it a lot of hard work, but it does everything asked and easily ranges from bottom Bb to F# alt. If it lasts as well as predicted then it will be a win-win situation, better than a reed I had recently which blew about as well a a piece of 4×2 timber!Read more

Jazzy sound and easy to play. In comparison to Legere Classic that I play too, it requires more effort to produce high notes, yet middle register notes sound brilliant. Conclussion: synthetic reeds both Legere Classic 2 and Signature 2 are so far the best especially for long practising as the reeds dont get worn out or change their shape. On and off I still use unfiled select jazz d’Addario 2M but now.. I am a synthetic devotee 🙂 The reed was sent from USA Amazon thus I guess why the box was opened (Customs clearance ?). But the reed was brand new.Read more
