Didn’t come with any sort of instructions or how to use it, so if you’re new to sewing and diy fabric projects like I am and haven’t ever used this type of adhesive, then make sure you read the product description. It’s a great amount for the price, I liked that it came in a variety of widths, but it really doesn’t hold. I placed it between two pieces of fabric, ironed the fabric, let it cool like the description says, and as I was (gently) turning my creation inside out, the hem was just ripping apart. So I gave it another try, but instead of try to flip something inside out, I just fused two pieces of fabric together and once done I just gave it a very small tug and again, it ripped. To give an idea of how very little I tugged on it, it felt like tugging on two sheets of paper towels and them splitting apart at the seam (if that makes sense?) lolRead more

this was great to hem up the skirt of a ballgown costume without having to do any cutting! Update: knocking off 3 stars. Washed the gown I used the hem tape on (inside a solid wash bag in cold water) and entire strips Of the hem tape detached and disintegrated. Thank god I opened the bag to check before I put it in the dryer to discover bits of the tape all over the costume. Narrowly avoided ruining a VERY expensive costume gown I’d only worn one evening. What’s the point of hem tape that holds up so poorly in the wash?! I left two stars only bc the hemming held up at the time I originally wore the costume. But frustrating to know I will need to rehem before I can wear again.Read more

This product arrived unraveled and was a mess, in a plastic bag. It was not a nice round spool, as pictured. Despite this, my hem was falling down, so I used it. It seemed okay until the first wash, when my hem fell down all over again. I tried it again, thinking that maybe I’d done it wrong, so I used more product and fixed my hem again. With the next wash, you guessed it. The hem fell off again. I went to the store and bought another product and haven’t had a problem since. Don’t waste your money! If it appears to be cheap, it probably is!!Read more

Used this in making curtains with an unbleached cotton drop cloth. It worked really well. I was worried I wasn’t going to remember how to use it since no directions were included, but it was intuitive to me (I don’t sew myself, but was raised by a seamstress). I used high heat and made really slow passes. Pulling on the hem now that it is cool, I could absolutely see this not lasting during a wash cycle. Will try to update when curtains are finally needing to be washed.Read more

Tried my best to use this right… Ended up cutting it into small slivers to get it to stay while folding. Even then, they move around quite a bit. Might be user error so didn’t factor that into the review. Main problem was the holding power. Ironed the Hem in and was a good hold for the first wear, second wear, the Hem broke and pant leg was sagging down. Redid and the same thing happened after 2 more wears, so now I just rehem after 2 wears.Read more

This product works well, however, if you’ve never used it before, make sure you find instructions. I know, it should be pretty straight forward, iron on but the devil is in the details. Overall, works well.Read more

Bought this to fix up my kids pants and it was a huge waste of money as it would not even work as directed. I followed the directions to the letter and it simply did not work. I just got a friend of mine to hem the pants the old fashioned way.Read more

It’s ok, not the greatest I have used but what did I expect from the price. Had to double it over and even then it was hard to get it to stick. Luckily it was only for something temporary so it just about managed to hold together for it. I wouldn’t get this if you wanted some more permanent.Read more

Seems to be slighly inconsitent in terms of how much heat is needed as I was ironing different sections for the same amount of time. Once it is stuck down it does its job thoughRead more
