These are an amazing value. They’re super soft and smooth, and super shiny. The colors are really diverse too. Just like DMC, but SO much cheaper, especially cheaper than their sets. There’s no numbers and I don’t think this company sells singles, so if you are running low on a particular color you should probably take what’s left of skein to the store and try to find one that matches, but at this price I thought about buying two or three sets, though I wanted to get just one and try them out first. Definitely will be getting those two more sets now though. I haven’t tried the needles yet but I wouldn’t let bad needles be a dealbreaker for you getting these threads. They glide so smoothly along fabric, and with a dense satin stitch they really do have a sheen. I’ve alreadh embroidered a few things with this and if they would just number them it would be perfect.Read more

These are good threads at a good price. You get 124 skeins for 11.99, which means you’re paying less that $0.10 per skein, plus they include a pack of needles which are quite small and good for precise embroidery work! Compared to DNC thread which is usually about $0.52 per skein, that’s a good deal. The threads are strong and easy to pull apart and the colors are lovely. The only reason I give i only four stars is that they have no numbers to identify them, so if you run out of thread mid-project, you pretty much have to buy another entire pack if you want your colors to perfectly match. I usually use this thread for small accents against the DNC thread which have numbers to identify every color.Read more

Paxcoo 124 Skeins Embroidery Floss Cross Stitch Thread with Needles I was nervous ordering this online without seeing the texture of the thread but am very happy with the order. It’s a nice silky texture much like DMC thread. I would recommend this product for hand embroidery.Read more

So far, so good! No bleeding. Wrapping bobbins went fairly well, as long as you start with the correct end. I have noticed that the thread consistency isn’t perfect. If you separate your floss into 3-thread strands, one strand will likely be slightly thicker than the other. Variation isn’t visible in my work though. Overall good buy to get my collection up to speed! I also think the number of yellows and browns greatly exceeded the other colors. I’m picking on color and I couldn’t tell the difference between some of the browns.Read more

I liked having so many colors. My dislikes: the colors do not have names or numbers on them, and they do not match the threads in the kits I have been purchasing, so if I run out of a specific color, what do I have to do? Go and purchase that at the store. GRUMPY. And they have so few tan hues that it has me frustrated, to the max. This was not a wise purchase on my part. The quality of thread is kind of hairy and rough, not smooth and silky. The colors do not match. The best I can say is that it was cheap.Read more

Lots of colors! Some duplicates (or just very similar shades) but not too many. This floss has a nice, sort of shiny finish to it. Not as prone to knots as some other brands I’ve worked with. My only small complaint is that there’s really nothing between blue and green (project I’m working on needs several shades of teal-ish…) but if I’d bothered to look closely at the product image, it pretty clearly shows that there are blues and greens but nothing in between, so that’s on me. Apologies for not having a photo of the whole set–I’ve already pulled a bunch of colors out and generally made a mess of things, but I did include a picture of a few skeins to show the glossiness (and those two maroon-ish ones on the end that are labeled with different numbers, but appear to be the same shade, or at least extremely close). It does appear to have all the same colors as shown in the photo, so if you’re looking for anything specific, you can use that for reference! Overall happy with my purchase.Read more

This was the first set of embroidery thread I bought in a long time and I’m very happy with it. It took me a while to put in a review, but I found they were easily as nice and effective as name-brand embroidery. If you’re picky about your thread you might see a difference, but I’m from the ‘work with what you have’ school of arts and crafts. I’ve included a completed project so you can see. While my embroidery skills may need improvement, I feel like these threads did just fine! Note: Pattern is from DMC.Read more

The string is really nice and soft, and it certainly comes in a plethora of colours. However, the string is not suitable for making bracelets. Which is the reason I purchased it. Since it is so soft it comes apart fairly easily. It does work but it’s not ideal. I have been making bracelets with it though so don’t let that discourage you if it’s the best price :)Read more

With DMC and other flosses so expensive I tried this line of floss. It is very soft and the colors are wonderful. They match up fine with a chart that calls for DMC. This thread has great coverage on 14 ct aida. This thread doesn’t tangle or twist while you stitch with a long length. Love this floss.Read more

Overall, very happy with these for hand embroidery projects! When I compared these skeins with DMC flosses, these didn’t look quite as “satiny” as the DMCs. But when I used these flosses, I couldn’t tell the difference in finished pieces side by side! Also, the numbers SLIGHTLY correspond to DMC. The shade was slightly off when I compared them. There are LOTS of shades of brown/tan, which is good if you’re doing shading in brown maybe? But there weren’t nearly as many purples as other colors, and I embroider a lot of flowers. I haven’t tested them yet to see if they’re colorfast, but I hope so, since tea towels are going to be my next project! The other thing is that the eyes in these needles aren’t as big as they look. If you’re trying to thread two strands at once, you still almost need a needle threader. But at a fraction of the price of name brand embroidery floss, I’d definitely get these again! I don’t usually write reviews, but I was so excited about these, I wanted to share!!! Glorious colors!!! I am so excited to use this thread. I was worried that the colors wouldn’t be as vibrant and beautiful, but they are stunning. I highly recommend this product, and I will be buying this set again when I need more embroidery thread!
