These folders are great! Being extra capacity, they really do hold a lot of paperwork. I bought them to organize my daughters papers from daycare and eventually school, and they work perfect. They come needing some “assembly”, meaning that there are designated areas you need to fold, and then add the cardboard insert to keep them expanded. Very simple to do, took a whole 30 seconds. TAKE NOTE: they are made to be used in their extra wide form. If you do not put the cardboard piece in the bottom to make them wide, they will be too tall to stand in a standard filing cabinet. If I tried to use them before “assembly” the hooks would not rest where they should in the cabinet. If you want regular folders, then don’t buy these. They are made to be in their extra capacity form, and I think that is where some other reviewers had an issue and docked stars from the product…. but the product is completely as advertised. They are very sturdy and have worked perfect for my project! I will definitely be purchasing more!Read more

We received these hanging file folders to put into the new file cabinets we just purchased. The ones we had previously used had lasted a while but were on their last leg. The product itself seems pretty decent and sturdy, but there were a few issues with them. 1) Of the 2 boxes we ordered (40 total hanging folders), we had 5 of them that the glue had separated where it folds over the hanger. I glued them back together and taped them for good measure, so we’ll see how that holds up. 2) One box did not come with any of the clear tabs that are supposed to come with. There was a sealed clear plastic bag that I assume should have held the tabs, but it was empty. All in all, those issues aren’t enough to make me send them back, but they are an inconvenience.Read more

They are working perfectly for my file folder bins. I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on them, I am very pleased with what arrived. Took a little time to place the cardboard in the bottom of the file, but I like that I have the option to take them out if I don’t need the support. I also like that they match my Pendaflex color file folders. I would buy them again.Read more

These come with the standard single-fold bottom, which makes them taller than regular holders. To get the “Extra Capacity” you have to make 2 more creases and insert the given piece of cardboard, which makes it 2 inches wide and regular hight. The bottom is laminated in someway to prevent taring around the bottom. Once the folder has been expanded, it is hard to get it skinny again. There are multiple files of each color, making it easy to group similar paper types.Read more

These expanding hanging file folders allow me to house my file folders that contain a few inches, at least, of files, and to keep topics together by having many files with the same topic in each. I use different colors to represent different main topics, so it helps keep everything organized – and I’m into organization. Makes things much easier to locate when needed. They come with somewhat thin pieces of cardboard to keep the bottoms open and give them a little more stability – they could have made these a little thicker for my liking, but they have served their purpose as is. They also come with the plastic inserts & scored strips of sturdier paper to identify/name each file, with a varying # of different positions to place these inserts. Very pleased with this product, but like I mentioned, the cardboard bottom inserts could have been a little thicker.Read more

These folders are good quality and colors but has only one problem. Unless you fill it with papers you can’t really use it as a non expandable folder. If there are only few papers you still have to open it wide as if it is filled other wise the folder will stand high and will not hang properly until you expand it, and then the hangers will rest on the ledge. Was hoping to use it as regular hanging folder and be able to expand it when paper number increases.Read more

The folders themselves are durable, and come with a cardboard insert for the bottom. My only problem is that I prefer to print the tab inserts, rather than hand writing them. The template I downloaded from Pendaflex was not accurate, and ruined the single page of inserts that came with the package, so now I’m stuck buying new tab inserts. It’s not a huge deal, but annoying.Read more

I pushed paper for a living for 40 years. Never had such a problem with folders, specifically with the file labeling. The box says to go to a website to get the template for printing labels. It takes you a sales page with no reference to a template. Searched the entire site, couldn’t find it. Better off to buy files with labels you can describe with a Sharpie. Don’t spend all this money for this shoddy product, and company it seems.Read more

I like the extra capacity. They were as described and less expensive than from office supply stores, etc. I don’t see a lot of advantage over these black thicker end tabs and the typical white ones that you buy. Because the end tabs are not very long, a really large file will still slip off the file drawer bar. I would love to find ones where the end tabs that fits over the bar in your file drawer are longer.Read more

The photos are deceiving. The quality of the actual item is fine but if you are looking for a thicker file you will not be satisfied with these. To achieve the thicker file functionality, the hangers that fit into the filing cabinet are adjusted and you end up with a normal file. Note also that these are A4 size not the usual size of most filing cabinets. Just returned mine. Very disappointed as a big time waster!Read more
