I have ordered several different types of these bags to bag my own ice. I live in South Flordia and ice is expensive. This bag is BY FAR the best deal for 100 bags AND it is far thicker than the ones with the string that are sold for near $20. You can use the twist tie, but you can also tie the top of the bag. The biggest thing is that they are thicker than the others and do not rip.Read more

We recently purchased a counter top ice maker to use when our family gets together and to use when we are freezing vegetables from our garden. We fill up two or three ice bags at a time and put them in our upright freezer. Never have to wait for ice from the refrigerator ice maker again! These are 10lb bags but if you dare put 8lbs in them they will rip and fall apart. Very flimsy material that is way too thin for their purpose. You will need to double bag if you intend of filling them to 10lbs, so in theory you will only get 50 for the cost of 100.Read more
