   I would have easily given this light 5 stars had it not been for the fact mine came slightly damaged because as one of the other reviews mentioned, the screws that attach the ballast to the light are plastic. It seems these screws are easily damaged if the shipping box is dropped sideways as you can see in the pictures. However, my light works perfectly fine and aside from one screw head being sheared off and the other bent. The ballast sits on top of the fixture, so realistically once it’s hanging you don’t need to worry about anything falling off. I contacted Phlizon customer service and they offered me a solution to my concerns and mentioned that their engineers are working on a solution to the plastic screw issue so hopefully the next lights I buy will have this issue addressed. As far as the light itself, I will definitely be buying more. The build quality is good and feels well put together. The dimmer switch works very well. None of this flip the ballast over and adjust with a screwdriver as some of the competitors require. Par output is slightly less than my 315 Watt CMH Sunstream but it achieves this with much less wattage so for me that’s a win. There is VERY little heat output compared to my 315 CMH lights which is fantastic.Read more

   I used it all winter. It helped survive those plants what normally can’t get thorough in winter time. Some complaining about high temperature at the top part. It is true at 100% power. But, you can adjust the power with the dial on the housing. If you dial it down just a little back to 90% then the excess heat dropping down (from the electrical driver part) to a very acceptable temperature. Probably, you won’t even notice a drop of the brightness level. It consumes 200 Watts at maximum power. I found very effective level around 50-60%. Only warning, it is effective around 2feet x 2feet area max.Read more

   Light is super bright, i was quite suprised when i peaked into the tent. im running a 40x40x80 tent with it and im quite suprised how well the light fills up the tent. only complaint i have, is that it doesnt come with large enough clips to clip onto the support bars. had to go out and buy some myself, which isnt a big deal, but maybe you guys could look into that. no plants yet but will write a different review then.Read more

   Bought in july and by feburary it no longer turns on. Checked connections, switch,etc. Plugged in on 3 different circuits and nothing. It just died. An email was sent to the manufacturer via the website. It’s been almost a week and not even a generic letter head response. I don’t know how to feel about this other then let down.Read more

   This is the best light for the price, way better than MarsHydro, SpiderFarmer, MaxiSun and the rest!! Look no where else, this is the real deal! I suggest buying the 600W or 1500W only as the other models have less diodes per watt and are pricier. I bought 5 lights model 1500W within a year since it’s so great!    This light surprised me, I absolutely love being able to adjust the power output, & I hung this thing up and of course the first thing i did was CRANK the power & this light got so bright that it hurt, very powerful light, please wear glasses if you are running it full power, Ya know we had a minor hiccup bout something but the folks at customer service were all over it & took great care of me very quickly..for the money this lil baby rocks!Read more

   The media could not be loaded. I have tried a couple different brands which didn’t work as advertised (distance from plant to light etc) and Phlizon works AMAZING!!! They are now definitely my go to brand and I will be buying another light soon from them so I can grow more veggies at a time!!! I have been doing the “Kratky Method” which doesn’t need anything but light, all that you see in my video are 5 gallon buckets and I haven’t had any issues at all. I love how you can change the brightness and also how you can adjust the level up and down with the pulley that it comes with. Also I LOVE that this hooded design directs the light on the plants instead of wasted light on the ones that don’t have the hood. This also by far is the best light you can get for your money, trust me I researched for weeks comparing sooooo many different brands and with this model the 1500 you get the best deal. Not sure why it just so high in price to the 2000 model, I think they discontinued the 1500 and noticed they upgraded all lights with the newer flat ones without the hood BUT I hope they don’t take them away completely….. if they do I will still buy another one, I hope it will direct the light like the hooded kind!!! I wish that they made one that was longer with less width like a 4 foot long by 1 foot wide…. that would be PERFECT for my setup!!!Read more

   I like this light. I have a 4’x2’x6′ tent and it does a great job of illuminating the entire garden. My only beef is that on my unit, the knob “maxes out” @ 5. There is no visual difference between 5 and 10. I do not have any sort of PAR meter so I cannot determine if there is some greater output, but I was disappointed by that. This is my second product by this co. and My other Phlizon product works perfectly. Would I buy this unit again? Yeah. I think my issue is a one-off and wasn’t worth the hassle of contacting the company and making a fuss. The light still works great, and my little green children are very happy.Read more

    About mid way through the round, I noticed multiple light that wouldn’t shut off at night. Completely ruined my round and caused seeds to develop. Contacted customer support and it took them over 2 weeks to even respond and didn’t even offer any advice. Also set up a camera, and lights would flicker on for around 10 seconds at a time during off hours. And another thing, these light get so hot that they would physically burn you an my ac couldn’t keep up. Not worth 1 cent. Easier to keep a HPS light cooler. They run so hot that I had to dim them down to 70% and yield was lowest I ever had as a grower and seeds on top of it.Read more
