I know a good, economical pen when I find one, and these are definitely the best I’ve seen in decades. With a wide variety of colors and point sizes, these are perfect for virtually all types of writing. The ink takes well to most qualities of notebook, filler, and copy paper, and I don’t recall it smearing or dripping in any of those cases. Some “polished”, extremely smooth and silky, receipt paper from restaurants can be problematic though, and that is entirely the fault of the paper, not the pen. Of the 3 dozen or so (of all colors) that I’ve used since about 2011, I’ve only had 2 which “wouldn’t write”, and that was likely because they were the last 2 of a dozen I’d been holding on to for several years for future use. These are absolutely my #1 recommendation for pens.Read more

I alternate between using Pilot G2 0.7 and 0.5 (Fine & Extra Fine respectively). Whichever width I feel like using, Pilot always meets my expectations. The pens are easy to hold and comfortable, the ink writes smoothly and each pens lasts for several weeks when I write everyday. Recently I accidentally washed a red pen (luckily not in a load of white laundry), and it wrote normally. Clearly I don’t recommend washing any writing utensil, but I do like knowing that these are sturdy enough to not be entirely ruined when I forget to check the pockets.Read more

As a novelist and illustrator, I’m a natural born pen snob. I’m specific about ink type, tip size, barrel shape, you name it. I strictly use Gelly Roll Moonlight pens for art, and Pilot v7 and v5 pens for drafting. I wanted something a little more comfortable for journaling and my personal planner, and remembered having a set of colored G2 pens that I loved back in high school, so I gave these a shot. They are above-average pens. They’re more comfortable to hold for long periods of time than a V5. But they’re not quite stellar enough to give you that, “Oh my God, it writes so SMOOTH!” type of feeling. I have some minor issues with slight skipping, making my handwriting look messier. The colors are a bit dull, compared to other basic black/blue/green/red assortments. They’re still good, better than 98% of the pens I’ve ever tried. I’ll still use them on days when my upping my word count is more important than writing very neatly. They’re just not quite AS amazing as I feel they used to be.Read more

I have always preferred Pilot G2 pens for writing. I have never had one bleed all over my stuff, as I have had other gel pens do. I like them as they write smoothly, and clearly. They are also not very expensive in consideration to how long they last. The only issue I’ve had is one or two random pens no longer inking for some reason, I want to emphasize this is not a common fault. You don’t have to press down hard to get good results, the ink glides on smoothly. As far as the colored pack goes this is for my geology class, and having color distinctions when labeling things are a plus. Be warned though, the ink does not stand up well to water – if your paper gets wet it will get pretty blurry. I prefer them to pencils still though, as pencils tend to smudge, no matter what quality of paper their on, given enough time. I have yet to find better pens in regard to water resistance.Read more

The G2 0.5mm pens have been a long time favorite. The pen itself is simple, yet comfortable. The ink is smooth and thin, much better for me than the 0.7. However, over the last several years I started having issues with the 0.5 pens. After some use, the tiny ball in the tip of the pen breaks free, rendering the remaining ink useless. (In the pictures you can see a tiny wire that pokes out of the tip when the ball comes off.) I have encountered this problem with black, blue, green, and red ink pens. I want to love them, but only getting to use a half or a quarter of the ink is frustrating and a waste of money.Read more

I agree with the other reviews that say the black pens seem to write fine, but the color pens do not. I used the blue pen for one day in a 70 sheet spiral bound notebook. It was barely okay (had to trace over what I wrote several times). The second day, it won’t write — it’s useless. I switched to the green pen, it’s struggled the *first* time I used it. I’m disappointed. The G-2 has been my “go to” pen for years. I’m guess I’m going to have to buy them separately like other reviews have suggested.Read more

Been looking for 5.0 in the store, home depot, office max, Walmart, staples, target, etc. At least in my location. They sell the 5.0 in black only but I needed some color. Great pens for writing and drawing with a nice grip.Read more

So I have bought many pens looking for the right one and I finally go it! I always thought the type of ink made the difference, or the brand, and I knew it had to be the tip of the pen that made it right better, but even though I bought so many pens, rarely did i find and emphasising the difference between a .07 and .05 tip. Wow, the .05 mm tip is absolutely amazing and a pleasure to write with. I mean i suppose if I could find another company that says .05 it would be just as good, but other companies say .07 is fine… but it’s not. Buy this pan and prepare to be amazed. It lets you write tiny letters on paper without smudging resulting in super clear letters and words. The same pen in .07 will smudge when you write tiny words. i mean not a alot, but compared to this .05 pen, the difference is clear.Read more

Read more

Bought this as a recommendation for nursing school. They are so smooth to write notes for class and clinical. I have not experienced any pen bleeds and I really enjoy the different colour options from the variety pack. It is even better when you get these on sale!Read more

Read more

Tienes que escribir muy despacio ya que si lo haces rápido la tinta no corre y se corta, dejando pedazos en blanco, esto obviamente hace que tus apuntes sean mas lentos o de mala calidadRead more
