Husband likes the toolbox – it’s basic and the right size to keep his most used essentials handy. Biggest complaint the top compartments constantly come open and spill his screws and nails and whatnot. If this didn’t happen, it would get five stars. Update: a year ago it was repurposed to the kids’ tool box for play tools, works great for that. We don’t put anything in the top.Read more

The storage compartments in the lid don’t stay closed. Anytime I open the lid all the way, both open. Practically useless storage unless I want to repack every time. I’d keep shopping and pass this option.Read more

I bought two of these to make my girls small tool boxes. Price was great and quality is very nice. Can’t speak to the bad reviews of some with small compartments not holding up, but not sure what they are doing or how hard they are using it. Its a cheap little tool box that really works great. If you want to criticize it bunch, I think its unfair. For the price and quality I would highly recommend it. If you need this every day for “work” or something like that, you should be spending a little more for a high use, everyday box. :)Read more

This is a pretty flimsy “tool box.” It might be suitable for lightweight art supplies or the like but it is really not suitable for anything heavy. Thin plastic construction and a marginally effective latch. When I purchased this I was attempting to duplicate a Rubbermaid tool box I bought several years ago that I really like. This tool box isn’t even in the same solar system. I can only recommend this for storing light weight things like sewing items and art supplies.Read more

I am a handy girl. I have tools that are older than i am, some are my dads some my grandfathers,, but they all live in the garage or basement. i wanted a toolbox for the second floor, i just wanted a few everyday essential that were more accessible. I was so excited when i saw it. it s cute and durable enough for what i wanted it for….BUT my hammer doesnt fit in it, it is too long. Now maybe because me tools are old they are larger than an average hammer of today. i have no idea, but check your dimensions before you buy.Read more

I bought this to keep the excess clutter from my main toolbox, so for my purpose, this was a great deal. Less expensive than many of the small storage containers I found. The box itself is pretty small so I wouldn’t expect to be able to keep many tools in it or larger items. The clear compartments on top to hold screws and nails need to be snapped down securely or everything will fall out when you open the lid, these are not very durable. Overall I’m happy with the purchase for the money.Read more

This is just a decent collect all for the homeowner. Its not meant for the pro, and not meant for really heavy tools. Small? Well, read the description! Basically 14 x 7 x 7. I haven’t had a problem with the small compartments opening up. Mine seem to stay shut. I suppose if you had something heavy in there maybe they would open when you flipped the lid over. My latch stays shut as well. Again, maybe if I had really heavy stuff in it it would pop open when lifted. The hinge is plastic but seems to do the job as well. If the video is still up in the listing, you can watch that and see the hinges. The one thing I question is the shape of the tray. It has an hour glass or dog bone shape to it. It narrows in the middle for no apparent reason. This serves no purpose except to make the tray even smaller!? Any tool of width is hard pressed to fit. Wide pliers or a crimp tool, say. So yeah you get what you pay for. I got mine on sale and wouldn’t pay the “regular” price I see now!Read more

This toolbox met my needs for storing tools that I often use around the house. It’s small enough to fit inside the hall closet. It’s mostly all lightweight plastic with an easy lift-out piece that helps with organization. I’m not sure how sturdy this would be as a tool box for heavier duties, but for me. It worked just fine. It would be good as a craft tool box as well.Read more
