Interesting title huh? Be honest, it’s a disgusting topic, but an elephant in the room. You have an outdoor trash bin. Every summer, no matter what you do, flies bombard your trash to no end. Trash man comes to pick up your trash and what are you left with? Disgusting maggots all over the bottom and sides of your trash bin. If you’re a decent human being, you have to wash out your trash bin on a weekly basis before throwing more trash in there. This is where these bags shine. You put the rubber band over the rim of the trash bin which creates a seal so no flies or maggots can infect the walls of your trash bin. When trash pickup day comes, you simply remove the rubber band, tie the ends of the massive trash bag together, and let your trash man take the bag away… Maggots and all. I know it seems crazy to pay for giant trash bags but I like them. They help keep the van from getting all nasty regardless of what you toss in it. Just like any trash bag they can be punctured and can also rip but I just tie them up and then the truck tips it over and the entire thing comes out in the truck. If you are thrifty you can keep it in there for a few weeks instead of using one per week (depending on what you tossed out!) The only thing I would change is that to fit around the lid hinges I have to cut and/or rip the bag edges so they lay nice… otherwise they bunch up and hold rain water. However…. slice them and then either tie them around the hinges or use the giant rubber bands to hold the bags in place.Read more

I keep asking myself, why didn’t I buy these earlier? In the summer it is so hard to keep the trash can clean with all the popsicle wrapper and other things my kids throw in there. Sometime we even get maggots! We do have a cleaning service in our area, but quite honestly it is expensive. I was thinking, don’t they make a trash bag big enough for this trash can…went onto Amazon and bingo I found these! I have been using these for a couple months and they are awesome. I bought the rubber bands on here to go along with this product (it was a pack of 5 I believe). I will definitely continue to buy! Oh and I don’t try to leave the rubber band on and save the bag, I take the rubber band off and sort of gather the bag at the top (I don’t tie it or anything). When they dump the trash can the whole bag just slides right out, and I am left with a nice clean can!!Read more

I actually bought these huge garbage bags for something entirely other than their intended purpose. I was needing something huge to cover the 7’, 6’, & 5’ Christmas trees that are one piece. You can’t take them apart so I have to put them in our back garage to store and I used the bags to slip over the top and completely cover the tree to keep dust out! Was as described and as pictured. Arrived quickly and fits 64 gallon tote and allows enough room for the full tote to use the bags without collapsing the bag and pulling the top of the bag inside of the tote. Becareful opening the box they arrive in because, if you use a box cutter it is easy to slice the bags because they are not inside of another box, they are tightly packed inside of ONLY the box used to deliver them. Works really well for a 64 gallon tote by allowing the bag to be completely filled in the tote and not having the bag’s sides pop up and slip inside the tote.Read more
