Details of Expansion Sleeves:
Poly Expansion Sleeves package comes with 60 pcs each of the 1/2″ Plastic Rings. These poly expansion rings are perfect for any domestic water or radiant heating system that uses PEX-A lines for water distribution. They are made from high quality Poly Ethelene material that is safe for drinking water lines. You can secure your PEX piping with help of expansion fittings by using this expansion rings.
Installation Steps:
STEP 1. Cut Pipe at 90 Degree. Do not crush Outer Diameter of pipe with cutters.
STEP 2. Insert Pex Sleeve or Ring onto Pex Tube
STEP 3. Using tube expander, expand sleeve fully. Repeat expansions, rotating expander 1/8-turn between expansions. Note: To limit the amount of time for tube compression onto fitting in cold environments, expand the tube/sleeve slowly and only enough to fully insert the fitting. Keeping sleeves warm will speed retraction and inhibit unequal expansion.
STEP 4. After the final expansion, immediately remove the tool and insert the fitting. Ensure the tubing and ring seat against the shoulder of the fitting.
