I love this ice machine. I use it all the time when I’m home. It has a small footprint on my counter. It’s fairly quiet except when it dumps ice and scares my cats. I make ice and then I transfer it to my freezer where I have an ice bucket. This is saving me money because I’m not buying ice by the bag anymore and I’m not wasting plastic bags. The cats hate this ice maker and they see no purpose in me owning it. But then, they are cats and they don’t like ice anyway. I told my cats that having a supply of ice makes me happy and when I’m happy I will provide more treats. They have agreed to let me keep it.Read more

After simple initial cleaning I was eager to test this ice maker machine, as far as noise goes it’s not overly noisy but normal. In 6 to 8 minutes it produces 9 bullet-shaped hollow ice, there are a total of 36 ice in 30 minutes. So far so good, hopefully this machine last as it advertised, there is a two years warranty.Read more

Really wanted to love this. I love love ice and our new home didn’t have an ice maker. I figured this would be an inexpensive option to hold me over until we redo all our appliances next fall. If you have it running 24/7 you will always have ice however I doubt the mechanical parts will last long that way. If you make a full basket of ice and then turn the system off it will all melt within 2 hours max and this is in a home with central air set to 68. Also this little thing makes quite the racket. Overall its ok and makes around a 1/4 of a cup of ice in 8 minutes so not tooo awful.Read more

We’ve had this like a month and it was worth the money. Our fridge ice maker stopped working, and we replaced it only for something to not work still. I think it’s the tube that supplies water to the maker itself, the water keeps freezing. Anyway, I bought this ice maker because we use a lot of ice since we got the Culligan water system and have upped our water intake 100% from regular well water. Now, for the product itself, I think the ice will taste like the water does, only colder. We have like, 1000% filtered water with the UV light and everything so our water tastes amazing. If you have hard water, I’d use distilled/filtered from the store to prevent buildup. The ice cubes are smaller than regular freezer cubes. And they’re hollow so they melt faster. It does make a lot of ice in 24 hours, like 2 freezer buckets full. Fill the reservoir, empty the basket, repeat. The maker itself is powerful enough to make ice, but not keep it from melting once it’s in the basket. You do have to move it to a freezer or it’ll melt and repeat the process. This is not something you could plug in and leave the house/property for extended periods of time. An hour, maybe 2. Another thing, because it’s not as cold as a freezer, we get a lot of clumping once we transfer from machine to freezer. Giant clumps of ice cubes which we break with a wooden spoon. It’s merely a nuisance, not a deal breaker. It makes noise, but not more than a fridge. A gentle hum you’ll eventually get used to. The sounds did freak out the dogs the first few times we used it, but they love ice so it was quickly accepted into the family as it provided cold treats as tribute. :)Read more

This unit takes an hour and a half to make enough ice to fill my 40 oz water bottle. I have to move the cubes back from the outfeed chute after about an hour so it will not decide it is full. This works well but you cant set a timer to turn on due to how it functions, I wish it could since I have to turn it on before Ileave for work. I am glad I have it, it works well. I have it for the summer since I work outdoors and need to stay hydrated and prefer iced water and refill with water several times a day. The picture shows a full ice basket, due to the auto shut off when much less full the picture is not accurate.Read more

I loved this machine when I got it. It was wonderful having ice basically on demand. But today (about 4 days after the window to return it ended) it has completely stopped working. I’ve tried the basic fixes I could find online (there aren’t many details), including turning it off, leaving it unplugged overnight, etc. Nothing helps. I plug it in and the green light blinks to show it has power, but I can’t get it to start making ice again. I’m very disappointed. It was also surprisingly noisy — less in the working than when the ice dropped into the basket.Read more

Took an hour to make the first batch of ice and this was stated in the booklet. Added more distilled water set to large cubes and after 45 min had 4 small cubes. Will give this product 1 more shot. If it does not work, I am sending it back and will buy ice. $1.00 a gallon for distilled water. $1.99 FOR A bag of ice and zero aggravation.Read more
