FROM THE MANUFACTURER
The Post-it Note was invented as a solution without a problem. In 1968 Dr. Spencer Silver, a 3M scientist, developed a unique, repositionable adhesive. As remarkable as it was, the product could not find a market. Six years later, colleague Art Fry recalled Silver’s seminars promoting the light adhesive when he was daydreaming about a bookmark that would stay put in his church hymnal. The rest is history.

Today, Post-it boasts more than 4,000 unique products and has become one of the most well-known and beloved brands in the world.

Are All Post-it Paper Products Recyclable?
Yes. 3M has conducted recycling trials on Post-it Notes at recycled paper mills. The adhesive does not interfere with paper recycling, because the adhesive is substantially removed in the paper de-inking process. The dyes in the paper are also removed in this part of the process.

Are Post-it Notes Made from Recycled Paper?
Yes. Many different colors and sizes of Post-it Notes are available with paper containing at least 30 percent post-consumer recycled content. In addition, 3M offers 100 percent recycled content notes in canary yellow and assorted pastel colors. The 100 percent recycled content notes contain 70 percent pre-consumer and 30 percent post-consumer fiber. Post-it Easel Pads are also available with 30 percent post-consumer content paper.

I was very excited when I started using these post-its because they stuck well. However, one of the sticky notes attached to my countertop got wet. The dye from the post-it has permanently stained my countertop. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get it to come off, but nothing is working. I’m furious. I will never buy this product or buy from this company ever again.Read more

I love Post-It Notes! I have tons of them. I thought the price was good and purchased. I started using them yesterday and while they do stick, they are not very sticky. I was working on a project where I needed to stack the post-its in order, then post them to paper. I then needed to move them around my process flow paper and again, they barely stick. Normally with the brand name product, I can use half of the sticky section and it works great. This pack, not so much. Because of the price I’m not returning them. Update: Today, one of the post its fell off and I had to put it back up.Read more

I ordered these post-its, expecting them to come packaged as pictured in the first picture from the item description. What I got was 6 loose pads of post-its, as shown in the second image. I’m sure they will work just fine, and it is a small thing in the grand scheme of things. But, who knows how long they have been sitting loose, or what may have crawled all over them in the warehouse. Actually, I’m more skeeved now that that thought popped into my head. Packaging is there for a reason, people.Read more

These notes are very sticky and will adhere to any surface. However, the notes are made from a woven paper fabric; they feel like a dollar bill, not a sheet of paper. Writing on them is not the same a paper notes, because these easily smear until the ink dries. Waterproof marking pens work better than ball point ink. The real advantage is that they do not shred when wet, so best use is probably construction.Read more

Every note in the stack is covered with some kind of smelly film that makes it impossible to effectively transfer ink from a ballpoint pen. I have to repeatedly write over what I just wrote for it to show solidly, and even then, sometimes my printing, letters, numbers, etc., has missed areas or has blank areas. The surface takes a felt tip marker, but not a ball point. What the devil was the company (3M?) thinking when they coated every sheet with some chemical that interferes wtih using a ball point pen? Can they be more idiotic? I’m no paper-manufacturing expert, but I will clearly affirm that whatever this coating is, is ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY. Didn’t the company’s quality control test a ball point pen? Don’t buy these unless you don’t mind using a felt tip marker or other kind of magic marker for ALL of your note-jotting.Read more

I depend on post-it’s for work. I have tried all of the cheaper, knock off brands. The paper is thinner, and none of them stick. So, spend the extra money and stick with the 3M Post-It brands.Read more

I’m not sure why there were reviews saying these notes don’t adhere well and are hard to write on. The first thing I did was test the pens I usually write with on the first set of notes in the package, and both my sharpie fine pens and my standard ballpoint pens work just fine. I also stuck the note to both my desk and then my notebook, and it adhered to each just fine, even after being moved. I love these, and the colors are not too bright to easily see what is being written as long as you don’t use a very light colored pen. I will definitely continue to buy from Post It.Read more

What can I say? I adore Post-It’s and think they’re generally a reliable brand with well-made products. I haven’t read others’ reviews on here (and am sure there’s at least one person griping about it). Although in my experience with the speedy Prime delivery and the product itself, I have no complaints. Not even with the price for a pack of four. This’ll surely last me awhile and I am pleased with them overall.Read more

¡Excelentes! Me llegaron del color que indica la foto ( aqua, verde y rosa) Están de muy buen tamaño, ya que son más grandes que el “Post it” habitual. Quedé muy satisfecha con la relación costo calidad.Read more
