I chose this product over other ones due to the fact that I thought it was made in America. After checking the fine print I realize my mistake. This is a direct quote from their description so it is my bad, however, I feel that they were purposely misleading. “As an American company, headquartered in Biloxi, MS, we are proud to stand behind our products as we greatly value repeat business.” Also, look at the 4th picture down in the product pics. Notice the American flag and the fact that it says the company is an American seller. Then look at the 5th picture down. They conveniently cut off the bottom of the charger that says ‘made in China.’ Again, my bad but I thought I would bring this up to other purchasers. The cord is very long and seems to work as specified. I’ve attached the box that says it was made in China as well.Read more

The power cord that came with my HP laptop was not only too short for my use, but was really weak, I fixed it as best I could, but knew it would be just a matter of time and I would lose it all together. So started the hunt for a good replacement. This is the results of my search. Not only does it fit as well as the factory plug, but it has a very long cord and appears to be better made. It works as well if not better than what the laptop came with. I have this on my HP Envy.Read more

the charger was fine for charging but did not have any regulation for heat. I plugged it in and left it overnight. When I tried to turn on the notebook in the morning it was dead. I assumed it was overheated. I waited a few hours and, whew, it was fine. Im returning the charger because it almost killed my notebook.Read more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this charger on the 9th of September , I hadn’t open it until about 5 days after getting it. The charger was fine up to today, the 28th. The charger worked for 3 seconds and then the green light on the battery faded until it was off (like in the video) and it has done this every time it turns on. It seems like a shortage issue in less than 2 weeks. Ridiculous and HUGE disappointment. Gettin this refunded.Read more

I accidentally left my original AC adapter/charger at home for a scheduled trip. Searched HP Parts & Accessories website over and over using my HP Laptop serial #, etc. Had absolutely no success even after finding the correct page for parts for my laptop. Shame that HP did not include the AC adapter/charger as a spare part replacement item. Anyway found this adapter, researched it and was a little uncomfortable since my specific HP ENVY 17″ laptop was not identified in their compatibility list. Cross-checked my model with same vintage HP ENVY 17″ laptops and determined I need 53 to 55 watts. This AC adapter/charger automatically handles between 45–65 watts, so, I purchased. Arrived a day sooner than forecast–thanks AMAZON! Plugged it in and it’s been working flawlessly.Read more

Pro: It works like my original HP charger, which is 854054-005, or HP Spare part number 741727-001. The original is a 45W unit. I ran the laptop battery down to shutdown, then plugged in the charger and let it charge to full. No issues, no overheating. I also ran Youtube videos for several hours while plugged in; also no problems. Cons: No velcro strap to stow the cables, but I use the original cable tie for that. However, if I had scrolled down several pages of Amazon listings, I would have found the original 45W HP replacement for about $5 more. And it includes the velcro strap. I have used it only a few days, so I cannot speak to long term reliability. By the way, this product is made in China. One reviewer was upset that a US company might manufacture in China, but the original HP charger is also made in China.Read more

To keep my 4 year old laptop battery charged & because the connection port is kind of loose due to the inserting & pulling out from the connection port at the side of the laptop, over the years, I purchased the PowerSource 19.5V 65W 45W. This adapter is priced right & performs much better that the original HP Adapter. I will buy it again.Read more

I have had this product for several months now and it has held up! My original charger was lost and too expensive to replace so I made this purchase thinking it would at least hold up for a few months before I can build up the courage to drop a lot on a better one but so far I am very satisfied! I expect these kinds of chargers to break and over heat ect. I have had trouble with them in the past but this one has been exactly what I need it to be and I have not had any issues with it.Read more
