I usually use Avery, but I get the 5 pack and I had a few more requests for Christmas shirts so I grabbed these in a pinch. First of all, they come in an envelope, not a box. The post office has a lot of opportunity for folding and creasing. If I didn’t have the Avery instructions memorized, these would have been confusing. After ironing on, they were a bit patchy but I thought maybe I didn’t apply the correct pressure. We still wore them to a Christmas party and my husband dropped a little sauce on his shirt. No biggie, should wipe right off like the Avery ones. Nope, not even a little. Again, I figured I could just give them a quick wash (I didn’t wash them after I applied them the night before thank goodness). Washed them n=both on delicate in cold water and I hung them on the line to dry so I didn’t worry about shrinking since by now I was getting concerned with quality. They ran. I mean bad. the black looks like a dark tinted green now and the white looks like the color of glow in the dark ink where I because concerned that I actually purchased glow in the dark transfers. The others went in the trash. Absolute rubbish. Save yourself hassle instead of a few bucks and get better quality (BTW, I LOVE generics, but never again for this!)Read more

Silly me – after years of using regular transfer paper to iron images onto white or light backgrounds, I immediately printed the reverse of the image I wanted to put on my shirt. I should have read the directions first. This product does not require reversing the image. The “tissue” paper that comes with it is very important to keep. You peel the gridded paper off of your printed design and lay it on your tshirt/fabric with the design face-up. The “tissue” goes on top of the design to protect it while you apply heat with an iron. I have used this to make five shirts, and have been pleased with them all. The design area has stayed attached well, and color has not faded with washing. (Follow washing instructions).Read more

I pressed at 330 degrees Fahrenheit. I took the image off of the transfer paper laded directly or on the garment pressed for 15 seconds using the parchment paper. When I peeled it has to be cool or the image will lift!!!!Read more

Overall this was a pretty good product. A couple of lessons learned though. I had a very difficult time peeling the back off until I decided to use a thread puller – that worked great. I also left a little tab from the cutout to use that as my starting part so I didn’t mess up the original decal when peeking it. I also had a big problem with bleed through on the first one (the material was a navy blue). I adjusted the heat a little lower and only held the iron on it for about 30 seconds and it came out perfect. If there were a couple of spots that still looked dull, I just put the iron back on it for a few seconds. For the price and the ease of use once I figured it out, I would definitely use this again. Hope this helps someone else.Read more

I was unsure if I should buy this because of some of the reviews but I am happy I did. The material isn’t to thick and if you follow the instructions. You should have no problem. I have not washed any of the shirts yet but when I do. I will update this review with the outcome. So far it looks great and feels great. A few shirts I made I did for family members and they love it. Remember, this is not sublimation. If you want something that can be used on an inkjet printer. Then this product is for you.Read more

Easy to use – if you know what you are doing. Dark Transfers are printed directly – do NOT mirror the image. You have to remove the paper backing BEFORE transfer. Start a little rip in the PAPER ONLY in an unused corner. Carefully peel off the paper backing, leaving the plastic image intact. Iron on gently, covering the image with parchment paper or something similar.Read more

Works better than the brand names I bought at Hobby Lobby. Applies and stay on. Have done 12 tee shirts and all are good after several washings.Read more

I found that the results of this transfer paper to give excellent print quality. When it prints out, it looks lighter than it should be. But once it’s ironed on, the colour deepens. People complain that it is hard to peel off. There is a trick to it. You have to rub over the edge of the paper to catch it as it separate. Don’t try to peel from the corners, peel it from the edge near the corner. The other thing when using the paper is that after you iron it on, you have to wait for it to cool off before you peel off the silicone paper. Do not peel it when it’s hot, or the transfer will stick to the silicone paper and ruin your transfer. Once it’s cool, peel it off. The silicone paper should be sticking to the transfer, that is how you know it’s adhered to the fabric properly. It is easy to use once you figure it out, but you do have to be patient with it. Do a test on some scraps of fabric to try it out before you do your real project.Read more

Used this to make 5 identical t-shirts as my “work uniform” – I’m a decorator. The instructions say a couple of things I’m unsure of – like “you can’t apply too much pressure with the iron” well in my experience you can and it results in patchy places – I would go very slowely over with the iron and not put any pressure beyond the iron’s weight itself – but then again I do have a very good iron so maybe mine’s hotter than most. Time for application “3 minutes” again – I’m not sure. Once the top sheet of baking paper starts to look loose I’d stop Couple of tips: Round off slightly any corners (see pic) as this will make them less likely to peel up Removing the Backing paper before ironing (dark fabric) is like wrestling with Satan. Consider how you’re going to do this – I left a bit of extra white – partially peeled it back and cut a bit off the backing paper then cut the white off – thus making a peel here bit. If you start trying to remove the backing paper and you’ve cut down your image to size you’re gonna have problemsRead more

So I had high hopes after seeing reviews, but i used a high quality image, stop spec printer, followed the instructions to a T and I still got results that left much to be desired. The transfer paper was just over powered by the black fabric and the colours that originally popped and were vibrant are now washed out. Luckily I bought this sweatshirt on sale to test out the transfer paper so not the biggest loss, but still disappointing. Also the area where the tracing paper (or whatever its called) was changed colour even though there was no image there to transfer, don know if this will correct itself in the wash but it is noticeable that the black fabric there is different from the rest of the sweatshirt now.Read more
