I have used a high end salmon oil before and we had some stomach issues with it, it was expensive and I just didn’t notice a difference. But let me tell you,,,,,, I started noticing a huge difference quickly with one of our shepherds. She had just weaned a litter of pups and as many may know, they lose a lot of fur and sometimes just don’t look that great. She looks amazing now and is softer than ever. Case #2,,, I have a Czechoslovakian Vlcak whose coat has always felt like a brillo pad, well no more! He is softening up and doing great. He is a tough one because he has a VERY delicate tummy. I also have a black and tan German Shepherd that is fed well and just has never had a shine to him, well he does now. Our other black and tan has always looked like smooth shiny black velvet. He is starting to look like her. I also give it to our other twe Czech Vlcak females and our tiny, tiny 3 pound chorkie who has never had a good coat bless her heart. She is starting to get some new growth in and starting to shine as is our chubby little Boston Terrier. And I love the fact that this is just salmon oil! That’s it, no other nasty or useless ingredients. So you see, I have tried this on 8 dogs with amazing affects and hope you will have the same. I paid full price for this and I am in no way affiliated with Pure Paw just so you know this is from the heart. @apollospackRead more

My 10 year old lab mix, Cody, was diagnosed a little over a year ago with some kind of arthritis/pain in his lower back/hindquarters. He was so miserable- some days he could not even get up off of his bed in the mornings. His vet put him on carprofen and gabapentin, and it fixed him right up- he felt great again. But the vet said we needed to try to get him on a lower dose (or off of it completely) so it wouldn’t damage his liver. Every time I would try to lower or skip a dose, he would be in pain again- unable to get up off of his bed. 🙁 When I read about this Salmon Oil, I thought it *might* help him…and my other dog, a 10 year old beagle mix, was starting to kind of limp a little bit now and then, and was going up and down stairs a little bit slower, so I thought it might help him, too. I thought, “Well, it’s kind of expensive, but if it helps….” So I ordered the big 32 oz. bottle. It arrived Feb. 1, and I started giving it to all three of my dogs that very night. I knew it wouldn’t work overnight, or even in a week. I decided to give it about a month. This kind of stuff takes time to kind of get into the body and start working. Finally, after about 5 weeks, I skipped giving Cody his pain meds (carprofen) one night. He was FINE the next day. And the next, and the next!! He has not had a pain pill since March 8! I d/c’ed the gabapentin shortly after that, and he has not had any problems whatsoever. He is happy and runs around easily, and is pain-free. I am SO happy! The beagle mix seems to be feeling better, too. He did not have the severe problems that Cody did, but he seems to get around more easily than he did. I have not seen him get up slowly after lying down for awhile, and then walk slowly for a few paces until he kind of warms up- I haven’t been seeing him do that anymore. 🙂 I dose them according to the label on the bottle. I mix it into their dry food at night, and they love it. Cody sees me get it out of the fridge and he starts barking for it- he knows why he feels better! The big 32 oz. bottle lasted us (3 dogs) about 7 weeks. So the price of the oil, $34.95, divided by three dogs and seven weeks, comes down to about $1.66 per week, per dog. That’s not much for good health, and seeing them feel better is priceless. 🙂 And the meds were more expensive than that, and were hard on his liver! So I am really happy about my decision to try this Salmon Oil- and I just ordered another big bottle last week. I don’t want to be without this stuff- it really works for us! This is a real review. I didn’t get anything for it- I’m just thrilled that it works!Read more

This is my 2nd order for Pure Paw Organic Wild-Caught Salmon for our little dog Taffy – a Multi Poo. We live in Northern Arizona, and about 2 years ago allergies hit our little dog with a BAM! Every Spring the same thing happened – she began licking her paws, which then led to her biting her feet, leading to almost bloody paws. It was going on day and night. After trying med after med from our vet and even having the expensive allergy testing done on her (allergic to 3 grasses plus other allergens), we were about ready to give up this year when we were told that steroids might be the only answer. Absolutely NOT as this leads to other issues. I began my research on Amazon products and found Pure Paw products. We began giving her this Salmon product in April. Within ten days we saw so much improvement, and shortly after she no longer chewed on her feet. Once in a great while we see her licking her feet, but when we say no-no she immediately stops, so we think it is only a habit that she now needs to break. This bottle has lasted 2 months (dose depends on her weight). After spending hundreds of dollars at the vet, we are now thrilled to find the answer to her troubling issue with this Pure Paw Salmon. Her red paw fur has finally returned to its beautiful white. I suggest you try it AND have patience. Perhaps it may take a little longer with your dog, but I don’t think you will be disappointed in the end.Read more

I was very skeptical about this product, but I tried it and was amazed at the results. I have a yorkipoo that loves to dig up critters and roll in the dirt. She’s not a dainty little dog. She likes getting dirty. I have always used the best shampoos and even cream rinse with her, but sometimes she needs baths more than once a week! I was worried about her skin and fur with that much washing. So I tried the Pure Paw Nutrition Organic Wild-Caught Salmon Oil. I’m a scientist so I don’t usually make an opinion on one test subject. But this oil obviously helped my dog. This is how I saw the benefit: 1. Softer fur that even my groomer noticed! 2. Neighbors that were used to petting her mentioning that her fur seemed softer. 3. She stopped scratching at her skin. 4. She stopped bighting at her feet and gnawing on skin. 5. In my opinion, her fur looks shinier. 6. She loves the taste. I put a few drops on her dry food and she can’t wait to eat it! In addition, I loved the customer service when I had questions about dosage for my two year old dog and the new puppy we will be getting soon. I would recommend this for my friends with dogs. I am buying my groomer a bottle as a gift, for her multiple dogs.Read more

My dog is a 12 yr old Mastiff cross rescue, almost 100 lbs. We feed him raw (meat, bone, organ, and fish) and decent, but not exceptional, kibble. His joints became very sore really quickly this year, to the point where I wondered (in about April) if we would have to put him down before the end of the summer. He could only manage a few telephone poles up and down the street, and I had a taken to just driving him around (though he was hesitating getting up into my low backseat). He’s been on 30 units of Metacam a day for a couple of months which helped a lot but still he had so little endurance before heavy limping set in. Sometimes he would need to stop and just sit, it was that bad. I’ve been using this for about a month now, 3 pumps morning and evening – yes, more than they recommend. Just the past couple of weeks, there has been a huge difference in endurance. Yesterday he walked the perimeter of half a soccer field, and then had interest and energy for another 10 min of sniffing at another park. I also notice that he is more awake and alert, more interested in us and his surroundings- as if he is less focussed on age and pain. Because of this big change, I have ordered another bottle (my 8oz bottle is not yet gone after about a month of 4-6 pumps a day) and also a bottle of this brand’s glucosamine. We are middle class, but $20/mo or so is pretty damn good for these results. My dog is a picky eater and though he doesn’t clamour for it, he will eat it with little hesitation. He had no digestive issues. His excessive dandruff is almost completely gone, but.that usually tones down anyway as we move into summer? Definitely in the house, but again, this often happens as he gets his summer coat. Fur does feel healthier where.before it had been very dry, dull, and brittle.Read more

This salmon oil really works! I originally bought it just as an omega-3 supplement for my 12 year old pupper because I am worried about his joints but I’ve also noticed that it helps him with his itching. He likes to lick his chest, belly, paws and everywhere in general sometimes leading to hotspots. Whenever he’s resting you can catch him licking himself. I have noticed a huge improvement on his itching when I started giving him the salmon oil in his food. This is actually the second salmon oil Ive ordered. The first one I bought wasn’t the pump version, it was actually the gel capsules. I find that the pump one is easier to add to his food because sometimes when he bites into the capsule, it makes a mess squirting in other areas and getting it all over his face etc. When I ran out of the first salmon oil, I noticed that he went straight back to licking himself everywhere. Right after I ordered the second salmon oil a couple of days later I saw a huge improvement once again! I am so amazed by the actual results that I honestly believe everything this oil says it does in its description.Read more

I have 2 dogs, one is a lab and healthy. The youngest suffers many skin problems due to food and seasonal allergies. I make frequent trips to the vet during the year. I have been using more natural products lately, the vet is 300.00 a pop and it only takes 3 or 4 visits to feel the crunch. Food allergies are easy to manage, we just avoid her allergens and for my pup, we just no longer purchase potato and flax products for the home. Seasonal allergies are another ball of wax. I had been using medicated shampoos, emu oil, and essential oils to calm and soothe her skin and to prevent secondary yeast and other skin maladies. I hate the regime the vet uses, corticosteroids and antibiotics… the ear and eye drops work from the vet, but the key is preventing flare-ups and I felt that we have only been reacting to her symptoms the last 4 years and the vet is taking advantage of us. I give my dog biotin and a very good probiotic and she is a restricted commercial raw diet based on chicken, you would be surprised how many dog foods use potato and its starches and flax as the omega. I wanted to add good quality fish derived Omega’s and always worry about flax so I am glad to say that the results of this oil are very, very good. Now the good part, my dog’s scratching has been reduced a lot. Her skin is not nearly as inflamed and so I can see that it is benefiting her, and we just started it about a week ago. I still have to watch her eyes because of her hayfever, but that may improve in time as we continue the product and as the season passes. This has been added to a shopping list and will be purchased again, the pump works great and it’s easy to dispense, and both dogs love the taste and I can see in my dog’s improvement that it is good quality and that it works.Read more

I’ve been putting fish oil drops (along with a number of other drops and powders) into my senior cat’s food for a few years now. He seems to like the taste of this oil better than the oil I was using previously, so that’s very good. I like that the manufacturer states that it contains Vitamins D3 and B complex, because he needs B complex particularly, since he has chronic kidney problems. His little feet seem to be a bit warmer, possibly due to the B complex helping with his anemia. Also, he doesn’t shed as much when taking fish oils of any kind, which is a plus. Finally, fish oil has a bit of a laxative effect, which is something he also needs. I haven’t seen miracles from this product, but would not expect to as natural products usually encourage a slow but steady positive effect on health. This one seems to be of good quality and I like that it is organic.Read more

My Zoo’s coats are amazing!! I have 4 dogs and a cat (who fortunately or unfortunately thinks he is a big (really big) German Shepherd). They love the oil and I have really noticed a difference in their coats. We have had many compliments on their coats. My oldest is 10 years old female Shepherd 90 lbs. I haven’t re really seen an improvement in her hips but to be honest I didn’t expect one. Our second fur baby is a 55lb rescue from Cuba and after 7 years she finally has an under coat (she’s 8 years old). My third is a Male German Shepherd (110 lbs) he’s 7 years old and his coat is beautiful but no difference in the shedding! Again wasn’t really expecting one. Our fourth is a rescue he’s 2 years old and is a Min-Pin. His coat is sleek and very noticeable because of his shine. Then there’s the cat/German Shepherd. We got him as a 7 week old Feral kitten. He’s now 8 years old. He has always had skin issues but we have noticed that after a month on the oil his coat is growing in very nicely. So I highly recommend this oil. At first I had issues getting them to eat it on their food but that only took a few days for them to decide they really liked it. I’m reminded by the cat/German Shepherd if I forget to put it on the food. So all in all I’m very happy with the oil and yes I will continue to buy this product from this seller. Update Just received my order. Not sure what bottle number this is and it won’t be my last. This is a staple at our house. We get so many compliments on their coats. This oil is absolutely perfect. Wish I could give it 10 stars.Read more
