So these do exactly what they are supposed to even though I originally thought they were both duds. After reading reviews, others had the same problem so I made a quick video. I followed the directions to make my own combination of 7371. While that worked, I failed to then close the lock after I scrambled the combination. This is what you do on traditional locks like on lockers so people dont walk by and pop it off. To actually lock this lock you have to be on your combination(in my case 7371) push down on the lock THEN scramble your combination. Because it took me so long to understand this, I gave the product a star less. I hope this helps somebody!Read more

This is an update based on the customer service team harassing me into updating my review that they disagreed with. I initially rated this a 3/5 star. Personally I never rate anything 5 stars-I’d have to basically die from joy to rate something 5 stars. The reason for rating them a 1/5 stars now is because “Brenda” in customer service continues to harass me into either removing my rating or updating a better rating based on customer service. They reached out to me in the beginning with concern over my initial rating. I guess they want 5 stars? Idk

After about 20 uses of locking/unlocking, I went to go unlock this lock with the custom combination I set when I first got it, and it didn’t unlock. The lock was stuck for whatever reason, I’m guessing I may have accidentally reset the combination to something random when I had it unlocked and in my bag (which is VERY easy to do by the way). Regardless, I had to get bolt cutters to cut the lock and get all of my valuables out of my locker (which was pretty easy to do). If you’re going to buy a lock like this one where you can custom-set the combination, I’d really suggest getting something of higher quality as you’ll save yourself a ton of time/hassle when this thing inevitably gets reset.Read more

if i could give 0 stars I would. I bought a two pack and neither of them worked! I was able to open them initially but once I reset the code neither the code I set nor the original code was working. I was determined it was my fault so I kept at it and googled videos and everything for a solid hour. Then my brother, boyfriend and step dad all tried and failed as well. I’m sending them back. Update: 7/16 the company sent me a new package of two prior to my return even being finished. And both locks work! I appreciate the great customer service so I’ve update to a 4 Star review.Read more

Disappointed with these locks. Of the two pack, one broke while trying to set the combination, rendering it unusable. The other one is still working, but the way the locking mechanism works is unlike other combination locks, and to me, it’s vastly inferior. The portion of the shank that goes into the lock is tiny (maybe 1/8″) and if the numbers are misaligned even slightly the lock won’t close. With other locks, you can depress the shank while the numbers are scrambled, and the lock will close. With this, the combination must remain intact when you depress the shank, and then the dials must be moved while holding the shank down, and then it will stay down. There is no “click” to know that the lock is closed (or opened). Overall feels flimsy and hard to use. I’d return the item, but for the low price (and because I already threw away the first broken one) I’m just eating the $10 and writing this review.Read more

I really like the ability code your own numbers. Combo uses 4 different numbers seen on the far edge of the lock. Downside – Your numbers used to open the lock have to be the same to close/lock the lock – that is, once open, you can’t re-lock the lock if your code numbers aren’t still set. That means, unless you scramble the numbers each time you unlock the lock, your code can be seen by others for the duration your lock is unlocked. Obviously you can scramble the numbers after you open your lock, but then you have re-set them before you lock the lock. I hope that makes sense. In short, I just wish you could scramble the numbers immediately after opening the lock and be able to lock the lock with the numbers scrambled.Read more
