I don’t know what is up with Redragon. They have they have the potential to be a great budget hardware company but they make stupid mistake mistakes. Just to make it simple: Software: The software looks like garbage and guess what: The functions for adjusting the colors/animation does not work at all in Windows 11. You can’t select any color to change it and you can’t change the effect either. Since it’s isn’t changeable on the mouse itself your stuck with one animation and can only control the speed and brightness. This also happens with the color settings for the DPI changes. The other functions work fine and have good amount of customizations. None of the dropdown boxes work. The modes of color animations and color picking is extremely limited. Hardware: Shell: Matte black on the top. Glossy black on the sides?? 2 pieces Bottom/one piece top. Build: Too much flex on the sides and creaks on both sides. I don’t know how this got past quality control. Feels flimsy on the side and I am not a picky person but it does bother me. Combined with the glossy side plastic it does inspire confidence. The buttons are ok. Feels normal. Not to light or to heavy. Scroll wheel is a nice rubber with good resistance. Might be the best thing on the mouse. Performs pretty well. Lift off is pretty shallow. No skips or lags. The wireless performance is good. I had not had enough time to judge the battery but it seems to last pretty long. Conclusion: Decent performer but the software being non-functional (as well as ugly) and the flimsy sides being terrible makes this a bad buy. You could probably get something cheaper that feels better in the hand but probably will have no customization software. I want to like this mouse but it is difficult. Update: Redragon sent me another mouse. This time there is less flex on the sides. Either they made a change or the original I received was defective. Either way the second one is now useable. However the software problem where no drop-down menus work is still there. I have not heard or seen an update for this yet. 2nd update: The software problem only seems to effect Windows 11. Tested the software in Windows 10 and it works.Read more

It does exactly what one would expect from a gaming mouse. It tracks well, tracks accurately at both the high and low end of its DPI range (I have seen many that don’t). It feels nice in the hand, has a fairly clean button click and reset. The Scroll wheel has enough drag, and decent enough snap points to make in game weapon changes quick and accurate without also being annoying in day-to-day tasks. The lights are good enough. USB-C without proprietary connectors. However, the battery life is relatively short, leaving me recharging easily two or three times more often than say the G703. The charging cable it comes with, is a bit of rough job. Seems like a standard USB cable to me, woven jacket, very stiff. Not a good cable to play with while charging. Though it does snap in nice and tight. The lighting software is meh. It does the job, but while other companies have all-in-one solutions to control all their devices, Redragon does not. So if you have, say a Redragon RGB keyboard, you will need to install separate software to control those lights. Overall, quite pleased with this. Will have to wait and see how long it lasts now.Read more

I used a wired Redragon mouse for my desktop a few years ago, it was nothing special, no gaming features or anything but it was cheap and reliable and I never had any issues. So I thought I’d give this one a shot for my in-bed/traveling laptop gaming, and it shines in every way. Every button is programmable, the RGB lighting is true multi-color LED lit with brightness settings and pattern speed, there are tons of settings to tweak including the color of the scroll wheel for different DPI zones and individual DPI zones can have their DPI fine tuned to your exact desired feel. It has a configurable polling rate up to 1000hz, although it defaults to 125. I imagine this is to save battery life. The real kicker is that this is advertised as a lightweight gaming mouse like other honeycomb shell mice, and the product page claims 100 grams which is decently impressive. But weighing it with a high-accuracy digital kitchen scale, it’s actually even lighter, at 95g! They are underselling this thing. It is the lightest full-sized wireless mouse I have ever used. The software includes macro recording for button assignment and it works well. The macros can also be manually edited after recording or programmed manually which is really nice. Very pleased that Redragon would include this kind of advanced functionality for power users. In terms of feel, it’s a claw grip and not a palm grip, so it makes the weight even more important. It has a good hand feel with textured sides and the two side buttons have a different height and texture so you can discern which is which just by touch. I didn’t experience any fatigue after a few hours of gaming. I have not yet drained the battery but 4 hours of MMO gaming took it down to 80% with RBG lighting turned on and brightness lowered. Didn’t experience any hiccups, lag or disconnection issues. Mouse tracking is very accurate at 1000hz, but I turned off “increase pointer precision” in the software because it seemed to introduce a strange-feeling acceleration/deceleration. With it off my movements were 1:1. Overall, you’re probably not going to get something with this solid of a build, at this weight, with this many buttons and features at the $40 price point anywhere else. It’s fantastic. The only complaint I have, and it’s so minor that it doesn’t affect the 5 star rating in my opinion, is that the rear 3rd top button is very far back and requires you to curl your index finger all the way back to press it. As a result I have it bound to a function I use often but not often enough that I’d get annoyed having to hit it all the time. In fact if they had made all 3 buttons on top slightly shorter and closer together it would have solved this issue entirely. But again, it’s a minor issue, and I’ve already adjusted to it. Great job Redragon!Read more
