I was finally able to try these new filters out & I’m impressed. They are cheaper than the Brand name that I’ve been using & yet the water is very clear & tastes great. The filter is a lot lighter & seems to filter quicker. Since this is the 1st one I’ve used I’m very optimistic that the next several will be just as good. The 1st pitcher of water needs to be discarded (I watered my plants with it) then there after it is very clear. As long as the price remains less than the “Brand” name I will definitely be buying these.Read more

Purchased this due to the price but this is what you get from this product. Carbon flakes floating in the top filtration basin and in the base of the pitcher, the water you are drinking is carbon deposit. The carbon is so small you do not see it at first. But over a small period of time, you can see the carbon in the base of the pitcher as seen in the pictures.Read more

These are absolute garbage. They do not last 1/10 of a normal white Brita filter. The filters themselves feel about half the weight of a white Brita filter. With a brand new white Brita filter my water went from 120 TDS to gradually about 270 TDS after about 20 gallons. This filter brand new went from a TDS of 117 to 333 after 5 gallons of water. Absolute trash and a waste if money. I wish I can still return these. DO NOT BUY.Read more

Sure enough, these worked with my house’s space saver Brita pitcher! The model that we have has a button at the top that blinks red when a filter is in need of replacement. These filters are not recognized by that meter so it’s still blinking red. It just means I’ll have to be more mindful of changing them out frequently, which is fine. These work great so far and definitely seem like the best bang for the buck!Read more

I bought this because they are sold as equivalent replacements for the Brita pitchers and the larger “tank” type with the spigot. Nowhere on the box or the flyer with installation instructions tucked inside does it mention how long the filters are supposed to last before you need to replace with a fresh filter. The instructions only show using the filters in the pitcher and no other models like the larger tank type dispenser. These filters take a VERY LONG TIME to filter water, compared to the original Brita filters I have been using – I would guess about four or five times as long and the Brita brand filters. I’m a little skeptical about these at this point.Read more

The filtering drip is so slow that it took nearly an hour to fill the large container. Additionally, I rinsed the cartridge several times and still had several carbon crumbs floating. That’s annoying. I’d rather spend the extra – buy the original brand than to deal with that.Read more

The Aqua Crest replacement filters do not perform per the specifications. Initially there was a lot of carbon black specs that filtered through into the bottom of the water pitcher after each water fill. After about a week the black specs minimally filtered through but never disappeared. Next the filter started to drain the water through at a much slower rate. Now the filter has totally stopped draining the water through the filter. I took the filter out ran it under cold water and shook the filter and replaced it in the pitcher and still no water will filter through. I bought the replacement filters 4 weeks ago and have had various issues right from the start and it is a few days past being able to return to Amazon, so it is a waste of money for me for I will be throwing the balance of replacement filters out. Went out and bought Brita brand replacement filters today and on the first pitcher of water through the new filter not even 1 black spec and the water drained totally into the pitcher. Spend the extra money and buy Brita.Read more

I will have to to wait till I have used them awhile since I purchased them and have used them for less than 30 days . But the taste of the water has changed and I feel way better than I did when I just drank the water from my tap. The filters are doing what they say they are and the price is fair . I will see about purchasing the filter device that connects to the tap, so I can filter the water direct from the tap and I won’t have to keep filling the kettle so often. Over all I will give it a 5 star rating , I’m very happy with it.Read more
